"The Headmistress is Hells Dumbledore," Hyacinth said. His hand rose to touch a cross that hung around his neck. It was still uncomfortable saying her full name, but it was innocently said. "She is not often at the school, but I have heard that she is a very good witch. She is related to Albus Dumbledore!" Not that Dumbledore was a common name to begin with, but it seemed like a good idea to clarify.

"Woah, Albus Dumbledore" said Ocean. Her Great Aunt Penelope had bragged about meeting the great wizard once. Ocean always suspected that her Aunt had been bluffing. "I wonder why she leaves often" she said thinking out loud. "So Hyacinth, are all people here as polite as you are" Ocean asked smiling.

Hyacinth's cheeks grew rosy at what amounted to a compliment, and his pale blue hair deepened toward its natural mousy brown color. "There are many different people here," he told her. Some weren't so nice, but he wouldn't speak ill of them. No one knew for certain what another was going through.
"I do not know why the Headmistress is not here," he went on. "I think she is busy." Some said that she had mental breakdowns, but that didn't fit with the other things people said about how calm and knowing she was.

Oceans grin widened when she saw him starting to blush. Maybe she should tell him about her plans. "I was wondering, what's with the Forbidden Forest thing?" she asked. "I tried to ask someone in the halls, a first year I think, and they ran away" she said remembering the incident.

"Ah, the forest is forbidden!" Hyacinth teased. "That is its name. It is dangerous to go into the forest. Some students go in anyway, but I would not." Just the thought had him scooping up Remiel to cuddle. There was plenty happening at Hogwarts without purposefully looking for trouble.

Ocean watched Hyacinth pick up his cat. Ocean hadn't smiled this much since...well she hadn't smiled in a while. She looked toward the Forbidden Forest, she was determined to start living her life to the fullest. Her life had been so boring, but her parents weren't at Hogwarts, they couldn't stop her here. "So, are you into Quidditch?" she finally asked.

Hyacinth shook his head. "I am still learning Quidditch," he said. "I am from Muggles, I am still learning everything!" He had the basic idea that it involved riding brooms and lots of balls flying around, but didn't know much more. "Do you play Quidditch?" Most of the people who asked were players.

"My parents didn't want me to play quidditch, but whenever we visited my cousins, they had a whole cupboard full of brooms and we would play" said Ocean. The good old days. So, he was muggleborn, she didn't hold anything against muggles and muggleborns. But she couldn't exactly tell her parents to stop trash talking muggleborns. "I was thinking for trying out for the team, but I think I'm to late to join any clubs".

"It is summer," Hyacinth said. "You are early." The clubs might not have anything planned for summer, but term was only a few months away. "I do not know about clubs," he admitted. "I spend a lot of time studying." For the most part he didn't regret that, but he did miss sitting with Jory and Indigo, trying to follow slang-filled conversations.

"Why do you study all the time?" Ocean asked. "There seems to be so much else to do, I mean..." Ocean trailed off. She lost her train of thought. She played another chord, to try to think straight again. "Are you staying for the summer?" she said. She hoped that he would stay for the summer, she was sure she would be alone otherwise.

"I will be here one week," Hyacinth replied. "Then I go home. I miss my family. I did not go home last summer because I needed to learn magic better, but this time I think I can control it." His old school hadn't been a boarding school. He'd gone home every day after lessons, and this was a huge change.

"Oh, one week huh" she mumbled to herself. Ocean was upset, only one more week. She started playing a low, mournful tune on her guitar. Pick yourself up Ocean, she thought, don't get upset. "Isn't there supposed to be, some sort of Hogsmeade?" she said trying to pick a happier subject.

Hyacinth nodded. "It is the wizarding town the train stops in," he said. "On weekends students visit. Hogsmeade has a bookstore with internet, robe shop, owl post, a dance club and oh! It has a Quidditch shop!" She liked Quidditch, so she might be interested in that.

Ocean made a mental note, go to Hogsmeade as soon as possible. Hogsmeade sounded like the, perfect spot to go. Her mom had mentioned Hogsmeade once in passing, but she didn't know any more than that. "Do you know when people usually start showing up here in the fall?" she said. Ocean felt alone already.

"First September is the first day of school," Hyacinth said. He saw the look on her face and his brows drew slightly together. "There are other students here for summer," he assured her. There weren't as many, but someone as friendly as her wouldn't have trouble finding people to talk to. "You will make many friends here."
