The motions of Dare's hand didn't slow with Cassie's increasingly slow movements. He continued to absorb, continued to lay down one color after another, working them together, going over them, smudging and correcting as this line or that caught his eye. He could tell that part of her attention was still on him, but at this point, it didn't matter. He was enjoying himself thoroughly.

Cassie finally spun to a stop. Her eyes were sparkling with the passion she held for dancing and she her breathing was a little deeper, although the intense training did keep her in good shape. She walked over to Dare, brushing her fringe away from her eyes. "May I see?" she asked, a little shy.

Dare looked up from the drawing, and nodded. "Sure," he said, and set aside the colored pencils in his hand to angle the drawing toward her.

Cassie looked at it, her artist's eye absorbing the detail. She looked up at him after a while. "It's good" she said simply. "Really good" she smiled and went to sit down, pleased they had both got some satisfaction out of the afternoon. "Do you often find such willing subjects?" she asked, her eyes bright with laughter.

"Willing?" Dare repeated. His lips quirked. "Not unless they don't know, most of the time. Makes people nervous knowing they're being watched. Maybe they think they're being judged or something." He shrugged and looked back down at his drawing. "I know, I took some creative license with the clothes here, but I've been wanting to do some figure drawing, and I thought I'd see what I could do without losing the details."

Cassie nodded, "It's fine, you're the artist" she teased. Sipping from the glass of icy water that had just appeared upon her silent request. "I'm so used to being watched, sometimes I actually miss it." she admitted. "Does that make me self centred?" she asked with a grin.

Dare's lips curved. "As long as it benefits me, I won't say anything," he teased, eyes light with amusement. In his opinion, everyone was celf-centered, some more than others, but it was human nature. Besides, in truth, it was impossible to see things outside yourself, no matter how you tried.

Cassie laughed at his answer. "Then feel free to draw me as much as you want, if the urge takes you come and find me" she teased, as though being drawn by Dare made her self centerdness acceptable.

"I'll do that," Dare said, smiling. "Just watch out; you give me an open invitation like that, you're going to start feeling like, eyes watching you when you least expect it. I'm going to be like, your own personal stalker or something." Dare's eyes were laughing. He wouldn't go as far as stalking, but it was amusing to think of.

Cassie laughed. "Don't worry you wouldn't be the first" she teased. At college she had had some ardent admirers who wouldn't take no for an answer. "I don't really mind, I'm so used to when dancing, I probably won't even notice you" she said offhandedly, as though Dare wasn't worth noticing. But the glint in her eye gave her away that she was only teasing.

"Mmhm." Like she hadn't noticed him today? It was understandable; most people couldn't forget there was someone actively watching, that their movements were being recorded, and though the results had been an awesome drawing, Dare was interested in what would happen, what he might see, if she was completely oblivious of his presence. "Well, we'll just have to try it. I'll find you around somewhere...where do you hang out? I mean, besides here?"

Cassie thought for a moment. "I go to the club quite a lot, I own the candy shop in hogsmeade so I'm there several times a week. I love relaxing by the lake and I go jogging a few times a week before the castle is really awake. I have been known to be in the forest as well" she said with a grin, she could pretty much be found anywhere. And i'm usually dancing" she added. She ran a hand through her hair, pushing it out of her eyes.

"Wow, well, I guess I don't really need to look for you, do I?" he asked, the words light with teasing. "So you're like, the popular girl or something?" Another tease; Dare wasn't into labels. Still, it sounded like Cassie got around a lot.

Cassie shook her head, smiling. "I guess you don't" she murmured, sipping her water. "I don't go in for labels all that much" she said, though she did feel as if she was friends with everyone. "So who are you, the artisitc emo?" she asked with a grin. Spending so much time as a muggle had given her the slang that they all used to describe the different social groups.

Dare wrinkled his nose in distaste. "Touché," he said, arching a brow at Cassie. "Seriously though, labels are crap, aren't they?" Dare more than shied away from labels, he actively disliked them, really only used them in jest. Probably a side effect of having parents who rebelled against fitting the mold.
