Mari successfully dodged that time. "Ha! Missed me, missed me," he chanted, though he didn't finish out the old grade school era rhyme. He packed his next handful a little tighter and threw, certain that he had somehow finally managed to do it right. Mostly. Well, as good as a native Floridian who'd only been around snow for a couple weeks could manage.

Indigo felt it that time, and though surprise flashed across his face, it soon made way for a hidden smirk. His eyes glittered as he packed a larger snowball, ignoring the snow splattered against his shoulder. "Won't miss this time!" his muffled voice called. He aimed and threw.

Indigo was proven right as the ball hit Mari and he groaned in feigned pain. "You're so mean to me," he claimed. Another scoop of snow became a more well-packed ball, now that he had some idea of how it was supposed to be done, and he eyed Indigo. He stood for a moment, then threw, hoping his first actual maybe snowball would hit its mark.

Mari's snowball hit Indigo square in the chest, and Indigo gave a low oof at the feel of it. There went any guilt he might have felt at that declaration that he was mean. Indigo upped his attack now that it was a fair fight, and ran to use a tree as a shield. He forgot to talk, but his laughter was enough to make up for it.

Mari scooped up yet another handful and went to find his own place to hide, though the best he could do at the moment was the corner of a building. "You're totally not gonna win," he called. How did someone win a snowball fight, anyway? After a moment's thought, he bent down to make another snowball so he had two. He tipped his head out around the edge of the building, ready to throw one at the first sign of Indigo.

Indigo was waiting with a small stack of snowballs he'd made behind the tree. He couldn't think of the last time he'd had so much fun, and though he was covered in snow by the end, so was Mari. "I totally won," he teased. It was debatable. There probably hadn't been a winner at all.

"Yeah, yeah, well, if it makes you feel good to think so," Mari teased back, nudging Indigo gently with his elbow. Snow had gotten in his bag, too, which had been left unguarded at some point during the battle, but everything would dry quickly once it was laid out in the dorm. That was some of the best fun he'd had since his move.
