Ani walked down the Owlery stairs and into a warm corrider. She instantly felt better, felt her brain work faster. She would break this girl down. Whether it be now or in four or five years.
Something about Ani, she never forgot an enemy. Never forgot who she was taking down. And she knew how to dig around, how to call in favors and talk to her friends and send them out to gather her information. The best part about being a Hufflepuff was they're incredibly loyal. Ridculously loyal.

Lily walked out to the corridor feeling everyone's eyes on her. Instantly she felt the need to melt into a hole or hide. She chose to hide. Quickly she blanketed herself with her hair, a comfort. The only safe place in the world she had left. She didn't feel like a fifth year at this moment; she felt like she was little again and could climb into her mum's soft, gentle arms again. She set her book on the ground and quaked with fear. The hufflepuff's glare was fiercely intense; could hufflepuffs smell fear?
Lily now wished she would have paid attention in Charms. What was that spell again? Maybe with luck she'd remember and lift the hufflepuff off the ground leaving her totally defenseless. Now if only she could remember...
She put a hand to her flank and reached into her sash...but wait. There was no wand.

Ani noticed the girl shrink against the wall when she entered the corrider. Silly girl. Stupid Gryffindor. Another weakness Ani filed away for later use. This girl was shy.
Ani walked back towards the girl a small smile on her lips. Every one knew Ani was a force to be reckoned with. And everyone respected her. They were her friends too and her confidants. And she'd protect them as they would her. Ravenclaws and Slytherins and Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. She wasn't a goddess or even that great. She was quick to temper and slow to forgive and had a huge habit of using complete logic. But she was a favorite amoung the sxith and fifth years.
"Come on dear." She said to the girl. "Come this way. Thats right don't be shy." A warning. Ani knew about the girl's weakness. "Come on. I'll help with your Care of Magical Creatures homework."
Ani waited for the girl to come by her side and walk with her.

Somehow, Lily knew this was a trap. And she wasn't that dumb either. There was no way someone could be trash talking her one minute and being sweet to her the next. She knew too well where this was going...
Lines of sixth years from different houses started to form around the two of them, obviously this was the highlight of their day, but she wasn't going to please them or the hufflepuff. She didn't please anyone.
What she needed to do was stall so this girl didn't know she didn't have her wand handy. Why did she have to be a muggle? Why couldn't she be as grand as Dumbledore or some other great wizard? Why couldn't see just be normal and sew scarves like her mum?
The hufflepuff began to look impatient; so did the crowd. Should she do what the hufflepuff said? Or risk more trouble then she already had?

Ani could feel the girl resisting. She was smarter then a lot of people Ani had dealt with. But the girl was going to come with Ani. Nice way or hard way. She was getting impatient.
The girl was struggling with the desision. Ani let her stew a few more minutes then she walked slowly so as not to startle the girl towards her. "Come on hun. I know you're nervous. But ask anyone. I'm a very good tutor."
Ani wrapped her arm around the girl and started to pull her gently along. She noticed the people around her and smiled. "All of you should get to class. Don't want to be late." She let out a tinkling laugh and lead the girl down a deserted corrider.

Lily's dad had always warned her about people's auras. And now that the hufflepuff's arms were wrapped around Lily like a baby's blanket she could feel the girl's aura; ice cold and scheming. And it was suffocating her. She didn't ask for the girl's help in the first place; didn't want to fight. Wait, she was being pulled away and no physical contact left her ruptured. What was going on? Maybe the girl didn't want to fight either.
As soon as the girl would bark an order, people fled in every which way, scrambling like the chickens Lily's grandmother had on her farm. Except these chickens had their heads cut off. Just clueless followers. But Lily was smarter than that.
"Why are you doing this? Why must you torture me?" The girl gave another tinkling laugh. "Oh hun, i am far from torturing you. And this is only the beginning. Trust me."

OOC: Silly girl. ^.^ You can't make Ani say anything. Thats me. So Ani never said, "Oh hun. I am far from torturing you. And this is only the beginning. Trust me." Ani's going to reply to Lily's comment about torture but she isn't going to say that.
IC:Ani dropped her arm from around the girl as soon as they entered the deserted corrider. She had a thing about personal space and it was a huge discomfort to her.
The girl had made some comment about Ani torturing her. She rolled her eyes and leaned against the girl studying her. Her arms were crossed and her face slightly bored.
The girl was smart. Or smarter then most other people. And she could keep quiet. There had been a couple of girls who'd told someone about Ani's retaliation. They'd told anyone who'd listened but they never got Ani to stop. The girl also seemed to be braver. Other people had cried when Ani advanced on them or struggled when she tried to get them alone. Eventually Ani could but they always put up a fight. Perhaps this girl would be a better friend then someone Ani would have to punish. Yes that would be better. Besides Ani didn't like hurting people but she wasn't about to let them walk all over her.
"Torture you?" Ani sighed exasperated. "Nothing I'm doing is torture. It's punishment. You can't talk to me like that and expect to get off. I'm not some one who lets other people tramp all over her. Espically," Ani looked the girl up and down. "younger people. "
She pushed off the wall and stood in front of the girl. Not too close so as not to be intimadating but close enough to prove that she was in charge of the situation. She had a dominate nature. People knew that and respected it.
"So. I think I'm even." She nodded her head, squinting her eyes a little. "Yeah I'm good. You're free to leave. But I do have a propostition for you."

