The Dog Days Are Over (Evan/Jory -corridor)

[Evan Rachel Woods]

Rubbing her eye, Evan smiled back with relief that she hadnt freaked Jory out completely. "Thanks again Jory I owe you one. Your quite good at this, are you going to go down this road for a living?" Evan said, calming down and getting back to normal. This has turned out to be some day she was having.

[Jory Addison]

"I don't know," Jory said, shrugging. "I don't have any seer blood in me, so I don't think I could, like, do that for a living. I don't really want to teach...I guess having a shop wouldn't be too bad." It could get boring, though, but what else was there to do? At least if he had a shop he could set his own hours and wouldn't have to worry about working for someone else.

"You must have something in you that allows you to do this. I mean you cant just read a book and know everything you must have some seer in you." Evan grinned, "And I think youd have a brilliant shop!" she thought from what she knew of Jory, he needed something good in his life such as a little shop and something he loved doing.

[Jory Addison]

Jory shrugged. "I guess," he said. He hadn't thought much about what he was going to do when he got out, he didn't think about his professional future very often, though he probably should. "What do you want to do when you graduate?" he asked.

[Evan Rachel Woods]

Evan grinned, "Something youd hate!" she laughed, "I want to have my own potions shop and maybe even be a professor." It was always in her mind to have a business, and what better business to have something you love doing. Or even a teacher to spread her passion for the subject. "But I need to get into the swing of things again before any of that actually happens." Evan said.

[Jory Addison]

Jory laughed and shook his head, "Nah, if you like potions then to potions." He couldn't say anything about what she wanted to do with her life. He absently shuffled through his cards, forgetting the open book in front of him for the moment.

Evan nodded, it was what she wanted to do in life. Well maybe its what her heart wanted, her head, well that wanted something totally different.. Putting her hands up to her head she tried to push those thoughts from her her mind. It was a pity you couldn't take those hated memories from your brain and remove them permanently... "Well, have you any plans for the rest of the day Jory?" Evan needed to draw her attention to something else.

[Jory Addison]

Jory shook his head, "Not really. I need to get ready for the trip, and I have prefect duty tonight, though." Other than that he was free, he didn't have any plans with Lyric or anything. Sometimes he felt incredibly busy, but when it was the same thing every day it felt boring, like there was nothing to do.

[Evan Rachel Woods]

"A trip, Ohh were too?" Evan said excitedly, she didnt want to go, it was more to get an idea of what the people around here do with their free time. She also had nothing to planned and thought she might do a little more exploring before it got any later.

[Jory Addison]

"The school trip," Jory said, "to Warlock Sands. It's supposed to be a lot of fun. There was one like it a few years ago, but that was, like, way before I switched schools." But at least he was getting to go, it was going to be fun, he had only ever gone to the beach a couple of times in his life, and very much looked forward to going.

[Evan Rachel Woods]

"Wow a beach? I havent been to one since I was a kid. I might take a little trip to these warlock sands". Evan giggled, "I Thats okay and all?" Evan didnt want to impose on the others, but it was a school trip and she was now part of the school so she did have a right to go. She loved the sand and the waves, but the sun was never kind to her really fair skin.

[Jory Addison]

"Of course it is, it's for all Hogwarts students and staff and stuff, anyone can go," Jory said. "I just hope they don't make us prefects work or something, that wouldn't be a fun vacation." He wouldn't mind watching every now and then, but he wanted most of it to be a vacation.

[Evan Rachel Woods]

"Thats true. They might just get you to look out for any problems and stuff nothing too difficult" Evan said, "hmm I think I will go. I will definally not be in the sun though. I turn out like a lobster" she joked. The sun was always cruel to her fair skin, no more than five minutes on a sunny day and she would be burnt to a crisp. "So when do we go? Im getting excited just thinking about it!" Evan was shaking with excitement, outfits and things to do flashed through her mind.

"Soon, once all the exams are in and everything," Jory said. "I'm so looking forward to it. Maybe we can meet up and hang out or something." He hadn't talked to Lyric, but it was hard to imagine him going and the two of them hanging out, and hadn't he heard something about Lyric going home for the summer?

"Ah well I havent been entered into any exams so I'm a free person!" Evan laughed. She was given the chance to do the tests but with not being in school for nearly 2 years she decided not to chance it. "Sure thing Jory," Evan smiled she was glad to have made a friend, "What exams have you got left?" she asked.
