"Oh, wow. Like, serious seer stuff?" Indigo asked. Just knowing wasn't typical, or else there wouldn't be so many forms of Divination. "Is it like, full-on visions, or a strong hunch, or what?" This was very interesting, and Indigo might have wondered why Jory hadn't said anything before, but there had been some drama going on for a while.

"It's a hunch, a feeling, I don't know," Jory said. "Sometimes it makes me worry, because I don't really want to know my future. I guess it's one of the reasons I've been focusing on Astronomy recently." Astronomy was broader and, though it tied in with Divination, it wasn't as focused on specific predictions as the other schools.

"It's too bad Professor Pythia's such a flake," Indigo said. "I bet she could tell you what's going on. You're awesome at Divination. You could probably kick anyone's ass at all of it." Indigo was quiet a moment, then nodded to himself. "University will be good. Cat said all the professors were really into it, maybe you can figure things out there."

Jory nodded and looked to his side across the street, absently watching as people passed by. It would be nice to have a professional he could talk to about it. As far as he knew, there weren't any seers in his history. Not that he really thought he was a seer, he couldn't be, could he? He wasn't special enough to have that kind of power. "Well, I guess I'll see in a month. You could always try to do something with the paper like we talked about with Cat," he said, bringing the conversation back to Indigo.

"I could," Indigo agreed. "I guess I could keep us out of it that way. I mean, you never read anything about Professor Alexander in the Daily Prophet, right?" That would be very good. Then he wouldn't have to worry what anyone noticed and his parents could read it all they wanted.

"Yeah, that'd be cool. I haven't been in the papers or whatever very much, and I'd like to keep it that way," Jory said. "I dunno what major you would take to do that, though. You've got a while to figure it out, though, you can try out a bit of everything." He would help however he could, but outside of Divination he didn't have much talent.

"Yeah, I'm glad about that," Indigo said. "I've thought about Transfiguration too, but I don't know if it's just because Professor Blackwood-Hardt makes it look cool. His first day he said it had saved his life." That was definitely cool.

"Yeah, I think I remember him saying something like that. Him and Michael have done a lot. I'm pretty sure they've been through more than most old people have," Jory said. He only knew basics and generalities, but it was enough to determine that the pair often had something going on. Somehow, he didn't think that Divination had ever saved anyone's life. "You should give it a try, I bet he'd give you extra lessons if you asked."

"You think?" Indigo asked. "That'd be cool." Maybe he'd learn how to change his hair color all the time. He could save his parents money on hair dye. He knew they'd appreciate that. "I still want tips on Divination though."

"Oh, well, of course, I'll give you all the Divination tips you want," Jory teased, grinning. He liked Dare and thought he was a good guy, he doubted the man would turn someone down. "My schedule's booked, though, so you'll have to come to my place for private lessons after I leave my office." My office. It was still weird to think about, much less say.

Indigo blushed, but grinned all the same. "I think I could do that," he said, looking aside at Jory. It was a special kind of torment every time, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the time they spent together. Why was it so much easier thinking of Jory as his boyfriend than it had been with Mari? Was it just because Mari had been the first?
"Do I need to bring my pajamas in case we study too late?" Was that taking it too far?

Jory's teeth found his lip as his mind took the comment and ran. "Well, you're a prefect, you should know better than to stay out after curfew," he said. Then he laughed. "I say that like I never did anything I wasn't supposed to when I was prefect." He hadn't completely ignored his duties and taken advantage of his position, but every now and then it had happened, especially during the whole Emilian fiasco.

Indigo chuckled at the thought. He'd heard that Jory had gotten in trouble once, but it hadn't cost him his title.
"Silver takes care of about everything," he said. "The school's going to go crazy without him next year."

"Well, maybe the next head boy will be cool and take care of everything, then you can sneak off and visit more often," Jory said. All the relationships at Hogwarts were lucky, since they all lived in the same building. Even now he was seeing Indigo more often than he would be once he moved. They would be trading convenience for the chance at a real relationship. He thought that was a fair trade.

"That'd be cool," Indigo said. "I've got no idea who they'll get to replace him. Silver wasn't ever a prefect, but if they look at the prefects..." He gave a shrug and a little tilt of his head, but didn't look at Jory. "If they offered it to me, I don't think I'd want it."
