Indigo may have walked the whole just under two miles in a hoodie, but Castiel had his coat buttoned, hands jammed into his pocket, and uncomfortable goosebumps.
It was more walking at once than he was used to, for certain. He could swear that his palms and the back of his neck were sweating, but he was still cold, and not very happy either. He wished they'd called that bus and taken their chances.
He was quiet as they looked for the platform, though he perked up once the train was in sight. The magazine in his bag was whispering to him, and he started wondering who they'd meet, and how soon.

Mari was perfectly happy to tag along with Indigo as long as the guy would let them and followed closely. "This is so cool!" he said. "The only trains you see at home are super ugly freight trains." He glanced over at Castiel and, unable to restrain himself, took his friend's arm in excitement. He'd heard that the train was beautiful, but he hadn't really been able to envision it. Why did other countries have to be so much cooler than America?

Indigo didn't know if he could handle much more of this level of excitement. He was an introvert, and even during the holidays had spent a lot of time in his bedroom on the computer. There was music, but that was completely different from... this.
"I'm going to meet up with my friends," he said. Of course, Jory might be sitting with the Professors, and Brindle might be sitting with the prefects, but he could handle Hyacinth. Maybe. He liked the guy, but it was difficult keeping up with that accent.

"Would you get too annoyed if we followed you?" Mari asked. His tone was bright and he was rather excited at the prospect of hanging out more with Indigo, especially if it meant being introduced to a group of people. Still, he didn't want to annoy the guy too much and make him run screaming or something to get away from them.

Indigo was trying to think of a way to let them down gently when he caught sight of Hyacinth. He waved to get his attention, wondering how things had gone over the holidays. There had been a lot of stress about going home, he knew.

Hyacinth smiled at the sight of a familiar and well-liked face, and told his guardian goodbye. He was excited to be going back, to see the scarlet train and the people dressed in robes, holding caged owls or toads. Remiel had a proper cat carrier which was far too large for her, and was nestled into a clean towel and an old pillowcase which padded the bottom.
He eyed the two that Indigo was standing with somewhat warily. He wasn't entirely sure whether they were boys or girls, or one of each, and though he'd started to expect the unexpected, two weeks in the normalcy of home had made it all slightly odd again.

Castiel nudged Mari in the side, his eyes opening wider at the gorgeous boy coming toward them. Oh my god, so kawaii! he mouthed. Indigo was super cool, but this boy was easily as beautiful as Markise Sterling, and his eyes were almost as pretty as Christina Ricci's.

Mari nodded, smiling yet again. He had always smiled easily but the seemingly ever present excitement was making it nearly impossible not to smile. "Hi," he said brightly. "Your hair is really cool." He didn't think he had ever seen that particular shade and besides, he wanted to make friends if possible, and any guy with that kind of hair and who was friends with Indigo probably wasn't some stuck up person.

Hyacinth blushed at the compliment and murmured thank you, even as the color began to pale. It had matched the crimson of the train only moments before, but streaks of white were blossoming from root to tip. "Ah, I am too happy to control this," he said, reaching up to touch his hair. "I was good during holiday, but is too much exciting now!"

Indigo had missed Hyacinth more than he'd thought. Maybe he was hard to understand, but he was a good guy, one of the sweetest he'd ever met. "Hyacinth, this is Marius and Castiel," he said, introducing everyone. Maybe Marius was too much for him, but Hyacinth might like the guys.
"Hyacinth's a metamorphmagus," he explained. "He was having trouble controlling things last year." There was a really crazy story that went along with that, but it wasn't his place to tell.

Castiel gave a little gasp, and glanced aside at Marius before looking at Hyacinth's hair again. He squeezed Mari's arm a little, then closed his mouth tightly to keep from saying anything stupid. His brows were arched in interest, though. He'd never seen a metamorphmagus before, they were supposed to be really rare.

"That's awesome! I've never met one in real life," Mari said. Well, he'd never met one in any kind of life, but whatever. "Oh, and you can call me Mari, if you want, Marius sounds so serious." He pulled his eyes away from Hyacinth's changing hair to look at the pet carrier, wondering what hid inside. He assumed it was a cat, since owls and toads tended to not be kept in that kind of cage.

"We need to get on the train," Indigo interrupted. "We can find a compartment and talk there." Or they could talk and he could fill part of a notebook writing up his blogs. The platform was slowly clearing, but Marius had talked during a good portion of their half-hour walk, and he could probably keep it up until the train started moving.
He set himself up in the corner of an otherwise-empty compartment near the rear of the train, his back to the window. He pulled his feet up and set his bag down on the floor beside him, where he'd be able to reach everything and see everyone. He had a notebook and a ballpoint pen out before the others even made it in the door, but told himself he'd at least try to keep up.

"I met a morph-mage before holiday," Hyacinth said to Marius... Mary? He was more confused than ever about that. "She is the sister of Professor laSalle. She is in wizard music band... Phoenix Song, it is called." He had never heard of it before, and didn't know how to find the music to listen to. It was some kind of French rock. He sat down on the same side of the compartment as Indigo and set Remiel's carrier between them.

"You met Cherise?" Castiel asked, finally breaking his silence. He turned to Mari. "They're that French band with that hot chick with the eyes that change." He was still hoping they'd come out with music in English so he wouldn't be the only person who knew about them anymore, but so far he'd been disappointed.
