Matthew groaned. "Come on, I wish you'd move in." Then he sighed heavily. "But I'm not going to beg. I know better and all that." But he wanted to have Rhys with him every night, to just know he was there whenever he was needed. He had finally decided to grow up and make some decisions about his future and damn it he wanted Rhys with him.

"Good boy," Rhys teased, though he pulled away even as his eyes hooked on Matthew's. "I told you I'm thinking about it and maybe in the summer we can talk about it." They hadn't even been together a year yet and Rhys knew better than to rush things too much. Once they hit the one year mark he would feel infinitely more confident in moving in.

Matthew heaved an exaggerated sigh. Yes, he remembered. He could wait that long, it was only a few months before their anniversary, anyway, and they would be seeing each other so much more now that they would work together. He supposed it would be a good test. If they could stand working together, then surely they could live together. "Well, if you can stay away from me that long," he said.

"Oh just hush," Rhys said. He made his way behind the counter. "You went 20 years without me, you can go a few more months. Now, please, drop it, Matt." He didn't want it to turn into a fight, the day had been too good to ruin with something like that.

Matthew opened his mouth to speak, but after a second closed it and nodded. "I'm going to talk to someone about getting a bit of power into the apartment and fitting some things so you can work them." With Rhys spending so much time, it was necessary for lights to be workable with or without magic and other small things like that that were generally taken for granted. He also knew that Rhys would go crazy without his telly and computer when and if he finally moved in.

"Good," Rhys said. "I mean...there's a lot of things I can't do around here, you know?" He couldn't even get into Diagon Alley without someone there to tap the bricks. At least Matthew's old apartment had been wired. It had been easy enough to turn on the power so that Rhys could get around and do simple things like turn on lights.

"I know, that's why I want to try to get some workarounds. More and more people are related to muggles now, there has to be something, you know?" Matthew knew that even if Rhys wanted to move in it would be a serious length of adjustment for him. He grudgingly had to admit that it was likely better for Rhys to work in Diagon Alley for a time to get used to living around magic before moving in was considered.
