"I usually stay here," Ayla said. "Last time I went home for the whole summer was like...before third year or something." It had been a while and her aunt and uncle were happy to have time to themselves and move on with their lives. Not that they were bad parents, but it wasn't something they'd chosen. "I'd hoped to go to London some, do some more go-sees since I'll have the time." She sniffed and picked her head up finally, hoping her eyes weren't too red.

Silver pressed another kiss to Ayla's forehead, and one to her temple. "My dad's house doesn't feel like home," he said. "Maybe we can both just stick around until school starts." Silver only had one box he'd never unpacked, but he just couldn't seem to do it. He didn't want that house to be home. It would never be home.

"Yeah, I think it'd be cool to spend some time with you while we can," Ayla said. Before she blew up like a balloon. "We can do the dating stuff that's supposed to happen before the pregnancy scare." They were doing things all backwards, but then she wasn't really a traditional sort of girl, either, so maybe that was okay.

Silver gave an awkward chuckle at that. There was no denying that they'd messed up the order of things. Still, stranger things had happened, and did happen every day. Like the past five or so years of his life. "You won't barf or anything if I write you cheesy poetry, will you?" he asked, only half teasing.

Ayla laughed and shook her head. "Nah, but I have the right to laugh if it's super cheesy," she said. "I mean, if you start comparing me to like, what is it? Summer breezes and sh~, then yeah, you might get a bit of a laugh." She pressed a playful kiss to the tip of his nose. Romance had never been high on her to-do list.

Silver blushed, but chuckled all the same. "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" he teased. "Thou art more lovely and more temperate." Well, more lovely, but maybe not as temperate. Of course, her lack of temperance made her interesting. "It's a lot of words to say you're hot, but like... yeah..." It was true. He blushed again, and leaned close to kiss her lips rather than say anything else.

Ayla laughed lightly before their lips touched. Maybe the romance thing would grow on her, it was kind of cute, and he was cute when he blushed. She wondered if the room would change around them as they closed their eyes for the kiss, now that their need for a skate park was gone. She reached up to brush Silver's hair back. Oh, she really did like that hair.

It was so easy to let things happen, to just get lost in Ayla and forget the rest of the world. He couldn't have imagined any of their talk going better than it had, and relief poured into the mix of need for a connection, for simple desire and excitement. He didn't give much thought to the room until they lay together after and he realized it had changed. The bench they'd been on was his bed now, and he pulled the covers up around them for comfort.

Ayla pulled herself close to him under the blankets, enjoying the warmth and the feel of someone else against her. She curled her hand against his chest as she looked out across him and the room. "What if no one wants to sign me when they find out I'm gonna have a kid? Or if no one wants me after?" The only stories she'd ever heard about pregnancy and what it did to someone's body were bad ones.

"Then they're stupid," Silver said. "And you've still got skating." Silver wished he knew more about modeling so he could say more about that, but he knew very little other than that they appeared in magazines and catalogs. "I don't know why they wouldn't want you, though." He pushed her hair back a little to see what he could of her face. "You're beautiful, and most people don't have as much life in their eyes as you do."

Ayla shifted and picked her head up to look at Silver. "Were you born a good boyfriend, or is it all those poems and stuff you read and write?" She still worried, but it was hard to push it when Silver so easily shot down her complaints. It wasn't even really getting shot down, he just said the right thing. If he kept this up, she wouldn't have any issue staying with him.

Silver's face heated. "Uh, it's the reading," he said. If she was teasing he wasn't entirely sure, but she didn't look as worried as she'd sounded just moments before. "I don't know, a lot of the time I can't put words together without a quill in my hand. It's just easier with you." He hadn't figured out why yet, but it was true. He hadn't written a poem for her yet, but he'd said a lot of things to her that usually remained thought.

"I've never really been close to someone, 'specially not like this, it is easier to talk," Ayla said. She didn't just mean the whole sleeping together once and having a baby thing. "I'm kinda looking forward to having a boyfriend, a good one." One where it felt like there was actually something there besides make-out sessions by the quidditch pitch.