OOC: oops IC: Lily didn't know why this girl was treating her like this; she didn't mean to offend her but her natural instincts took over and she just said what was on her mind, putting up a barrier so the girl couldn't dig deep and make her cry like her little brother did when he fell off his bike. She then thought of her brother and what he would do in a situation like this. He wouldn't fight, he'd simply make peace with whoever had started a fight. This was going to have to be solved. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest and waited. "Okay, what's your proposition?"

Ano flashed a bright warm smile at the girl. It was working, her plan. BUt this was the most delicate thing to decide. She wasn't sure what drove the girl. What made her stick it out here at Hogwarts? Love of magic maybe?
Ani cocked her head. She scrunched her face in thought and twiddled her fingers. It was an expression most people recognized as her thinking face and she'd better not be disturbed. Finally, Ani came up with the answer. Absolute honesty would be best with her.
"I'm Ani Kiadori. I'm a sixth year Hufflepuff with no mother. The Hat seriously considered putting me in Slytherin." Ani paused letting the information sink in. "And I want your help. You seem smarter then the rest, braver then a lot of people. So here's the deal."

Lily listened to the girl, Ani introduce herself. A sixth year hmm? Then why did she treat Lily like a child? And she had no mother, which was sad. Well Lily would gladly trade her mother for no mother any given day. And if the sorting hat didn't put Ani into Slytherin why Hufflepuff? Ani definitely had an attitude of a Slytherin, the expressions of a Slytherin, even the mind of a Slytherin. Lily was so confused at that moment.
She held out her hand, whether Ani was going to shake it or not. "I'm Lily. Lily RainFire." She cringed. Dumb last name. "I'm only a fifth year, and I don't know why i'm in Gryffindor. I'd be glad to help you. What is your deal?"

Ani shook the Lily's hand. Her hand was soft and warm which said that Lily wasn't used to very vigorous work like a sport or a hands on job. But sometimes hands lied. Ani had to account for that.
She watched as Lily cringed at her last name. Another weakness. Ani was positive this girl needed a healthy dose of confidence.
"I'm only a fifth year and I don't know why I'm in Gryffindor. I'd be glad to help you. What's your deal?"
Ani was liking this Liliy more and more. She thought about how best to state her case. She wanted Lily's support. Honesty might not be the best way but it was the only way. Ani would have to work on cover story the next time this situation arose.
"I like you, Lily RainFir.' She smilied at Lily. "Which is something you ought to be greatful for elsewise the 'torture' wouldn't have stopped." Ani wasn't lying. She always got even. "And I need to come talk to someone with me. Just a little friend of mine."

Lily shook hands with Ani, she tried to act confident but she knew it was just too hard to wear that mask for too too long. Her palms suddenly became warm and sweaty as Ani's palms were cold and tingly to the touch. Lily clutched her book to her chest. Oh how she wished she was in the Common Room reading a book and talking to the portraits.
It was nice though, that Ani "liked" her. She didn't know whether it was a lie or not. Or whether she should follow her to talk to Ani's friend or not. She decided it wouldn't hurt, and if it was going to get messy Lily would leave...if Ani would let her.
She sighed, she had no other choice at this point. "Okay, let's go."

Ani grinned. She could see Lily was resigned to the fact that Ani was in control. Ani liked that. But if she really wanted to be Lily's friend she'd have to let Lily know that Ani didn't want to run her life. And the best way to do that was giving Lily a way out.
"You know," Ani said looking at her fingers trying to appear disintersted. "You don't have to do this if you don't want. I can get someone else." She shrugged her shoulders. "They wouldn't be as good as you. But..."

Lily paused, confused. She didn't understand, did Ani want to be her friend, or not? But, she was up to a challenge if anything.
"No. No. I want to meet your friend." She turned to head. "Let's go."

"Good good." Ani grinned again. She only had one type of grin so she only used it when she meant it. It was the warm happy I'm your buddy grin.
Quickly Ani pulled out her wand and whispered the charm that would project the time on the wall. Class was nearly over. Ani knew that somebody had covered for her. Just like she would have.
Chris would be down by the kitchens. He didn't like it when she talked to him but lately she'd heard he was being bullied. Some Slytherin's had called him the Natzi's little fun bean. And she needed to make sure he was okay. And who did so she could beat the crap out of them.
She gestured to Lily. "Come on. Class is almost over but I can talk to the professor. They'll understand. He's down by the dungeons."
