Silver nodded, jumping on the opportunity. "I'll do that," he said. He didn't mention that he wasn't the clubbing type, that he couldn't dance, that he preferred disappearing into the background than trying to work himself into the crowd. It didn't really matter. It was another opportunity to see her, and she'd invited him. "When should I come?" Whenever she wanted was perfect.

"Not a Friday or Saturday," Dru said immediately, almost too fast. "We're really busy on Fridays and Saturdays," she amended. Not to mention that was when Chase was most likely to show up, she didn't want the two of them meeting, at least until she had figured out some stuff. "We wouldn't get to talk. Any other day's fine, though." She hoped that he didn't think too much on her first comment, she didn't want another awkward moment because of it.

"Okay," Silver said, pausing to think a moment. Offering to go tonight would be too soon. Wouldn't it? He didn't know, but he didn't want to seem too eager, and if she was that busy Friday and Saturday, could he really wait until Sunday? Was the club even open on Sunday? Would she think he wasn't interested if he said Monday? Or did he even want her to know he was interested at all?
He suddenly realized that tomorrow was Thursday. Not tonight, not Friday or Saturday. He released a breath he hadn't even realized he was holding as he brought his gaze back to Dru's. "Tomorrow?" he asked. "Would that work? I mean, if you're not too busy..."

"Yeah, that's great. Bring something for me to read," she said, grinning, "If anything we can go in the back." It'd be kind of hard for Dru to concentrate on reading it in the front, with the weird lighting and the loud music. She was already looking forward to it, she just hoped Chase didn't show up, she didn't know how he'd react to seeing her with someone, even if she was allowed.

Dru's grin was contagious, and Silver found himself smiling back, too excited at the prospect for any real nerves about sharing his work. He'd deal with that later, for now, he was just going to enjoy the moment and the anticipation. "I'll bring something," he promised. He'd look through the books in his trunk and find some of his better work, since there was so little in the one he had now.

"I'll be looking forward to it," Dru said, her eyes sparkling. Then she sighed and wrinkled her nose, "I should probably go, need to stop by the library before I go to the club." But she didn't get up, though she did pick up her book from the ground. She hadn't been back to the library since her meeting with Cassie, as though she were afraid she'd meet up with her again. Even so, Dru needed those books, and so she had to face it.

There was that cute wrinkle of her nose again. Silver was still smiling as he stood, catching up his notebook. "I'll see you Thursday, then...tomorrow...tomorrow night," he corrected himself, all of a sudden awkward again at the excitement and anticipation. He lifted a hand and took a step back, hesitant to turn and make her watch him walk away, though he quickly realized there wasn't really a choice, and he turned to leave. Still, as he headed off the way he'd begun, he couldn't help glancing back at her, his lips curved into a permanent half-grin.

Dru watched him leave, her teeth finding her lip again. When Silver looked back at her she couldn't resist smiling and meeting his eyes for just a second before she stood and walked back up to the castle, her mind in knots over what had happened. She glanced back over her shoulder once, to catch one last glimpse of him, and then smiled to herself and let herself enjoy the warm feeling spreading through her.
