Jory nodded and followed silently, at least for a little bit. He wasn't quite sure what to think about the little excursion into Knockturn alley, but he had to admit, he hadn't thought about all the drama at school since they walked in. He supposed that made it a worthwhile trip. "I can't believe they just, like, charged at us," he said, glancing around. If someone came out and started chasing them again, it wouldn't surprise him in the slightest.

Celyn wanted to laugh, but she was afraid they would be heard. Feeling like they were near the exit she slowed her pace and put her wand away; the area they were in looked familiar she wouldn't need her wand anymore. "They're all messed up. I kinda feel bad for them. I can't say I understand their situations, but a lot of them are cast away from their families for being squibs, beaten badly as children or just abandoned." [/b] cradling the Jarvey in both arms; the sight of bright light and laughter filled her ears. She could see the exit! "Why else do you think this place is considered dangerous?"[/b] she added.[/blockquote]

Jory shook his head, unable to imagine feeling comfortable in that place. He glanced back, then at the animal in Celyn's arms. "So what are you going to do now?" he asked. He knew that she was going to bury it, that was what she said, but there wasn't exactly anywhere in Diagon Alley she could do something like that, at least not that he knew of.

Celyn shrugged, Diagon Alley didn't have access to a burial ground, and she couldn't just bury it randomly in London, muggles could out about it. Finally stepping out into Diagon Alley, she took a deep breath. The air here felt much more cleaner and it was easier to breath. "My dad works at St. Mungo's. They have burial grounds for patients who have no family to claim their bodies. I can ask if I can bury this little guy somewhere over there. Probably in his own little place." some people walked by, staring at Celyn cradling a covered object that looked morbidly close to the size of a child. She raised a brow at one girl who immediately continued on faster than before. "You're welcome to join me." he probably wouldn't be interested and not everyone was a fan of going to St. Mungo's, it was kind of depressing seeing some of the more mentally unstable patients.

If Lyric had been at St. Mungo's, Jory wasn't sure he would be willing to go, if only because he would have searched him out, which would have only led to further delay in actually getting to see him. As it was, he figured that he had already come this far with Celyn, so why shouldn't he see it through to the end? It wasn't like he had anything better to do, and she wasn't putting him down like most of the other people he met. He nodded, "I'll go."

Surprise was going to be her first reaction, but she smiled warmly instead. "Do you mind traveling by muggle transportation?" her dad probably wouldn't be able to pick them up, and Celyn hadn't mastered creating portkey's; it was pretty hard to perfect. Digging her hand in her robes, she found enough change that would get them in the bus and it was only a stop away. "It wont take long and St. Mungo's isn't that far anyways by bus." Celyn began walking to the exit of Diagon Alley.

Jory shook his head as he followed Celyn, "No, I guess not. Is it anything like the Knight Bus?" He had taken it once before, when he had come to London with Lyric on Lyric's birthday. It had been crazy that time, but the fact that they had ridden on the top probably didn't help much with the wildness factor. He hoped that Muggle busses weren't as bad.

Should she explain? Celyn just shrugged and made it sound more cryptic than it was. "You'll see." her voice went low, just as they had left Diagon Alley, she shed her cloak and tapped it with her wand, shrinking it in size then shoving it into her pocket. They had to blend in. "No wands, no cloaks and no mentioning of real magic. You can talk about card tricks though all you want. I'm sure you already knew all that though." [/b] or at least she assumed he would. Celyn didn't even wait for an answer before she tapped the wall and went through coming to the muggle world. Celyn knew Jory would follow, the last thing he wanted was to be lost in the muggle world, she came to stop wondering what his reaction to a bus would be.[/blockquote]

"Well, yeah," Jory said. He wasn't the smartest kid in the school, but he knew better than to talk about or use magic in front of muggles. He followed her, doing as she did with her cloak, though he had seen people dressed much more strangely than a simple black cloak before when he had gone to London with Lyric.

Celyn smile grew brighter. She was raised in the muggle world and being out in it again was great. Cars rushed by, people carrying heavy shopping bags and struggle with children who kept teasing their parents by running far ahead or staying too far behind. In the magical world, everyone would just cast a few charms to make their stuff lighter then apparate home with their kids. Even the air here seemed a bit different, she just wasn't sure what it was that was different.
The bus pulled up and she turned to Jory with an excited look, childish almost she clutched the Jarvey close to her. It had been a while since she had been on a bus and this experience made her want to jump up and scream. "Let's go." they were the only two at the stop and the bus only had a few people on it. Celyn paid for their ride and immediately moved to go upstairs.

Jory followed, looking around the bus as he did so. It was similar to the Knight Bus in structure, very vaguely, but it stopped there. This bus wasn't three floors high, and it wasn't filled with chairs and tables that slid around. The seats on this one seemed stationary. "This looks....safer," he commented as they started up the stairs.

Celyn chuckled quietly, he was so in for a surprise it was much safer on a muggle bus and a much smoother ride too. With all the magic in the world, Celyn still wondered why the Knight bus didn't magically have the beds and chairs kept stationary. "Muggles have better ideas sometimes." her voice was low for only him to hear. Celyn took a seat at the back near the window and patted the seat next to her. "You might want to sit down quickly." [/b] In that instant did the bus jolt forward.[/blockquote]

Jory stumbled into his seat, nearly falling over Celyn in the process. A low sorry escaped before he was pulled back to the first time he had come to London with Lyric. He leaned around to look out the window at the tall buildings and clothes that were even wilder now in the warmer weather than they had been last time. He wished he had a camera again. "You don't know how to develop film, do you?" he asked offhandedly.

Celyn hand immediately went to his shoulder; warning him earlier would have been better. "Sorry 'bout that." Celyn looked out the window during the ride face set in a pleasant smile and she cradled the Jarvey. His question made her turn and she was curious as to why he would ask. "Well, I know where to have it done whether it's magical or muggle film. Unless you've got a muggle digital camera then sorry I personally can't" did he know what digital was? Her voice was real low as she spoke and Celyn was positive that the few people who were sitting on the opposite end of the bus didn't hear her. "Why?" [/b] she was curious.[/blockquote]

"Because last term I came to London for the first time with Lyric, and he let me borrow his camera," Jory said. "He let me have the roll a few weeks ago but I have no clue how to develop it." Not that he would let someone else develop it, anyway, considering what all was on that roll, especially on the last little bit of it. It had been so much fun, but he wasn't about to let someone else see.
