Indigo scrolled up to glance at Marius's likes and recent activity. He doubted they'd ever have crossed on the Internet, if the guy hadn't come up to him. "I don't play many apps," he admitted. "Just SongPop, and sometimes Flair." He had what could have been an embarrassing number of boards, if he didn't like them so much. "Mostly just my blogs. I've got a wizarding one. You'd have to make a WordPress account, though. It's set to private."

Well, everyone loved flair, how could they not? There was literally flair for everything. "I've never used WordPress," Mari said. He was about to say something else but a beep from one of his keychains reminded him of the time. "Oh my God, the train!" he said, eyes widening. "We should leave, do you know where it is, Indigo?" he asked, reaching for his scarf to wrap it tightly around his neck again. It was way too cold in England.

Indigo glanced down at his clock. Damn. They weren't late yet, but considering the distance, they really did need to get going. "It's something under two miles, I've got walking directions printed out."
He shut down his laptop and started packing things away, then slid out a lightly crumpled sheet of computer paper. Charing Cross Road to King's Cross Station, it said at the top, and written neatly at the bottom, Platform 93/4. No matter how many times he did this, his mother always wrote it out for him. He was lucky she hadn't pinned a note to his shirt.

Two miles! Did they really have to walk that far? Castiel paused in the act of winding his best grey linen scarf around his neck, for all the good it had done when they'd actually been outside. His fingerless gloves hadn't done much better, though at least he had a nice, heavy jacket and a hat. He was especially proud of his new derby. Cheyenne had added a black velvet band to it as a going away gift.
"Can't we just take that bus?" he asked, hoping Marius's dad had been right. "It goes wherever you want, right?"

Indigo made a face. "Yeah, but sometimes it takes a while to get somewhere. It goes all through Britain, and it makes stops in alphabetical order." King's Cross would be after Charing Cross, but who knew how many people might be dropped off at places starting with any letter between C and K. He'd never even consider calling it in the middle of Diagon Alley, even if that would bump him forward a letter.

Mari shook his head, especially now that he'd heard what Indigo said. "We can try the bus some other time, I wanna see more of London, anyway, even if it's super cold London, and maybe we'll find some places to visit when we can come back. Maybe we'll find you a raven store," he teased. He packed away his now shut down netbook and unfolded a pinned back bit of his gloves which, when pulled over his fingers, turned them into mittons. "Besides, we gotta get used to the cold, don't we?" he asked, just stopping himself from saying Kurai-Kun, which would probably not be appreciated very much.

"Where are you from?" Indigo asked. It had to be fifty degrees outside, which wasn't cold, let alone super cold. These guys were piling on gloves and scarves, and all Indigo had was the hoodie he'd walked in wearing. Of course, when he'd left home it had been about twenty-six, so fifty felt downright warm.

"Florida," Mari said, standing and slinging his bag over his head. "I never even went out of the state." He paused in settling his bag, thinking. "Well, we went to New Orleans once, but it was the middle of summer." Which meant it had been just as hot as home, and maybe even more humid, which was saying a lot. Sure, sometimes it would get cold at home, but it wasn't like a constant thing like it apparently was here.

"How cold does it have to get to snow?" Castiel asked. His gloves didn't have a mitten cover like Mari's, so he was determined to keep his hands buried deep in his pockets. He'd read that it snowed, but the details escaped him. "It got down to twenty-five in Tampa a couple years ago." He'd heard there was snow in a couple places, but no one had actually seen it.

Indigo nearly laughed. "It's already snowed a couple times," he said, strapping his bag on. He stood and waited for the other two to get their stuff together. "It'll be a lot colder than this at Hogwarts." He hadn't checked the weather in Scotland, but he could do that on the train.

Mari's eyes widened and he paused a moment in pushing his chair under the table. "How long does the snow stay? I totally want to build a snowman, seriously. We'll steal a carrot from the dining hall and use my scarf." He had never seen snow, but he had seen pictures of it and of what all could be done with it. Excitement at his new place of residence built again as he rounded the table. He bounced slightly.

Castiel was torn between excitement at seeing more than a snow pile at the mall, and sudden worry about how he was supposed to survive if it got colder. He already had a coat, a scarf, and a hat, and he was still cold! Sure, it wasn't one of those dorky puffy things he saw in magazines sometimes, but he'd never even been in a store that sold them.
He gave a concerned look to his ever-optimistic Mari, then looked over at Indigo. "You don't even have a coat," he pointed out. He didn't have gloves or a hat or anything! He didn't understand how some people could live in places so cold.

"It's nice outside," Indigo said. It was cool and cloudy, but that was nothing to freak out about. But then, he wasn't from a state where you could wear shorts all year and be perfectly comfortable. "My coat's shrunk in my bag, if I need it for Hogwarts, I'll pull it out."
