Totally Not A Date (Indigo/Jory)

[Jory Addison]

With a pop, Jory apparated into Diagon Alley with Indigo. He'd already exchanged enough money for the outing a few days before during a trip into Diagon Alley for things for Astra so they could head on out into London. Thankfully, it was a nice day out and he wasn't even wearing a coat. "I'm really glad you came with me," he said, grinning as he looked over at Indigo. He'd gotten piercings in the past alone, but it was always better to have someone with him. Besides, he got to spend more time with Indigo.

"Yeah, of course I did," Indigo said. His smile was a little shy, but only because he couldn't help imagining how awesome those piercings were going to look. But he couldn't touch. They'd be tender for a while and he knew it, so maybe that would help with the not touching. Just one month left!

"I, uh... looked online? and like... people with piercings? Most piercings anyway, they don't have to worry about getting stuck together. Not like with braces or anything." He only flicked a glance at Jory, then looked ahead, his face slightly pink at the hypothetical situation. Well, it was hypothetical now.

Jory grinned and lightly nudged Indigo. "Well, that's good to know," he said. He hadn't thought much about it, but it was good to know for sure it was unlikely. "You know, I wanted to go ahead and get this done so they'll be at least mostly healed by the end of term." Sure, he could have waited and saved the money, but he had wanted them for so long and it was worth it.

"They'll be awesome," Indigo said. He really had a thing for that part of the body, something that had never registered before he'd had so many discussions about his own piercing. Not that he didn't love t&a, but there was just something about the smooth skin... Indigo caught himself before he got himself in trouble.

"I've been thinking about trying out Divination," he said, stuffing his hands into the pockets of the unzipped hoodie he wore. "I'm decent at Potions, but I don't love it or anything. I figure I've got to start somewhere."

Jory's eyes brightened at the possibilities that offered. "You should! I could help you out, and you'd have more reason to visit me," he said. "And maybe once we're both at university we could take classes together." It didn't matter that he would be a year ahead, he was just thrilled at the prospect of more reasons to spend time together.

[Indigo Noble]

Indigo looked aside at Jory, and his lips curved. He might have thought about that. Just maybe. "I wish I didn't have a year left. My parents are so happy about Valfirdu that I'm getting an owl a week telling me how amazing college is. I don't know if they're afraid I'll change my mind or if it's just really that awesome." He hoped it was that awesome.

"Well, it's gonna be awesome," Jory said as they moved out of Diagon Alley and through the Leaky Cauldron. "You'll get a trial run with me so you'll get all the awesome without the school work." He hated that Indigo wasn't going to be able to join him immediately and he just hoped that they would get to see each other like once a week or something.

[Indigo Noble]

"I'll visit like all the time, you'll get sick of me before Halloween," Indigo claimed. He gave a somewhat nervous glance toward the bar, but didn't see the bartender there. Still, it seemed like a good idea to just get through the place.

"I suck at crystal gazing, you'll have to help me figure out what to get into. All I ever see is what's going on up my nose."

Jory laughed and shook his head. "There are a ton of parts of Divination, you can definitely find something you're good at. And there's no way I'm getting tired of you." Aside from the fact that he hadn't managed to get sick of Indigo during the almost-year they'd been in the same house, he would probably be craving Indigo's company.

[Indigo Noble]

"I'm decent at tea leaves," Indigo said. "I mean, if you squint you'll see something, even if it doesn't make any sense. It seems like Runes is the big thing around here. You do Tarot though, right? And the crystal ball?" They were on the street now, but it wasn't like they'd get in trouble if they were overheard. Muggles just figured they'd heard wrong and went on their way.

"Yeah, there's not much in Divination I don't do, and mostly I have my own stuff. I don't have a telescope, like a really good one, but maybe I'll treat myself to one once I move out," Jory said. He lapsed into momentary silence as he considered the possibility of having a real telescope instead of the little flimsy student one he'd had for ages. "But yeah, I really like the cards, they're fun."

"You should do a reading for me some time," Indigo said. "Tell me what I'm supposed to do and save me the trouble." He had a year to see if he could get inspired by Divination and he didn't need to pick a major until his second year at university, but it couldn't hurt to mess around and see if he could find a direction to look in.

[Jory Addison]

Jory laughed again. "Yeah, we'll see. Sometimes the cards don't tell you what you wanna hear, though. I try not to do readings about myself. To be honest, my readings and things have been getting more true over the past year or so, it's kind of freaky." He hadn't told much of anyone about how strangely accurate some of his predictions had been.

[Indigo Noble]

"What have they been saying?" Indigo asked, looking curiously at Jory. "Are you reading for the school, or what?" If he wasn't reading for himself, Indigo couldn't really think of what he'd be wondering about. Maybe that was just Indigo, though. If he was any good he'd be asking all sorts of questions about his future and what he should be doing.

"Little things, mostly," Jory said. "I mean, not even readings sometimes. Sometimes I just know. I thought it was just coincidence at first, like I'd see someone falling in the ball or something and the next day I'd see them trip up the stairs, but it got to where I'd know something or see something like once a week." It was kind of ridiculous, but since it was never anything important he wasn't too concerned.
