"Okay," Jory said, deciding to let the subject drop. Not too long after, they arrived at the shop. "There it is!" He pointed and smiled, then quickened his steps to head toward the little shop muggles probably couldn't even see. There was no bell to announce someone was there, but the inside looked like a typical tattoo parlor, with art on the walls, large books with samples, and a display case of jewelry.

((OOC::I have permission to do this, yadda, yadda, there are pictures here and here because I'm too lazy to make a new signature or whatever and they're too big to go in the post itself.)) Maverick hadn't had much good to think of the kid that came in after his buddy got that tat a while back asking for a belly button piercing. The kid was weird, definitely queer, but he had promised he had a long list of piercings he wanted. And no matter how much Maverick got the willies thinking about him, he was going to do good work to bring in more customers. This time of the week was always slow for business, so he hadn't told the kid to make an appointment, just to come whenever. What he hadn't expected was for the guy to bring in a girl, a hot girl. His lips curved as he settled his arms on the counter to greet the two. "I was wonderin' when you'd come in," he said, eyes flickering to the kid before focusing on the girl. She was here, maybe she was legal.

Verity followed behind Jory until they got into the shop, then she stopped. Her eyes moved up and down the walls, studying the art on the walls. "Oh my god." She said quietly. Her jaw dropped slightly at how much there was to take in. She had never been to a tattoo parlor before, but it was mostly what she expected it to be. Still, she was practically giddy with excitement.
A voice interrupted her thoughts and she whipped her head around in surprise. She had forgotten that anyone else would probably have been in there besides the two of them, but of course there was. Someone had to be running the shop, after all, and she assumed it was the guy who had said something to Jory. She met his eyes with equal amusement. He was cute. No, teddy bears and ponies were cute, this guy was hot. A few other things came to mind, but Verity suppressed those thoughts with a playful grin and a simple, "Hey."

"It's great, right?" Jory asked Verity, not that it needed an answer. He came up to the counter and rested his hands together on it. "So, I know I said it'd probably be an eyebrow, but I changed my mind, if that's okay, to a tongue piercing." He didn't really think Maverick would mind, he had seemed more than excited at knowing Jory had a list of things he wanted before he even considered stopping.

"That's fine," Maverick said, eyes flickering to the kid for only a moment. "Now, who's your pretty friend here?" Oh he would love to do some work on her. His small smile widened at the thoughts that filtered through his mind, of this and that of things he had tried out with other girls. "Do I have a surprise double this time?"

Verity answered Jory with a nod. As Jory explained what he wanted, she pretended to be interested in a set of tattoo designs even though she already had a pretty good idea of what she wanted. She lifted her focus away from the tattoos. "I'm Verity." She was actually doing this. "And I'm getting a tattoo." She said after a moment. She raised both of her eyebrows as if to add something like If you think you can handle it.

Jory settled himself away from the two and turned his attention to the display case that held all the jewelry options. He was incredibly excited about this one, but not as many people would really see it. Did that mean he should get something not flashy? Or that he could go as wild as he wanted? There were so many choices! Did that one really vibrate?

"Oh, really?" Maverick said, eyes glinting mischievously. "Where are you thinking of getting it?" And what was she planning on getting, but that was an unnecessary detail. Well, for now, anyway. Of course the what was important, but he was most interested right now in where he would get to focus all his attention on her, without getting slapped in the process.

Verity didn't notice Jory slip away, her attention was on the pair of brown eyes in front of her. She pushed her brown curls out of her face and over her shoulder with her hand. "Hmmm." Verity said, her eyes narrowed in thought. "Low back." She decided as she pressed her lips into a playful grin. Her eyes trailed him over carefully. She had Leo, she was taken, but it wasn't like she was doing anything wrong. There wasn't anything wrong with having a little fun, right?

((OOC::have permission to skip...))
Maverick's eyes brightened a little at that news. "Those are sexy," he said, nodding appreciatively. A lot of people thought them tacky, but as long as they didn't go overboard, he loved them. "That and hip tats are about my favorite kind." To give and to look at, but details. He moved his eyes over Verity's face and hair, then settled on her...purple? eyes.

"Really?" Verity asked leaning over a little and shifting her weight to her right hip slightly. Her, yes, ¬purple, eyes gleamed with excitement. "Maybe I'll get my hips done next time." She swaying her hips a little for emphasis. She had no intention of just getting one tattoo. Then there were also other things she wanted. If she wasn't careful, she would end up with a list like Jory's. She rested her hands on her hips and moved her focus reluctantly from his gaze over to a different set of designs. She still had to decide on one. She didn’t want something everyone had. She wanted something different, something that was hers.

Maverick's eyes hovered on Verity's hips, uncaring that she was at least as young as his dungpile of a brother, meaning there had to be at least eight years' difference between him and her. He hoped it was only eight, because that would mean she was eighteen, but he had to be sure. "So, you look it, but I have to ask to save my own ass. Are you seventeen?" He wasn't about to deal with a pissed off daddy because he forgot to check his precious little princess' age before giving her a tattoo.

He lost her at ass. Verity instinctively dropped her eyes for a brief second before shooting her focus back up. Not that she could get a good look, but she guessed he had a nice ass. She forced herself to stop thinking about his ass, for now at least, and answered him with a nod and a little laugh. "Yeah, I'm seventeen." She said. It felt so weird when she said it, like being seventeen meant she was still a little kid. There wasn't anyone that would tell her she couldn't do this. She was a big girl now, she was on her own, she was free.

Maverick grinned at that knowledge, at all the ideas that suddenly didn't seem so bad anymore. "Good. I want to get onto you as quick as possible, but he's the one that owled in. So look around, if you have any questions I'll answer them, and once he's done we can have some one-on-one to figure out exactly what you want." Intent for something more than a simple tat hinted in his eyes, but he had to get the piercing done with before he could focus on this nice piece of barely-legal standing in front of him.

Verity had forgotten that Jory was even there. She was only vaguely aware of what had happened before they got to the shop. There was ice cream, apparating, Gringotts, and then of course the trip to the shop, but she had forgotten about all of that until he mentioned doing Jory first. "Right. Sounds...good..." She said absently. She took a step away from the counter and gave Jory an excited smile before she walked over to study some designs.
