Ocean thought for a bit, she really hoped he was right. "How long distance can owls travel?" she asked. When her mother had set her sister up for adoption she had used muggle mail to tell her sister that she would try to send her as many letters as possible.

"I think that they travel everywhere," Hyacinth said, though he wasn't sure. "You are Muggle-Born also?" Indigo had been the only other person he'd met who was Muggle-Born was Indigo, and Indigo had left. "Do Americans use owls?" He'd thought they did, but no one was right all the time.

"I'm not Muggle-Born" said Ocean. "My parents didn't like animals, so if we wanted to say something, we visited" she said. "And yes, Americans do use owls" Ocean said. "I was just going to send a letter to America" she said. Ocean racked her brain, he might ask why she was sending a letter. Think Ocean think!

Hyacinth didn't ask. "I do not know," he said, "but the owl post would know. They have many owls to use." He didn't know if they cost money though, or really anything about them besides what he'd heard people say. He generally gave letters home to a mentor to check. The letters were sent to his old teacher, and his old teacher mailed them home. That was because of the Statute of Secrecy and his parents' inability to accept.

Ocean was thankful that he didn't ask. She decided to send an owl later. "Thank you, for your company" she said standing up. Ocean looked around and stretched. Exploring seemed like a good idea. She strapped her guitar over her back, and started walking back to the castle.
