Tori smiled at Jory as he tried to help her out even if it was very little she still appreciated the effort.
"Well as I told you, the orphanage called me Tori Riddle so I don't know why they gave me the last name or the first name for that matter. The only thing I have that was left from my real parents is this," Tori held up a small pendant that she had put on a chain to make a necklace out of it. It had her first name Tori written on and it was in the shape of a crescent, kind of like the Hogwarts crescent. It had writings on the back of it that she doesn't know what they meant and had intended to look around but can't seem to find any books on what they meant.
"This was the only thing the orphanage found on me after my parents were "killed". Heck, I don't even know if they were killed." Tori continued.

"Can I see it?" Jory asked, reaching over to Tori. He couldn't imagine never knowing his parents, his family meant so much to him, maybe that was why he was even marginally interested in helping Tori. But then, he had helped before, hadn't he? Maybe that was his job or something. "Maybe there's some kind of spell or something."

"Maybe, I didn't know who to turn to about this. Heck I don't even know what kind of writing this is. Maybe if we find out what kind of writing this is to see if it's magical or not then maybe that can help us some more." Tori said as she handed over the necklace to him letting him look at it.
"Do you know of anyone who is good at researching these kind of things besides a regular library like the library here?" She asked him.
((How's that??))

Jory took it and turned it over in his hands to get a good look. He shook his head, "No, I have no idea. But I bet we could ask. We might be able to ask the history professor if he knows anything about this." He doubted Eros would know, but there was always the chance, however unlikely. It was worth a chance.
((Good))

Almost as if reading his mind, Tori replied, "It's definitely worth a shot to try thanks by the way. For all your help I've never really talked to anyone about my life and no matter how little you have helped me it feels good to talk to someone. So thanks again Jory." Tori smiled softly up at him giving him a hand to shake if he so pleased to do.

"You don't have to be all proper with me," Jory said, smiling as he took her hand anyway. He handed back the necklace. Then he reached up to run his hand through his hair, leaving bits of it sticking up at odd angles. "I guess I should make sure you're okay with me before you let me help you," he said, though he couldn't imagine she would have anything against it, even if she didn't know.

Tori looked at him with a questioning look and asked, "What do you mean, 'I should make sure your okay with me'?" She had no problem with him whatsoever so why would he think that there would be a problem?

"I'm gay," Jory said. It was so much easier to just out and say it now. It had stopped scaring him long before, and though he was marginally worried about people's response, he had decided that if they freaked out, they weren't worth his time, much less worrying about what they would do or say. "Some people have issue with it, so I figured it was right to tell you. Unless you already know, then that's awesome."

Tori laughed a little and smiled up at him and said, "Don't worry I definitely don't have problem with it in a sense I kinda new just because you were kind of awkward around me. I had a hunch but I didn't want to say anything. That's cool that you just blurt it out I know how nervous some people can get." She was in this dilemma herself at the orphanage she was experimenting with this one girl she had befriended and she was still confused about her feelings towards girls. She figured that she might be bi herself but didn't feel good enough to tell anyone or talk to anyone about it.
She was already scared when their "teacher" found out about it and they had to sit with her to have the talk.
"Yea I'm okay with it. Though I'll admit I did start to have a crush on you but it was definitely wearing off." She laughed a little and suddenly felt the awkwardness of the situation.

Jory grinned and moved into a little pose, "Well, I am insanely sexy, I know." He hadn't thought he was being awkward, but he had never been good at hiding it, either. "And if I were straight I'd, like, totally ask you out," he teased. He couldn't let himself hope that this was the start of a good, long friendship, not when practically everyone he got close to disappeared.

Tori laughed at him and smiled and said, "Well, I hope you would because if you didn't I may just have to hex you. Remember after all I am a Slytherin at heart."
After a few minutes she stopped laughing and said, "Jory thanks so much for being a good listener, even if you helped a little it still meant a lot to me. You are the first real friend I've here since I started. So thank you so much for being caring and kind to me. I'd of thought that my robes would have set you off and not want to talk to me."
Tori pointed to her Slytherin robes that she was currently wearing, ever since she started coming here she had a hard time making friends outside of her house so it was nice to get to know a new friend.
She looked down at her pendant and rubbed it gently she felt a shock go through her as she touched it and shook it off as nothing out of the norm. She had hoped that Jory didn't notice the shock or her shaking it off.

Jory shook his head, "No, there are some really nice Slytherins. I mean, being in Slytherin doesn't mean you're bad, it just means you're, like, ambitious and cunning. That's not all bad." He didn't really think that any of the houses were bad, anything could be considered that if it was taken to an extreme. "You okay?" he asked, tilting his head.

Tori finally looked up at him and said, "Hmm, oh yea I'm fine. Just had a slight shock go through me is all for some reason. Anyways, so thanks again so much for helping me out even though you didn't really help me." Tori chuckled at that and smiled up at him, she felt the shock again this time it was a little bit stronger and still choose to ignore it. She hadn't even touch the pendant when that happened that time.
She was getting kind of scared now because it seemed like it kept getting stronger and stronger she didn't know what to do. She couldn't very well tell Jory because she couldn't explain the feeling she was having. It scared her to no ends as it just got stronger and stronger. She felt herself getting dizzy and dizzier by the second and finally she felt herself fall backwards and fade into blackness.

Jory's eyes widened and he jumped up, nearly tripping his way over to Tori. He reached over and touched her, "Tori? Wake up." What was he supposed to do? He couldn't very well leave her, could he? But if she didn't wake up, he would have to go find someone, no matter what. Who would he go get? Who was closest?

In Tori's mind she saw a couple with a baby and heard her name being said she heard the man and couple talking.
"She's so beautiful Richard." The woman said.
"I know sweetheart, you did an amazing job." The man named Richard replied.
Tori saw a person come up to them that looked like a doctor and asked them, "What's her name?" While smiling up at them.
"Victoria Anne Addison." Richard replied.
Tori finally came too and had to blink a few times to get her vision right, she saw Jory crouching beside her.
