It had been a long time since Ayla had been on a date. She was still somewhat shocked when she remembered how she'd acted with Silver, though she didn't really regret it. She kind of wished she'd kissed him. Well, there would always be another chance. When she'd come down to the Three Broomsticks, she'd found a table in the back to give them some kind of privacy.
Her hands were wrapped around a butterbeer and her legs, wrapped in light jeans with holes at the knees, were pulled up in the chair with her. A coat hung on the back of her chair. For once, she wasn't in an oversized shirt, her dark tank top fit her well. Every so often she glanced toward the door, hoping to see Silver.

Silver wasn't sure he'd ever been on a date before. The masquerade hadn't been one, and during his short relationship with Dru they'd mostly hung around school. He'd never even left Hogwarts with Willow. There was that thing through Cauldron, and maybe that was the closest he'd been.
He didn't want to think about any of that though, no matter that it distracted him from his nerves. He didn't even know why he was nervous. Ayla had been nothing but nice when they'd worked on their project. Maybe her English wasn't perfect, but that didn't fool him into thinking she wasn't seriously clever under all that hair and those easy smiles.
He'd dressed up just a little, and hoped he hadn't overdone it. Or underdone it, for that matter. He had pressed slacks and nice shoes, so there was no reason not to wear them, and he'd done slightly more with his hair than rake a comb through it. He had a button-down shirt, but he wasn't wearing a tie or anything. It's the Three Broomsticks, he'd reminded himself.
He stepped into the warmth of the building and dusted off a bit of snow that had gotten onto the shoulders of his cloak. He knew he wasn't late, but all the same, when his gaze found her, already curled up with a butterbeer, he felt late. He attempted a smile and headed toward her.

When Ayla saw Silver she grinned and waved, though she couldn't help but feel a little self conscious about her ripped jeans and faded shoes when she saw what he was wearing. "Look who's being all handsome," she teased when he was close enough to talk. A date with Silver Blackwood. She almost didn't believe it.

Silver blushed, and that blush came with a far more real smile than the one he'd just been wearing. "Thanks," he said. Part of him wanted to glance away nervously, to take some semblance of space, but he was too excited, and he kept his eyes on Ayla as he pulled a chair.
"You look nice," he said, and meant it. Ripped jeans and faded shoes were a fashion, and they hardly registered beyond the notice that she had some skin showing. He was far more drawn to her shirt, and far too polite to show it.

Ayla's grin softened at the compliment and she looked down, letting her hair swing around her face. "Thanks." With what she wanted to do as a job she needed to get used to that kind of thing, right? "D'you hang out in Hogsmeade a lot?" she asked, forcing herself to look up at him again. There were some people who seemed to always be in the town.

Silver's gaze flickered away from his almost intent perusal of Ayla, and he cleared his throat lightly. "Um, not really," he admitted. "I used to go to Diagon Alley, but my brother's at Hogwarts, so there's not a lot to do." For the moment, he forgot that he'd just admitted he didn't have a social life. He had friends... sort of. Like Brindle. Michael, though he was more like a brother.

"Diagon Alley's alright, I like Hogsmeade 'cause I can skate," Ayla said. "Usually hang out by myself." She didn't really care whether or not Silver had a social life or a large circle of friends. If he didn't, he wasn't much different than her. "I've been nipping over to London once in a while last couple months."

"Everyone goes to London," Silver said. He didn't specify whether he was annoyed because he wasn't going to London or because he wasn't into what everyone was doing, but the tone of his voice wasn't particularly impressed. "There's a club right down the street, they're missing out."
And he shouldn't have said that. It was not private information that he'd dated Dru, or that she owned the place. How in the world had that slipped his mind? He dropped his gaze. "Hogsmeade's not too bad," he said.

"Oh, I don't go to clubs in London," Ayla said. "Tryin' to get a job and there's not a lot of modeling gigs in Hogsmeade." It wasn't really a secret, she'd told Castiel, and Trent knew, she didn't see any reason not to tell Silver. She was kind of curious how Silver would react to the information, anyway, now that it was out.

Silver looked up from his hands, his gaze pausing on Ayla before skirting away. He blinked, then worked to look back at her, hoping he didn't look suspicious or lame or anything. "You do modeling?" he asked. How the heck had he gotten a date with a model? He really wished he could look at her better, but he wouldn't ogle, he knew better than that. Still... a model.

"Trying to," Ayla said, nodding. "I got pictures done with Trent here in Hogsmeade and I've got a portfolio started. No one's owled me back or anything yet, though." It was disheartening, but she had only just began looking. "It's a little harder with the tats, you know?" She grinned and gestured to the script on her chest.

Silver reflexively glanced down, but caught himself almost immediately and looked back up, which was also a mistake. He blushed and looked away, unable to make eye contact after having visibly... but she'd gestured... she was grinning, wasn't she? He nodded, as though he remembered what she'd said and agreed, then struggled to get his thoughts in order.

Ayla couldn't help but grin and look down at her bottle, hair swinging down around her face again. "Hopefully I'll get lucky soon," she said. "What do you wanna do when you're out?" He wrote, right? He was the brother that was always somewhere writing, and Dare drew, she thought. Maybe he'd end up being a teacher like his brother, he was in Ravenclaw, after all.

"I should probably know by now, but I don't," Silver said, grabbing the topic like a lifeline. He made eye contact with a waitress and gestured for her to come over when she had time. He needed a butterbeer, before he started twisting his fingers to get the nerves out.
"I should figure it out, I don't have a lot of time left in school." Not unless he got in some time warp that kept him in seventh year forever. That actually didn't sound too bad.

"Yeah. You managed to get Head Boy, the last one ended up headmaster, you could probably do about anything," Ayla said. As though he didn't know about Chase Firebrand. Wasn't there a book that talked about people that had started out as Head Boy at Hogwarts? Bah, why'd she even said that, anyway, he knew it was good to have Head Boy on his list of stuff he'd done.
