Indigo opened his mouth to say that he liked the balls, but shut it again before the words came out. "I like these," he said instead, pointing with his free hand. "But the stars would go with your tattoo." And it wasn't Indigo who'd be wearing them anyway. Just because he wouldn't wear the stars didn't mean they weren't totally Jory. "I think you'd have more fun with those," he said of the stars.

Jory hmm'd and was silent as the buzzing across the half wall stopped for what seemed to be the final time. "Yeah, and they'll be flat..." The edges would be more likely to get caught on clothes, but he thought it would be more comfortable to sleep with. He decided on the silver colored ones and told himself to get a tan over the summer because it would probably look totally awesome like that. "I have fun with all my jewelry, though, I like it, but I don't wear as much as I used to."

"You're awesome either way," Indigo said. He felt daring giving Jory's hand a squeeze and wondered how much longer he'd get to hold it. He wished he could do it at school too, but was sure it would be crossing the line a little to do so. Well, they had the times they were alone at least.

"You do wonders for my self esteem," Jory teased. "I'm gonna get a big head if you keep on." He didn't mind getting compliments, it was nice. He ran his thumb lightly against Indigo's. The voices across the wall shifted to cleaning and maintenance procedures and Jory reluctantly slipped his hand free. There wasn't anyone around who could turn them in for it, but Indigo was still technically not out. "I think you're pretty awesome, too."

Indigo smiled, and after a moment curled his hand up and tucked it into his hoodie pocket. "Everyone needs a big head once in a while," he teased, blushing and looking away at the double meaning he'd seen when Jory had said it. He really shouldn't have, but it was too easy.

Jory laughed and shook his head. "Well, we can help each other out there, can't we?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. At least they were free to tease and hang out and be together, or else the wait would have been unbearable. The men from the back rounded the wall and began finishing the transaction. Jory tried to convince his face to take on a more acceptable expression.

Indigo struggled not to laugh and kept his head down, though his hair wasn't long enough to hide much of anything. Less than two months, he reminded himself. It felt like forever even though a month had passed already. He'd owled Jory a chocolate sampler on the seventh, anonymously, as the demanded chocolate. He knew it had been a joke, but it had been something he could do without getting in trouble. Less than two months left.

Once the other customer was gone the man behind the counter looked up at them and smiled, greeting Jory with a I haven't seen you in a while after a moment of trying to recognize him. "I want to get my hips done today, and I was kind of hoping he could come back with me because I'm kind of a little terrified," Jory said, looking over at Indigo. The man nodded, having never been one to refuse having someone else in the back.

Indigo had tried to look innocent and not like he'd just been swapping innuendo with his secret boyfriend, but he'd been approved with hardly a glance. That should have relaxed him, but he wasn't into the piercing part of piercings, only the part after when you got to play with and admire them. In less than two months. He looked at Jory from the corner of his eye and let himself imagine, just a little.

Jory and the man behind the counter talked briefly about the procedure, then the anchor tops were picked out and they were led to the back. A felt tip pen marked the skin where the piercings were going to go and Jory made sure he liked the placement with a look in a full length mirror and a look toward Indigo. Jory refused to watch as he laid on the table and the man got to work.
There was a hole made, then enlarged, which wasn't too bad. Putting the anchor in sucked and that was when Jory demanded a hand to hold. He only looked down when the first pair was finished, the silver stars resting against reddened skin that would possibly bruise up thanks to the various instruments used. He refused to watch again for the third and fourth piercings, but it was all over sooner than he had expected.
It was only perhaps fifteen minutes from the time they'd walked behind the wall when Jory stood to eye his new jewelry in the mirror, his shirt pulled up enough to see how they looked with his barbell belly button ring showing.

Indigo was probably quiet longer than he should have been, but it was hard not to see how amazing the new jewelry was going to look when it healed. He glanced over his shoulder to see how far away the piercer was, then leaned close and whispered, "It looks really good. Like, really." His hand was only a little crushed.

Jory grinned wide and glanced over at Indigo. He loved it already, maybe more than the rest of his piercings. To be honest, every piercing he'd had had held that honor for some length of time. "Thanks, totally worth it," he said. The man instructed him to keep bandages over the piercings for a couple of days and clean them regularly. As long as they didn't get infected or something, then Jory was gold. It only took another few minutes to pay and end up back out on the street.

"We should catch a movie or something while we're in London," Indigo suggested. "Have you ever seen one?" Jory might not even know what a movie was, though with a squib brother he might have heard the word. Or not. "I think Brits call it going to the cinema."

"I went to one once," Jory said, thinking back. "It was a while ago, with Lyric. It was cool, I haven't seen one since then." He hadn't had much reason to go see one. However, he did remember that it was a dark room and no one paid much attention to anyone else. It could definitely be something worth doing.

"There's a lot out right now," Indigo said. Not that he'd looked it up online or anything. He wouldn't do something like that. "There's comedy, action, and a horror movie. That one sounds pretty cool." Indigo flicked a glance aside at Jory to see if he'd pick up on the direction that suggestion was going. If Jory jumped and grabbed his hand or something, it was the movie's fault.
