Indigo almost asked, but decided that maybe he didn't want to know. There had been Mari's Facebook picture with the cat whiskers drawn on, so maybe that was it. Somehow he doubted it, though. "You should still probably buy some," he said uncomfortably. He shouldn't be saying anything about any kind of underwear, even if they were good to have.

Mari's smile softened and he nodded, then sat the package aside. "Yeah, definitely," he said, then set himself to scanning the racks for things he both liked and that were in his price range. He tried really hard not to show he was eying prices. It wasn't that he was poor, but he disliked anything that made him feel like he wasn't quite up to par, and having to worry about prices was one of those things.

"I want to have something made for my girlfriend," Castiel said, when he'd gotten his trying-stuff-on out of the way. He stood at the counter while things got rung up and patted his pockets, finally coming up with a more appropriate photo of Cheyenne than the one he'd shown Indigo. It was from the same day as the other one, but her clothes were all in place, and he was in the frame with her.

"You don't know her measurements, do you?" Markise asked. "I'm guessing this is a surprise?" He set down the shirt he'd been folding and took the picture to look at it. Another goth. Well, she was almost as pretty as her boyfriend. Maybe he'd see what he could do.

"Yes, a surprise," Castiel said. That sounded a lot better than an awesome present so she won't dump me. "I know what size she wears. And her bra size." He took the picture back and looked down at it. "I want to get her one of those corset things that laces up the front with a ribbon. In Ravenclaw blue brocade with black lace."

Mari had an armful of clothes soon enough and, wanting to try things on before using his money, headed toward the dressing room. "Come on, you can tell me what looks good," he said, catching Indigo's hand for a moment. He couldn't help his tendency for touch, but he had been trying to keep it minimal. Now that Castiel was distracted with Markise, it was proving much more difficult to keep control over his hands.

Indigo was blushing again, and he glanced toward the front of the shop when Mari's hand touched his. He tried to think of some kind of argument, but none of them made it to his mouth. How was he supposed to decide what looked good? He didn't even really look at guys, not really. "You sure you wouldn't rather have like, Castiel help you?" he asked.

Mari glanced toward the front at Castiel, then shook his head. "Nah, he's talking to Markise. Besides, I like spending time with you." It was nice to be with Indigo outside of the confines of the castle. Though they'd only seen one another a handful of times, it felt like it was always under watchful eyes in closed off spaces.

"Oh." Indigo couldn't very well argue with that. He dumped off his coat on one of the chairs in the waiting room, then stood awkwardly. "I guess I'll like, wait here," he said. He stuffed his hands into his hoodie pockets.

Mari glanced toward the main part of the shop, but it was still too likely they could be seen, so he kept whatever further boyfriendy urges he had to himself. He slipped into a booth and changed out some stuff quickly before coming out. In long sleeves. Long sleeves that weren't thin and for decoration, they were warm. Okay, maybe they were a little for decoration, there was still cool designs on it. He struck a pose or two when he came back out. "This is so cool, they definitely don't even sell stuff like this back home."

Indigo smiled at Mari's dramatics, and at his perpetual excitement. "Looks good," he said. He glanced out the wide open space that was the door to the changing area, but the counter was just out of view. He looked back at Mari. "Try that one with the collar," he suggested.

Mari nodded and slipped away again. When he came back out he was in yet more clothes he liked. Well, he wouldn't have picked it out if he didn't like it. He went to the mirror and examined himself. "See? I knew you'd be a good choice to come with me," he said, flashing a grin over at Indigo. He thought he looked good in the top.

Indigo smiled and blushed, and his gaze flickered away. It wasn't long before it returned, though. There was nothing wrong with having suggested that shirt, right? He kind of liked it, and he'd wanted to see what it would look like. He kept his hands in his pockets and didn't let himself move, but glanced toward the open doorway again. "You're gonna look good in all of them," he said.

Mari felt heat spreading over his neck and he looked away, too, just for a moment. "Thank you," he said when he looked at Indigo again. "Can I keep showing you, though? I picked out underwear," he teased. Well, he probably wouldn't try on underwear, that somehow didn't sound like it would be a good idea. He took a few steps to Indigo, just to be close to him.

Indigo's heart rate picked up just at Mari drawing nearer, and the knowledge that they were more or less alone. The thought of underwear made him stupid, so he didn't say anything right away. Mari had to mean long underwear, and either way he shouldn't be thinking about it. "Um, you could show me... stuff," he managed. What would be the point in pretending he wasn't interested?
