Ayla was silent as they left the hospital wing and started wandering the corridors. She wasn't quite brave enough to be alone with the knowledge the potion had to wear off sooner or later. A mum, she was gonna be a mum. What if she couldn't model because of it? "I guess it looks like we're keeping it," she said finally after a bit of silently strolling the empty corridors, hand still in Silver's.

Silver looked aside at Ayla, grateful for the interruption to his circling thoughts. "I guess," he agreed. He wanted to say that if she didn't want it, he'd take it, but that seemed rude. We're keeping it. Was there a we, then? "I want to do something," he said. "I feel like I should do something." Biologically, his part was done, though. That really kind of sucked.

"Like what? I don't really feel different, I'm not craving weird food like pickles with peanut butter or something," Ayla said. Wasn't that a thing? She thought it was a thing, she'd heard people talking about pregnant relatives having weird cravings. "Is there a lot we need to do right now?" She fingered the papers she'd been given that were tucked away in a pocket.

"Um... I don't know," Silver said. "Maybe we should look at the stuff the Healer gave us." Almost everything she'd had was for Ayla. He'd gotten some duplicates when he'd asked.

Ayla reluctantly pulled her hand from Silver's, pulled out the pages, then unfolded them. "I still can't believe this is happening," she said as she tried to focus enough to at least skim the words. "I'm scared of the potion wearin' off." Maybe she should have asked for another in case she couldn't sleep later because her brain wouldn't stop talking.

"Do you want to go do something instead?" Silver asked. "I know some people like to be distracted. I usually just find out as much as I can, and that helps." She hadn't given them a whole lot to start with, but it was better than nothing.

"I think skateboarding would be amazing right now," Ayla said. "Could try teachin' you." She finally managed a smile up at Silver and she nudged him gently. As tall as he was, she would be a bit terrified seeing him at a park or something, not to mention that he had a lot further to fall if he messed up.

Silver had several thoughts in rapid succession before he managed an answer. Wasn't skateboarding dangerous? Wasn't the baby just a few cells at this point? Wasn't Ayla not being pregnant anymore not the worst thing in the world? Wasn't he a horrible person who didn't deserve to live for having a thought like that?
"You're like, good, aren't you?" Weren't most people who aspired to be something good at it? "I've just like, never seen you skate." He'd only ever heard it, really.

Ayla tucked the pages away again and linked her arm through his. "Yeah, I'm good, c'mon, I'll show you." It wasn't as good as having her own board, but the Room of Requirement could give her just about anything she wanted. "This totally isn't like the best ever clothes for skating, but I can handle it." And she'd get some of this energy out and maybe by the time the potion wore off she'd be able to be calm enough without it not to completely freak out.

Silver wasn't at all sure about attempting to skateboard, but at least he knew that Ayla was safe. And whatever child was, according to the Healer, growing inside her. It sounded like a parasite that way. Maybe he'd read all the brochures before even attempting to sleep tonight.
"So, uh, what are you supposed to wear skating?" Also, he probably shouldn't be noticing again how much he liked her pirate outfit, but he did.

"This is more like, constricting than I usually wear to skate, and the shoes are all messed up. People usually wear those big flat clunky shoes, but I usually go with boots," Ayla said. "People think I'm a bit mad for doin' it but it works for me." She led them around a corner to head to the Room of Requirement. Maybe they'd still be able to spend the night together.

As soon as Silver realized where they were headed, his heart rate picked up. He should really not be thinking things like the things he was thinking. Then again, why not? The consequences had already been doled out. She couldn't get pregnant again. Could she? Silver knew next to nothing about things like that. He hoped the brochures would explain.

"Do you still wanna spend the night together?" Ayla asked. As time went on she increasingly wanted to stay with him. Being alone in the dorm and listening to the other girls talk about who was the hottest or why their nails were chipping didn't appeal to her right now. Of course, it meant walking back to the dorm tomorrow still in her costume, but she didn't really care at this point.

"Yes," Silver admitted. There was no point denying it. There were a hundred reasons he didn't want to leave her. They'd just started, they'd had an amazing time, and of course the... pregnancy. It wasn't a baby yet, was it? And yet, he couldn't help feeling protective. He couldn't help an embarrassing little spark of pride that his masculinity was most definitely assured. "I'm sorry I'm not talking much," he said. "There's a lot to think about." She knew.

"Yeah, I get it," Ayla said. It wasn't a very long walk to the Room of Requirement and a short bit of pacing later they walked into a smallish park with various ramps and rails. The Room had even seen fit to give them a little selection of boards. "Hey," she said, pausing as the door shut behind them to turn and loop her arms around his neck. "I bet we'll be alright. Somehow." She probably never would have said so were it not for the potion.
