Streetlights, People (Jory/Maverick/Verity)

[Verity Bromley]

Verity nodded. "Yeah, he does." She agreed. She decided not to mention that she was planning on making another trip back alone. With another sigh she shifted the subject. She wasn't sure what to make of Maverick other than he was good at what he did, but as soon as the gorgeous face flashed through her mind and trace of doubt vanished. "I wish my tattoo would just heal already." She said impatiently, even though it had only been a few minutes since it was finished. She wanted to show it off.

Jory nodded, he had been through the same thing with his. "It sucks waiting for it to heal up, but it's worth the wait. You don't have to keep it covered long, right?" He just hoped she didn't end up with spotty coloring after the thing finished healing completely. "Besides, at least you can eat whatever you want and not mess it up." He grinned, even if he wasn't looking forward to being unable to eat properly for a little while.

"No, I don't think so." Verity said. She couldn't bring herself to remember exactly what Maverick had told her to do. She had that stuff she was supposed to clean it with or something, but she would worry about the specifics later. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, anyways, she had just been too distracted by Maverick himself to actually listen to what he had said. She grinned as another thought crossed her mind. If she really couldn't remember what he had said maybe she would have to go back soon and ask him again. And maybe stay a little longer. She blinked away from those thoughts and forced herself to focus on Jory now. "Well, you can eat soft food, right? And something cold to keep it numb?" She thought about it for a minute. "Like tons of ice cream!"

[Jory Addison]

"Yep," Jory said, smiling and nodding. "I can have all the ice cream I want." He would probably be begging for it tomorrow to numb the pain that he knew would come. Lyric said that a lot of people gave up on the tongue piercing, but he refused to give up. If he gave up, then he couldn't finish his list, and he refused to not finish it, even if somethings might get changed, such as only one nipple piercing instead of the two he had originally thought of.

"Lucky." Verity teased. "At least you have an excuse to eat ice cream." She sighed, she had to be careful about how much ice cream she hate. Especially with all those cauldron cakes she's sampled. Speaking of which..."I should probably get back to the shop before it's too late and the whole place has burned down." She said managing a small smile, even though it was something she was actually constantly worried about. She had put too much into that place to let it go up in flames, literally.

"Aww, okay," Jory said, disappointed for all of a moment before he realized it was probably a good idea to head back to the school instead of staying here longer. He really didn't need to spend more money than he already had, and the sky was going to be putting on a show tonight, he wanted to be sure he was there to see it.

[Verity Bromley]

"How bout you? Got any plans for tonight?" Verity asked, wiggling her eyebrows and with a sly smile on her lips. "A hot date, perhaps?" She asked, nudging his arm lightly. He seemed to be doing okay with his piercing for now. Verity felt like going out and celebrating, but she had work to do and she wanted to make sure her tattoo healed before she hit up the clubs. Besides, she wanted Leo to be there and she hadn't seen him in ages. Not since that night at the Festival.

"I wish," Jory said, grinning. It would be nice, but he didn't know anyone, and he highly doubted he would meet anyone between now and the show he was going to watch. "I think the supply of gay guys at school has been used up. I'm going to be up in the Astronomy Tower tonight at sunset." Probably alone, and probably with music blaring.

Verity nodded. She wished she had a hot date, too. It had been a fun day and eventful day and she didn't want to end it at work. She wanted to go out and she hadn't seen Leo in forever. Though, she was probably lucky. At least she had the option of going out with Leo, even if it hadn't happened in a while. "Ohh! That sounds fun." Verity said. Actually, it sounded beautiful. Verity hadn't watched the sunset in ages, she was always too busy to notice it.
