Mari grinned and glanced toward Castiel before he volunteered the answer. "We were all hanging out and some of the girls started talking about how it was hot when guys kissed. Castiel kind of liked her so we went for it. We had some fun and he got a girlfriend out of the deal," he said. Maybe they had kissed a few more times after that, but that was just for the fun of it.

Jory eyed the pair uncertainly at that admittance. He was far from innocent but turning gay into a kind of tool made him a tad uncomfortable. But he said nothing and after a few moments told himself they were young and that he had done some really stupid things in the past, that he had no right to judge. He did doubt that kissing another guy would get Brindle to immediately jump Indigo, though.

"We're bi," Castiel explained. "And Mari is my twin soul." He really liked the way that sounded, and he pressed a soft kiss to Mari's cheek to prove his point. "I didn't know it until then, but yeah, it was fun." He gestured for his picture back. He probably wasn't supposed to show that one off, but she'd never find out anyway.

Jory wasn't sure if that made the pair more interesting or stranger. Maybe it was both. What was a twin soul? And had he been like this when he was younger? Surely he hadn't, but thinking back on it, he had been pretty over the top. His eyebrows creased slightly and he wormed is way back further into the corner of his seat as he picked up his old habit of playing with the ring on his thumb.

"Really, though? You just... decided to kiss?" It sounded impossible that they hadn't liked guys, they'd kissed, and then they'd been bi. Or that they hadn't thought about it until some girls brought it up. Or maybe they had, but they were skipping that part of the story.
Indigo looked aside at Jory to see if Jory was buying it, but he just looked depressed. He didn't know what to make of any of this.

Castiel sighed. Marius was the more outgoing of them, but he was the more eloquent. He supposed it was his story to tell. He looked aside at Mari, then did his best.
"We were always close," he began. "So when the girls started calling us bishies, I wanted to know what they meant. And it means a beautiful boy. Mari is definitely beautiful." He gave his friend a soft smile before going on.
"I think it was Lindana that said guys weren't supposed to think other guys were beautiful, but I mean... look at him."

Mari grinned at his friend, then added to the story. "I've always liked guys. And girls. I mean I like, what's it called?" he glanced over at Castiel. "Androgyny, that's it. It's one of the reasons I like Japan." Or maybe he liked androgyny because he liked Japan, he couldn't be sure. "I've only kissed guys, though, so it wasn't a big deal at all for me."

It was an interesting friendship, to say the least. "So you guys kissed and she just fell into his arms, then?" he asked, before looking over at Indigo. "Well, are you willing to jump teams to get a girlfriend?" he teased. He still wasn't completely comfortable being confronted with some perverted form of his old self, but dwelling on it would do no good.

Indigo was wide-eyed, and more than a little unsettled. Had that worked? Was that normal? Was Jory making an offer? What the hell? He nearly lost the spring that made his pen worked trying to fumble it back together. "Really, though, did you just kiss him and then she kissed you, or what?"

"Oh, no, no, no, that happened later," Castiel said. "Mari and I made out for a while, and the girls just kept talking about it. I went to get something and she just came with me." He gave a sly little look. "I was like, So you really thought that was hot? and she was like, mhm, and then like, we made out." The details after that were a little fuzzy.
"It took a couple weeks. Marius and I kissed whenever because it was nice, and Cheyenne was hanging around more, and then we got together."

"I'm not going to ask Brindle if she thinks guys making out is hot," Indigo finally said. It didn't matter if it worked or not, he hadn't managed to ask her out, he wasn't going to ask her what turned her on. And he wasn't going to make out with anyone not even knowing if it would help. For all he knew, she wasn't into it and he'd scare her off.

Mari wondered if Indigo had ever considered kissing a guy. He doubted it, it definitely didn't seem like it, which was a shame, he thought the world would probably be a better place if everyone was just bi and did what they wanted with who they wanted. Maybe Indigo should give it a try. He kept his thoughts to himself and silently surveyed Indigo as they rolled around in his head. An uncharacteristically thoughtful expression spread over his face.

"We'll find out for you," Castiel said. He looked aside at Marius, then patted his arm to get his attention. "Won't we? We don't have to straight up ask, but we can find out, right?" If Indigo was all shy, and Jory didn't have anything to say at all, then it was up to them to do the right thing. "For science," he said.
