Chase grinned too, but ignored the house-elf to take Dru at her word--or at least to pretend to take her at her word. He backed her against one of the tables, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "I'll give you three guesses what I want to do," he said.

"Hmmm," Dru said, thinking. "I know, you want to go and read a book full of action and adventure." Her eyes sparkled, the 'action and adventure' could mean nearly any kind of book, and she knew good and well that it was the last thing from his mind.

Chase brought his lips to the hollow of Dru's throat, leaving one painfully soft kiss there. "I like the action part," he murmured, "but keep guessing." She knew very well what he was getting at, but he expected her guesses to be entertaining.

A soft "mmm" came from Dru's mouth as she thought of her next question. Then her lips quirked up in a smile as she remembered something from their first meeting, "You want to take me up on my offer of a ride on my broom?" Well, another ride, if one chose to take it that way.

Chase let out a long chuckle, even as his body tightened. "You're getting closer," he said with a grin. "But it has nothing to do with your broom." Chase shifted his weight lightly against Dru, giving her a clue that he knew she didn't need.

Dru grinned and whispered in his ear, "What about playing another game of find the ribbon?" She never had gotten that hairbow back from him, Grey had interrupted, though at the time she was glad for it.

"You're not getting that ribbon back," Chase warned, his lips skating over her neck with the words. "I won that round. But if you want to try again..." Chase caught one of Dru's hands, drawing it up to the hem of his shirt, still untucked from earlier.

"Darn, and I really liked that one..." she said, turning his chin up with her other hand and kissing him. It hadn't really clicked how happy she was with him until just that moment, she had been happy in her life since he'd agreed to try it out, but now there was a different....edge to it that she hadn't expected.

Chase was fine with letting the conversation die, especially now that he knew he wouldn't be getting blocked at every opportunity. The leash was gone. Chase's blood raced as though he'd had no relief tonight, rather than the most action he'd had since coming to Hogwarts. He knew he ought to take it slow for Dru's sake, but he didn't want slow. He wanted the unexpected fire that Dru gave him.

Was she really going to let this happen again? She had never imagined, and yet she had done it, had allowed him to take her completely and thoroughly, as no one would ever be able to again. And would she let him do it again, so soon after the first? It didn't take Dru long to find the answer: yes, she would let him.

Chase kept his promise to Dru; this time, he paid more attention to her, actually tried to please her instead of blindly devouring her. Every response only made him want more, and he was left breathless at the end, unable to move away on his own power. "If I ever make it back to the dorm, I'm sleeping like a rock," he murmured, his lips curving into a grin.

"Mhm," Dru murmured softly, really the only thing she could bring herself to say. She had her eyes closed, laying back on the wood, trying to catch her breath. When she had recovered enough to speak, she said, "You definitely kept your promise," though the words were barely more than a whisper.

"And I'll keep it again if you'll let me," Chase said, his eyes smoky, hazy with the aftereffects of what they'd done. He couldn't hold back a yawn as he pushed to his feet, pulling Dru up with him. His body was finally realizing how tired he was, and that last wash of relaxation wasn't helping things much.

Dru smiled, "There's no if there," she said, and failed to hold back a yawn that was triggered by Chase's. She tilted her head up and kissed him lightly, looking into his eyes for a few moments before pulling away from him to pull on her clothes yet again.

Chase watched Dru for a moment, then turned to gather his own clothes. As he dressed, he glanced around the kitchen, where the house-elves were deliberately avoiding the table they stood beside. He couldn't help grinning with humor. "You think we need to order them not to say anything?"
