"A bath toy..." Chase repeated, his eyes darkening slightly. It seemed rather anticlimatic. He looked at Dru, trying to judge if she was telling the whole truth, and in the process, noticing that she was a bit closer than he recalled, and looking faintly amused. "What is it?" he asked.

"Nothing, I just like this side of you," Dru said, her smile broadening. "It's cute." She felt the color rise in her cheeks as she said it and she looked down for a moment to let it fade away. When she looked back up into his eyes, they had changed, she loved how they changed with his mood. Suddenly she realized she was beginning to like more of him than she had expected in the beginning.

Chase chuckled at her description of him. Cute. He put out an image of careless ego so strong that the Sorting Hat couldn't ignore it, but somehow, she'd gotten past it. How? he wondered. Chase's smile faded just a bit at the thought. He unconsciously sought to put up a wall between them, the protective facade that kept people from getting too close. His eyes shone scarlet as he looked at Druscilla, and without thought, his attention shifted to the curve of her lips. He leaned toward her, his hand lifting her chin slightly as he kissed her.

Dru was almost surprised by the kiss, but she closed her eyes and returned it softly. After a few moments she pulled back, "And here I was, thinking we could actually have a real conversation," she said softly with a half smile. She wondered how many girls he had met up with between their last meeting and their current one.

"We talked," Chase said, undeterred. "Now we can get back to business." Chase had closed himself off neatly, and not a single distracting thought managed to get past his current goal. Chase slipped his arms around Druscilla and initiated another kiss, fully intending to lure her away from whatever it was they had been talking about.

Dru turned her head, laying her hands on his arms, and grinned mischievously, turning her head slightly back towards him and looking at him through her lashes, "And what if I want to talk some more? What if I'm not in the mood for kissing?" she asked innocently. She didn't want to end up in another predicament like in the club, didn't want to get hurt, she had already begun to hear rumors about this guy.

Chase held back the urge to sigh with frustration and pasted on as polite a face as he could, though he didn't move away. "If you want to talk, then we'll talk," he said. It wouldn't do him any good to push her. She'd just walk away and he'd be out the best conversation at Hogwarts. Chase's jaw flexed with the thought, but he pushed it away. He could get a kiss anywhere, it could wait. "What do you want to talk about?" he asked, eyes still gleaming with his true thoughts.

Dru grinned, her eyes gleaming at his obvious frustration. She leaned against his arm to the back of the couch, thinking of something to say. "How did you get into the muggle obsession?" she asked, watching his face. Wanting to learn more about him, she began to formulate more questions for him, knowing she would more than likely get an answer from him.

Chase sighed this time, at the realization that he'd been neatly sidestepped. "It's not really an obsession," he argued lightly. No, she wouldn't want to know what his obsessions really were. Chase shrugged lightly and looked away from Druscilla. "Maybe I just..." he'd never really thought about it before. "My parents told me to leave the Muggle things to the Muggles, so when I found this Muggle book..." Chase shrugged. "I picked it up. They never even knew, but it still felt like a victory, you know?"

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Dru paused, "Going against the parents just to do it, but mine were always like 'do whatever you want, just tell us if you do anything bad' so there was nothing really to rebel against." Well, she thought, they probably wouldn't have approved of me dating a Death Eater. Sighing, she folded her hands in her lap and looked down at them.

There was a moment of tension before Chase's gaze slipped down to Druscilla's hands. One of his own slipped over them, his fingers seeking to thread through hers as he leaned close to whisper in her ear. "You don't have to tell them everything." He had a few thoughts in specific, some of which were quite unlikely to be happening any time soon.

Dru automatically turned her head towards him and clasped his hand. "You think I do? Besides, it's not 'them' anymore, they were stupid and my mom got killed," she said, her voice flat. She looked down again for a few moments before looking back at him and moving away from that subject. "So, if the love of muggle artifacts is rebellion, what about the seducing of unsuspecting girls?" A glint entered her eyes as she looked at him to show she had heard things about him, and what she hadn't heard she had assumed.

Chase's lips parted just a fraction with surprise before he closed them again, knowing that the sudden flare of crimson in his eyes would give him away. But then, he'd learned how to work around that years ago. He simply didn't lie. It was a matter of telling a version of the truth that would please everybody, or at least avoid offending them more than he wanted to. "Obviously they're not unsuspecting, are they?" he countered, a shadow of a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.

"They're unsuspecting in the sense they don't realize you're just going to leave them as soon as you're tired of them, am I right?" She asked the question, though she was sure she already knew the answer. "I mean," Dru brought her hand up to his jawline, "How would you feel, if some beautiful girl," she traced the bone up and down, "Lead you on, just to drop you just as you're getting emotionally involved?" She dropped her hand and leaned slightly away from him. The corner of her mouth twitched, almost grinning, as she looked into his eyes.

Chase's lips echoed the twitch of Dru's, though not in humor but annoyance. "I don't get involved," he said, pulling his hand free of hers. His eyes flashed, and his muscles tensed with the beginning of a strong desire to just walk away. Any time he'd ever gotten involved, his parents had uprooted and he'd had to start over. It was easier just to keep distant in the first place.
