Leo chuckled softly before turning toward the general direction of the Great Hall and gesturing for her to walk with him. "Come on then, it's just a few turns and a couple of stairways." It really wasn't that hard once it had been walked a few times. "What were you doing in a part of the castle you don't know, in the first place?"

Brindle blinked, actually having to think back now to remember anything that had happened before she'd flipped Leo. She turned to walk beside him, one hand rising without her permission to twirl at a lock of soft blonde hair. "I had a question about a potion, so I came down to ask Professor Sin instead of scouring the library." She blinked again, and blushed a little as she caught herself. "Professor Cynster," she corrected herself. "I'm sorry, I heard that somewhere and it just... fits, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I can see it," Leo agreed. If she took the class, she should know how to get back, shouldn't she? Apparently not. Oh well, it didn't matter, it had given him the chance to meet her. "So then you decided to just take a random corridor and see where it went?" he asked, the question a light tease.

Brindle gave a small smile as she looked aside at him. "I thought I knew a shortcut," she said. And it had turned out to be a dead end rather than the path through that she'd thought it was. Then she must have turned down the wrong corridor trying to find her way back. She might have wondered what the point was of building a dead-end corridor, but it wasn't any stranger than the trick steps and moving staircases.

"There are shortcuts down here," Leo said, nodding. "You just have to know where you're going." He took plenty of shortcuts, if only to stay away from first and second years that thought they were bigger than they really were. He would rather avoid them than willingly put himself in their way.

"I knew where I was going," Brindle said, tipping her narrow chin up. "I just didn't know how to get there." Her eyes sparkled lightly as she brought them forward again. Without Leo to look at, she caught her hand in her hair and dragged it down. She'd seen her brother do the same more than a few times and didn't want Leo to think she was hitting on him! To prevent another attack of hair-twirling she brought both hands behind her to link together as they walked. No part of her was conscious of the boost that gave her chest.

Leo glanced over at just the right time and got, to say the least, an eyeful. "Do you want me to show you a shortcut?" he asked, after clearing his throat and looking ahead. She was very different from Verity, a polar opposite even. It was more than enough to peak his interest. He glanced over again, and maybe his eyes hovered again.

"Would you?" Brindle asked, looking back at Leo with slightly widened eyes. "It'd be great to know one, even if I never got to use it." She smiled at the thought. She'd hate to miss lunch for being late, but wandering around the dungeons with a cute boy was definitely worth it. She could almost hear Markise agreeing.

Leo brought his eyes up to Brindle's amazingly blue ones and a smile pulled at his lips. "Okay, then, right up here, this brick..." He took another few steps and brought out his wand to tap a brick. "It's kind of like getting into Diagon Alley, just not as flashy." The wall would just slide away, just enough to slip through into a corridor wide enough for two to walk side by side.

Brindle nodded, oblivious of Leo's eyes having been anywhere less than appropriate. She was watching him again and forgot to keep her hands linked, so they moved forward, tucking lightly into the pockets of her gray camo pants. This was definitely worth getting lost for. "Can I try?" she asked, reaching for her wand. "Just once, then we can go."

Leo glanced over at her and grinned, "Of course, be my guest." He stepped away and gestured for her to have a go once the wall settled into place. He was glad he had come up on this girl, he had just been heading back to the dorm, but this was better than laying there playing solitaire or something.

Brindle nearly bounced with excitement as she stepped up in front of the wall, drawing her wand free. She grinned as she glanced over her shoulder at Leo, then gave the brick a purposeful tap, nearly thrown into raptures when it opened for her. He had no clue how hard she'd worked the last year and a half to bring her charms work from crap to somewhat acceptable. "I did it!" she exclaimed.

Leo laughed lightly at Brindle's excitement and nodded. "Yeah, you did. I'd ask if you were happy but I think it's fairly obvious." Of course, her doing it gave him a chance to give her a lookover, mentally comparing to Verity's fuller form. He wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for with the once over, but it couldn't hurt. As long as he didn't sneak up on her.

Brindle grinned back over her shoulder at Leo, waving her wand a little for the fun of it before she tucked it back in the wand pocket that ran the length of her right thigh. "My charms have gotten better," she explained, then left it at that, grinning again as she slipped through the hole she'd made and into a narrower, darker corridor.

Leo followed Brindle in, a hand finding its way to her lower back as he came up beside her. He let his hand drop once he was level with her. The wall closed behind them leaving them in near darkness. There was plenty of light to see by, though everything wasn't as clear as it would have been in full light.
