Mano stared at Lyric, dumbfounded, for a few long moments before he let out a short burst of laughter. "You're kidding!" He couldn't help but smile and shake his head. "I mean, I bet it hurts like hell but it's perfect." What better way to get back at Emilian? As far as he knew nothing like that had ever been done to him.

Lyric's lips curved slightly as he stole a shy glance aside at Mano, then looked off into the room. His smile faded. "He wouldn't shut up so I Langlocked his tongue, and when he tried to attack me I... took him somewhere and hexed him a little, stunned him and... broke it. He's probably still there." Unless someone had wandered by and taken him to St. Mungo's or something.

It was a few more seconds before his chuckles finally died down. "He probably is. Really I should probably go check on him really quick..." He debated for a moment, then shrugged. "How long has it been?" It wouldn't take long to pop over and check, Lyric could stay there while he went. As much as he thought Emilian deserved it he couldn't just leave him somewhere. He didn't intend on fixing him, though.

Lyric shrugged. "An hour? I don't know how long I was on the Knight Bus." He didn't really like the idea of Mano going to get him, and especially disliked knowing that Mano somehow knew Emilian, and that they were friendly. It creeped him out, but he didn't think it would help his case to stun Mano too.

"As much as the bastard deserves it, our families have ties and I can't just assume someone else got him," Mano said. "You can stay here, I wouldn't be gone more than half an hour. Don't worry, I wouldn't heal him or anything." He reached up and ran a hand through his hair, he wasn't exactly in any hurry to go get him.

Lyric glanced at Mano, then nodded. He wasn't so sure about the not healing bit once Mano actually saw the damage, but he wasn't about to say anything more. The guy could go find out himself, and Lyric would attempt to stay put.

Mano sighed heavily, "I'll be back soon." Once outside he sent a message to Eros, who he was sure would get just as much enjoyment out of this as he would, before apparating to Hogsmeade to find Emilian.

Mano went hereLyric nodded and sat with his head down as Mano left. He meant to stay put, but it was quiet and lonely, and before long he'd stood and was wandering the living room, picking up things he probably shouldn't have touched and inspecting them before putting them back. His nerves were stretching, and he considered leaving, considered going to London or going back to school. Mano was on his side, right? Or at least he had been, but that was before he went to go see for himself what had happened. He felt a little sick, terrified of getting in trouble, and terrified of leaving, terrified of staying, and of being alone. At last, he grabbed his bag and slipped out.

When Mano appeared in front of the door he saw Lyric apparently trying to leave. "You're not going to stay to hear what a great job you did?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Now that he was away from Emilian, there was a satisfied, amused gleam in his eyes. Maybe it had been stupid of him to think Lyric wouldn't leave.

Lyric winced at having been caught, and stood awkwardly, unsure what to say. Mano had to be being sarcastic; there was no way anyone would cheer someone on for having beaten up his friend, and Lyric wished he'd left sooner. If he noticed the gleam in Mano's eyes, it was easy to misinterpret. Was it malice? Was it directed at him? He shrugged in reply.

"Seriously!" Mano said. "I mean, you didn't tell me you drew on his face, that was a nice little surprise. And now he doesn't have a wand...again. Out of everything that's happened to him, this has to be the best, not that I was around to see the others." He wished he had, but at that time he probably wouldn't have felt Emilian deserved it as thoroughly as he did now.

Lyric blinked in surprise. "I thought he was like, your friend or something," he said, though the statement had a hint of question to it. "You're not going to tell anyone?" He couldn't imagine not getting in trouble for that!

Mano shook his head. Eros was a given and didn't care, it wasn't worth risking Lyric getting mad at him by mentioning Eros. "It's complicated, do you want to come back inside so I can explain?" he asked, gesturing toward the door. He had no qualms about giving Lyric a rundown, but he did not want to do it out where they could be overheard.

Lyric gave a longing look down the street before turning his gaze back toward Mano. He wanted to go back to school and Shadow and things he could predict, but yes, he was curious. He nodded lightly, then stepped back into the flat, since he hadn't gotten the door shut before Mano had showed up. He wasn't at all sure what to say, so he returned to the end of the couch he'd occupied before and sat down.

"Emilian and I have known each other for many years, practically since he was born," Mano said as he took his seat. "I'm probably the reason he's so interested in sex, he's like my...student, of sorts. Our families have always been friends. But once he moved to Hogwarts there were no checks. He moved to go after Michael Hardt, well, Blackwood-Hardt now. Once he got here he got into trouble.
"He raped a girl, nearly killed, and was nearly killed by, your current headmaster, deflowered a young German noble and was nearly killed by her father. He's treated nearly everyone like dirt, from what I've heard, and he isn't one to hide what he's done. Now he's abusing Jory. I refuse to stick up for him anymore." He looked over at Lyric once he finished talking. That was the story, though he would answer questions if Lyric had them.
