"Why would people hate you for it?" Mano asked. He couldn't understand why people would hate anyone for talking about sex. Well, except for Emilian, but he was a special circumstance. "I certainly wouldn't." He wasn't one to judge, he listened and tried to help.

"I don't know," Lyric snapped. "Ask Jory!" He stood up, jittery and emotionally worn. He wanted boring and predictable back, wanted to be surrounded by people who didn't actually want to talk to him. "I'm going back to school," he said, and pulled his book bag over his shoulder. "Thank you."

"Excuse me," Mano said. "Why bring Jory into this?" He hadn't mentioned anything about Jory and didn't see how he would have any impact on this. He didn't want Lyric to leave now, especially now that a nerve had apparently been struck. Now he needed to figure out what had caused the sudden snap.

"He knows," Lyric bit out. "I'm not saying it again, I'm going back to school where I can be alone!" Alone at school, where he had no privacy at all because of his damn check-ins, because he was always being watched by prefects and professors. He shook his head and strode toward the door.

"I take it that him finding out wasn't a good experience," Mano said. He had no idea what Lyric was so against telling him, but the fact that he was so adamant about not saying it again made him all the more curious about it. He didn't get the impression that Jory was the best person in the world to talk about serious things with, either.

"F~ you," Lyric replied, reaching for the door handle. He looked back over his shoulder to glare at Mano, but could hardly meet his eyes and shook his head before diverting his gaze. "There's nothing to find out," he lied. He opened the door and tuned out anything else Mano might have to say, pulling the door shut hard behind him. He was going to buy some damned eggs and take them to the jewellery shop.
