Ryan walked into the room of requirement slowly. He was still in a little pain from the curse and he sat on the couch. He had sent an owl to Vannah telling her to me him there, hoping she would come. Ryan wiped the tear from his eye and waited for Vannah to show up.

Vannah had taken her time coming down. She hadn't known what to expect. She was going to try to visit Ryan in the Hospital Wing, but everytime she got down there he was either with Gabby or she chickened out. She took a deep breath and placed her hand on the doorknob of the Room of Requirement. Her eyes were a little bit puffy from the night before when she cried herself to sleep. She held the letter in her hand and turned the dorr knob and entered. The room was dark and Vannah walked forward with caution. "Hello?" She called barely above a whisper. She had no c lue who else, if anyone else, had been invited. Vannah stopped moving. "Ryan?" She called again and bit her lip afterwards.

Ryan closed his eyes and when he opened his eyes there was a lit fireplace beside him and he looked at Vannah "Come in." he said softly trying to decide if he should be nice or an ass.

Vannah saw the effects her curse had on him. She walked over to him and put her hand on his face. "I am so sorry." She said letting a tear run down her face. "I had no idea---" Vannah cut herself off. She thought maybe the whole reason she was there was for him to talk to her.

Ryan looked at her "I am not mad that the curse hit me. I dove in front of it and took the hit, however I am mad that you sent that spell at Gabby. I understand that there is alot of tension between you two and I know she for the most part started it, but I would have hoped that you would have enough respect for me to not do something like that."

Vannah looked down. She felt as if his eyes were piercing through her mind. Her stubbornness wanted to make her fight back, but she just stood there letting one tear slip down her face after another. She knew what she did was wrong, and the consequences were enormous, but that was how she dealt with things. It still didn't make it right, but that's whats he did. It is in her nature to fight back, whatever the cost. Vannah kept silent and allowed Ryan to continue.

Ryan wiped the tear from her cheek "I had two reasons for jumping in front of the spell. The obvious one was to save Gabby, but the other one was just as big as that. It was to hopefully keep you from doing something like that again. I hope that by the spell hitting me it makes you not want to risk that again at the very least."

Vannah nodded, even though it was a big promise to make. Her tears began to come faster. She let her forehead rest on his shoulder. "Please, forgive me." She asked pleading ly. Her words were muffled.

Ryan put his arm around her "I forgive you but if I hear of you doing anything to Gabby and she didnt do anything to provoke it I wont be as nice, and trust me I will hear about it if it happens."

Vannah lifted her head and wiped her tears. "Why--" She began to ask, but decided against it. The question would probably just end up in a fight. "Nevermind." She said after a short pause.

Vannah was apprehensive, but asked the question anyways. "Why are you working so hard to protect her?" She immediately regretted the question after it came out of her mouth. She wanted to add on more, but willed the temptation away.

Ryan could tell that she wanted to say more but didnt say anything about it "Because she is my girlfriend and I care about her alot. I will do the same things to protect her that I would do to protect all of my friends."

Vannah didn't respond. She wanted to force more questions, but decided to change subject. "When I went to Hells." She began to say. "She asked me if I wanted her to erase the memory of..." Vannah looked back up. "...the incident." She was quiet, hoping he would react.
