Dru laughed at the question. "Well, yeah. It's whatever you're used to, isn't it? I'm sure it gets hotter where you're from than where I'm from, but I can't imagine being able to stand much warmer weather." The look on his face was priceless when she said the temperature. "You'll be alright, I figure. If not, you can just come down to the club and hang out."

Silver didn't look convinced, but he didn't argue. If it came with another open invitation, he'd just let it lie and look forward to the excuse. He wasn't even the club type, assuming there was a type, but he'd become the type, if that's where she spent most of her time.

It didn't occur to Dru that Silver may not be the type to go to a club, most of the people she knew went. She smiled at him, "You'll be fine, if you can't bring yourself to go outside there's always the common room." She stopped, realizing she didn't even know what house or year he was in. "What house are you, anyways?" Dru had a good idea, but she wanted to be sure they were in the same house.

Silver welcomed the change in subject. So far, his status as Ravenclaw hadn't been met with anything close to the reaction he'd expected. He'd thought it was instantly labeling himself geek, but now he wasn't quite sure. "Ravenclaw," he answered. "What about you?" She seemed smart, so that would be his first guess, but maybe it was wishful thinking on his part.

Dru was right, he was a Ravenclaw. "Me too, sixth year, we are definitely the best house." She grinned, her eyes sparkling in humor. In reality she didn't think any one house was better than the others. "Even if we seem to be outnumbered at times." A lot of the time it seemed like there were no Ravenclaws and that the school was completely overrun by Slytherins.

She was not only in his house, but his class as well. Silver felt a swell of ridiculous hope, and in the back of his mind, elaborate daydreams began playing out. He let them for now, too happy with the situation to try tempering them. "Who are we outnumbered by?" he asked. He'd never looked into the numbers of each House, so he really had no clue.

"The Slytherins, there's a ton of them. Or maybe it just seems that way." While Dru was friends with a couple of them, she was definitely not on friendly terms with even more. "Not that it's a big deal or anything." One of her favorite people was in the house, as well as a couple of her least favorite.

"They're the sneaky ones, aren't they?" he asked, the slight curve of his lips giving away that he was mostly kidding. "I'll have to watch out for them." He wasn't really worried, of course. There were people like that everywhere, and he'd met so many that were nice that he figured he was in a pretty good place.

Dru wrinkled her nose, "They're definitely the sneaky ones." She had had plenty of experience with the sneaky Slytherins. "The guys I know are alright, it's the girls that are horrible. Attitude and sneaking around your back." She said it like she wasn't bothered by them, but Savannah had made her angry plenty of times in the past, and Storm....she wouldn't even go there.

Silver hadn't met anyone yet that he'd consider sneaky, or describe at all as horrible, but it made sense; there were people like that everywhere. "I'll really watch out for them," he told Dru with a smile. When was the last time he'd smiled this much? He couldn't remember. And he couldn't stop himself thinking how much he liked Dru. Even the wrinkle of her nose was cute. He'd relaxed so much in her company that he wasn't even paying attention to the fact that he was watching her, wasn't second-guessing whether she'd think he was a creep for it.

Dru found herself watching his lips as he spoke and smiled. Silver seemed so much different than he had when he had first talked to her, she put it down to getting more used to her and comfortable. After a minute she realized she hadn't said anything, but also realized that he was watching her, as well. She grinned, "Take a picture, it'll last longer," she teased, even though the saying could be applied to her, too.

Silver's eyes widened momentarily, then his gaze darted off her to the grass. "I wasn't, I mean, I didn't mean to," he stammered, his heart thudding at being caught, at knowing what he was thinking when she caught him and wondering how much she could guess. He'd been so caught up in watching her, he had no idea she'd been watching him too.

"No, it's fine. Think about it, I only noticed because I was doing the same," she said, smiling, but looked away after she said it. Her fingers found a loose string and she messed with it, chewing her lip. "I like your smile," she admitted, glancing at him before grinning and looking back down at her hands. Fine, so she liked him in general, he was so different from Chase.

Silver couldn't stop himself from smiling at that. "Thanks," he said, looking back up at her, wondering so many things at once that it was hard to make sense of them. She was with that guy, wasn't she? No, he answered himself. But she couldn't like him like that, could she? All evidence pointed to the contrary. Maybe she could. And his heart wouldn't slow at the thought.
He started thinking crazy thoughts, about asking her out, but how was he supposed to do that? He'd just met her, wouldn't it be awkward? What about that guy she wasn't technically with? Where would he even take her? What would he say? He'd never asked a girl out, and he wouldn't have the first clue. So he just smiled, and kept wondering.

Dru could almost hear his thoughts, she knew that it had to be wrong to want to go out with Silver when they both knew she was waiting on Chase, but it would be even more wrong to stay away from him. "Come to the club sometime this week," we'll see what happens, she finished in her mind. She was fairly certain that something of her thoughts showed through her eyes when she looked up at him, but she didn't really care.
