"Um, I pulled for me," Jory said, looking up at Evan. "I always do that, it's kind of an addiction. This one," he pointed to the first one, "means journey. But it's reversed and that means be careful of personal relationships. The second one is the messenger, and the third one is blank, it basically means just big change...So according to my runes, I'm going to be having a huge change, and it might be painful." That worried him. There was always the chance they could be wrong, but his readings had been a little more accurate lately. He reached for his tarot cards and started shuffling them.

"Wow, that is weird." Evan was mind blowing at how three stones could tell so much about the person. "So then how does the cards work, I have rarely ever come across them?" this was going to be an interesting day Evan thought.

"Well, I'm drawing for me again," Jory said, sliding the book away to give himself room. He pulled up a chair to actually sit, and then spread the cards out in front of him. "I'm going to pull out six of them, and each one will tell me something different. I'm going to see if they tell me the same thing that the runes did." He chose six cards and laid them out, and his eyebrows came together again. He chewed on his tongue ring as he stared at them, before pointing to each in turn to explain.
"This is how I'm feeling now, which is pretty right. Says I'm satisfied and content, and this next one is what I want, which is true, too. Security, comfort...stuff like that. This one is my fears, like maybe my new boyfriend won't work out. And this one is what's going for me, but it's death, which is weird. It goes back to the runes and saying that a big change is coming up. What's going against me..." he paused and shook his head. "I don't like that, upheaval and disappointment...and the last one says pretty much to let it all happen, because it's for the best."

Evan was lost for words, Jory had just told her quite a lot about herself that she wouldnt have suspected, "So they can be pretty accurate? " Evan just didnt know what else to ask. This was new to her and was unsure about it as she didnt know what those cards could reveal to Jory about her.

"My draws have always been kind of accurate, but this feels different. Makes me worried. I mean...they could be talking about the school trip, that's a big change...but it's not a big life change, so I don't know. I mean, I'm kind of happy with my current relationship, I don't really want to lose him," Jory said, staring at the cards for a moment longer before shuffling them back into the deck.

Evan gave Jory a friendly smile, "Dont worry it maybe a good change, maybe for the best? You might be adding tattoos to your pierced skin." Evan joked, refering to the metal she could see on Jory. Evan liked piercing but she had no where near the amount Jory had. She had just got her mother in agreeing to let her get any. "So is there anything I have to do, like close my eyes or hold my hands out?"

Jory shook his head at the idea of tattoos, he already had one and didn't really want another one right now. "No," he said, shaking his head again at her question. "It depends on what kind of a reading you want. If you want a general one you don't really need to do anything special when you pick out the cards. If you want a reading on something specific, just think about the question or whatever while you grab the cards."

Evan thought that Jory didnt like ink because of reaction to the question, definally wouldnt like mines then Evan smirked. "No I dont mind what it tells me, I would like to see what it can do first before I really push its limits." Evan joked she wanted to see if this was a real art, she was still in two minds about it.

"Okay," Jory said, then shuffled the cards and spread them out in front of him. "Then pull six cards, I'll do the same reading on you as I did on me." When was the last time he had done a reading with someone else? He didn't get the chance to do that outside of class, which was a shame with how much he loved it.

Evan watched Jory spread the cards, "Okay Im ready." She had faith in Jory, and was also a little excited at what could happen.

Jory laid out her cards and stacked the rest up to the side. "You got some of the same ones I got," he said. He took a moment to examine the cards before telling her what they all meant. "So how you feel about yourself, says you're kind of in a battle, could be because of a change, like you coming here or something. If a work opportunity comes up, take it. The second one is death, what you want most, so so you're looking to change how your life is, or has been. So you know, going back to the last one, like a job or a new boyfriend or whatever.
"This third one is fears," he looked up at her and smiled. "You're afraid that maybe what you hope will happen won't actually happen. Don't worry about it and go for those changes. And this next one is what's in your favor, you'll be logical and you'll have good luck in business and love ventures. Now, what's going against you is that some of the things might not go exactly how you want them, but you know, sometimes that's for the best. You got the same outcome card as me, basically just trust that what's supposed to happen will happen, no matter if something bad has to come first."

Evan felt her eyes well up, thats what she needed to hear for someone to tell her that was just amazing. She never thought of the here and now as much as the present and realised she needs to look to the future to make the present worth it. The day with Mano popped into her head and the potions shop it was all starting to make sense, that all happened for a reason. "Thanks Jory" Evan said trying to control herself from breaking down in front of him. "That has really helped me." Evan started to laugh, "It is pretty accurate and there was me thinking it wasnt real." trying to stop the tear running down her face she quick wiped her eye, making sure not to smudge her eyeliner, it would be very messy if she did.

Jory smiled and put the cards back with the deck. "You're welcome, the cards can be surprising. It's always nice to make a believer out of someone." He absently shuffled the cards and averted his eyes from Evan. She obviously didn't want him to make a big deal out of her reaction. Still, he couldn't help asking, "Are you okay?" Sure, she was laughing, but that could mean any number of things.

Evan nearly went into convulsions with laughter and nervousness, "Yes! Im fine" she continued, "sorry I just react weirdly to different information." Evan took long deep breaths, in and out, finally calming down. "Sorry again Jory. Thank you so much though." With that she leaned across the table and gave Jory a hug, taking in his personal smell and then letting him go feeling slightly embarrassed.

"You're welcome," Jory said, grinning as he returned her hug. He couldn't remember ever getting a reaction like that, maybe he was getting better at reading the cards. "And don't worry, you don't have to be sorry for anything." He enjoyed being able to read the cards and read them right, to find out that they were telling the truth. He tried not to think about the possibility they were also telling the complete truth about him.
