Lyric. The name sounded so familiar like she heard it many times before. What was weirder was that it reminded her of Trent. "Do you want to learn? I'm sure there are many books that teach you how to do so." what he said spoke volumes. He could have just had them developed, but sometimes there were pictures meant for their own eyes.
The bus stopped to pick up a few people and Celyn raised her legs propping them on the seat in front of them. No one dared to sit near them and it was easier to talk to Jory that was. "I was just curious, who's Lyric? He sounds familiar." maybe she saw someone and he was called out with the name. Or maybe he was someone in her class. With Trent still in mind, she had heard a rumor about him being admitted in St. Mungo's with some drug problem; It seemed to explain a lot about how he acted.

Jory hadn't thought of getting a book, and besides, he wanted to practice before trying it on that particular roll. The last thing he wanted to do was mess up the pictures. She moved on, which he was glad for since that took away the feeling that he was going to blurt out just what was in those pictures. "He's a friend," he answered, leaving out just how close they had been. "He's in my year and house."

Well that certainly cleared things up. She would allow a tiny frown and then turn away to look out the window. "So where is your friend?" they said 'curiosity killed the cat,', but anyone could argue that 'knowledge brought it back'. Her question wasn't prying. She wasn't going to ask about Lyric, whoever he was. Celyn felt like it would be good to know a bit more about Jory since they were technically just acquaintances; she wouldn't mind if it turned into a friendship though. He was the more quiet type and she liked people like that.

"He's getting help for something," Jory said. He wasn't willing to tell her just yet what he was in for. The majority of people he had talked to about it already knew, so it wasn't much of a breach of privacy to say something about it. Celyn was different. "Hopefully he'll be back at school soon, though."

He's getting help for something This person was sounding more and more like Trent. "Hopefully he will," it was time to sound casual "What's your friend like? Someone I should meet and add to my tiny list of friends?" she masked the question with a tease. Looking up to the window, she raised a hand an rang the bell. They would be off next stop. "Almost there."
The Jarvey in her arms would attract attention if she held it the way she was holding it, but morally she felt like it was better this way. Keeping her arms lowered and more clumped downwards made it look like she was just carrying a wrapped up heavy object whereas when she as cradling it, it looked more bizarre. "Hope you don't mind walking a bit." it was a nice day to walk anyways. Celyn stood up, they were nearing their stop.

Jory shook his head, "No, it's okay. I don't mind." He stood along with Celyn, deciding to attempt to avoid telling her more about Lyric. He didn't want to think about him right now, it was weird to think about him right now, much less talk about him too much. "Besides, that means I get to look around some more."

He completely blew off her question. If it was going to be like that then she just wouldn't. He didn't want to talk about it and she figured why the hell should she ask on.
The bus was slowing down and she got up, grabbing him by the sleeve and tugging. "We're here!" she swung herself down the stairs ignoring the looks she was receiving and left the bus waiting for Jory to join her. The Jarvey held close to her chest like cradling a child.[/blockquote]

Jory didn't feel like it was a complete blow off, since the topic had changed. Kind of. Well, not really. Maybe he had blown it off. Either way, he wasn't paying attention anymore to thoughts of Lyric, instead his attention was fully on the tall buildings and all kinds of people going through the streets. "There was never anything like this where I grew up."

Celyn grinned, she needed to show him the muggle life. Perhaps take him to a mall, show him the things muggles did that wizards achieved with magic. Perhaps she could later take him to a music store or something. Introduce him to Ipods, TV's computers and a whole bunch of other stuff that was exclusive to the muggle world. "I grew up with a father who loved the muggle life to such an extent that he got a job as a muggle healer; they're called doctors." she didn't want him saying muggle healer out loud, that would sound strange to the muggles. Celyn moved towards their destination, winding through some back streets pointing places out to Jory like electronic stores and arcades. She never looked to see his reaction, assuming he was following. "This is an arcade. It's where you play video games which is kinda these entertainment gadgets that muggle teens use." it sounded so odd. Celyn didn't stop, she just moved on, entering a narrow street and stopping in front of the 'department store' Purge and Dowse, Ltd. Celyn waited until people were not there, Celyn stated their reason for being there. "Hurry, before someone comes." she turned to where she expected Jory to be.[/blockquote]

Jory didn't want to stop, he wanted to continue walking through London, he wanted to get to know the city better, but he didn't have much of a choice and took a few quick steps to catch up with Celyn. "I'm coming," he said, though he was obviously distracted by the people and things all around.

Celyn paused to watch Jory, she was about to call him again, but the way he was looking around made her smile. It was like a child seeing the world for the first time. Maybe when they were done she could show him around. "Hey Jory, how about when we're done I can give you a tour of... London." she didn't want to say muggle world, but saying London just sounded like she was a tour guide and he was a foreigner. In fact a few muggles gave them weird looks. "The countryside." she said rolling her eyes and shaking her head as some passed by.[/blockquote]

Jory's eyes brightened at that, then he smiled and nodded. "That sounds like fun." No, he didn't have any muggle money, but he didn't need to spend everything, anyway, especially not if he wanted to go get that piercing he hadn't yet had the chance to get. "Do you want to do it today or meet up some other time?" A lot had already happened today, and maybe a fresh start would be good?

Celyn grinned brightly. "Another day. I think after the excitement of today we could both use a little break. Now lets go." she pointed in the direction of the St. Mungo's entrance and waited once more till everyone was gone. She slipped in and went straight to the front the lady reading the Daily Prophet. Celyn turned back to see if Jory had made it in as well.

Jory nodded in agreement, then took one last look around before following Celyn. He'd never been in St. Mungo's, either, though that was probably more luck than his countryside, sheltered childhood, unlike London itself. He wasn't sure what was going to happen, so he kept close to Celyn.

Seeing that he made it through, she cleared her throat and the woman put down her copy of the daily prophet. Her eyes were narrowed from being distracted, but then recognized Celyn. 'What may I do for you dear?' Celyn paused, should she tell the truth, or make something up. "Well, I'm here to see my dad Healer Corvus. It's very urgent." the lady gave Celyn a long glance. 'I'm sorry dear, but he is very busy with a patient.' Celyn was being analyzed by this woman and she was doing well masking why she was really here. "Well, then can I at least go and leave him a message in his office?" the lady stared long and hard at Celyn before finally nodding her head. Smiling graciously, Celyn turned to Jory and silently told him to follow with a nod of her head. She walked down towards the elevators, but took a turn to a quiet corridor away from where the receptionist could see her.
