A New Outlook (Astronomy Tower)

Jamie bit his lip. "I don't want to." He said. It took an incredibly amount of control just to pull away and he was proud of himself for being able to do it, but did he really do it to make sure Jory was okay with it? He wanted to say No and keep going, but he was afraid that it would end up being too rushed like last time. They had gotten to talk, which was nice, but there was still so much more for them to talk about and get to know.

Jory's eyes fell down to his hand as his fingers played lightly against Jamie's neck. This wasn't so much what they wanted to do as what they should do. "Well," he said. "How about we just do this, kiss and touch and have fun...and we'll see what we want next time?" His eyes slipped back up to Jamie's. They could make out and enjoy being together, and work into other things if they felt like it was time.

Jamie's hand stroked Jory's cheek lightly. "I like being with you." He said grinning. It was an understatement. He loved this, being with Jory, even if it didn't go any farther than making out and talking for now. Jamie had gotten past the fear of being with Jory and was now more scared of screwing it all up.

"I like being with you, too," Jory said, tilting his head into that light touch from Jamie's hand. He closed his eyes and let himself enjoy the simple touch, feeling his body cool from their stop. Just don't hurt me. Did he say that? He didn't think he did, he didn't want to say that, didn't want Jamie to think he expected him to do something to hurt him, no matter how afraid he was of being hurt.

Jamie thought he heard something, but it could've just been the wind or the rustling of the leaves somewhere below them. "Hmm?" He murmured anyways in case he did acvtually hear anything. He kept his hand still, feeling the weight of the side of Jory's face in his hand. A shiver went through him, a sudden contrast to the heat from a few moments ago and it raised goosebumps on his skin.

Jory opened his eyes and shook his head. He picked his hands up and ran them back through Jamie's hair before giving a smile. When he spoke, it was light hearted, though he didn't meet Jamie's eyes, he didn't want him to see the vulnerability or fear. "Just don't hurt me," he said, watching Jamie's hair move out from beneath his fingers. "Then I won't have to hurt you." The last was said with a smile, though it had only been added to take away from the seriousness of the first of his comment.

Jamie reached up and brushed a stray hair from Jory's face. "I won't." He promised, raising an eyebrow to the last comment. It was a fair request and Jamie wouldn't want to hurt Jory, or ever have to face his wrath. It's always the small ones you have to watch out for, but nonetheless Jamie smiled and laughed a little.

Jory wasn't exactly sure what was making Jamie laugh, but he didn't want to bring attention to his insecurities. Instead, he smiled and let his eyes meet Jamie's. "I like your laugh," he said, only to bite his lip and look away again. Wow, he really was cheesy. I like your smile, I like your laugh, I like being with you. It was almost pathetic, really.

Jamie grinned and but his lip. "Thanks." He said sheepishly. He thought his laugh was too loud and booming, no matter how hard he tried to keep it down. He laughed at the little things, but when he laughed everyone could hear it. It was embarrassing at times. His hand slid down Jory's arm and rested on his fingers. He toyed with his fingers, lacing his fingers with Jory's.

Jory let his hand settle with Jamie's, loving the closeness between them. Should they even feel this close when they'd only met what...three times? He didn't know, he felt like he had known Jamie for much longer already, even if they still knew little about each other. There would be plenty of time to learn. He took a brief kiss. "We have to figure out where we can meet." Somewhere that Jamie didn't have to worry about people finding out.

The Astronomy Tower seemed to have worked well, but there were classes in there during the day. The Lake also worked well, but it was at night when they could hardly actually see each other. Anyone could walk into an empty classroom. "There's always the Room of Requirement." It could be anywhere they wanted it to be. "Or maybe somewhere in Hogsmeade." Diagon Alley was kind of far away and Jamie only went there a few times in the year, so he didn't include that as an option. For everything else he could think of, there was a if or but to go with it.

"I've only been to the Room of Requirement once," Jory said. "And that...wasn't good. Like...these guys dragged me in there..." He dropped his eyes and let one hand slip down over Jamie's chest to play his fingers lightly against the smooth skin. "But if we go to Hogsmeade someone might find out about you. We can try the Room of Requirement." He didn't want Jamie to be outed if he didn't want it.

Jamie nodded. The Room of Requirement sounded like the best bet, but he kind of enjoyed the risk of sneaking around. It was exciting. Jamie savored the way the light touch made him feel for a few moments before reluctantly saying. "It's really late." Or would early be more accurate at this point? "I'd better head back to the dorms." He said with a sigh. If his first class wasn't at eight in the morning, he would have stayed longer, but he needs to be able to somewhat function when dealing with Potions.

Jory sighed, too, but nodded. "Yeah," he said, then suggested a day and time they could meet. He didn't let Jamie agree or disagree before he took a slow kiss that would have to hold him over. When he reluctantly broke it, he moved and hopped off the windowsill to search for his shirt and pull it on.

Jamie took as much as possible from the kiss, although it only made him not want to leave even more. He let out a soft protest when Jory stood up and let his eyes trail over him for a moment before getting up to get his own shirt. He had to search for his shirt for a few seconds before he spotted it. Jamie slipped his shirt over his head and on, not really caring if it was inside out or backwards.

Jamie headed to the door, but on his way he wrapped his arm around Jory's waist and kissed him one last time for now. "I'll see you." He said with a wink. Jamie slipped out the door, down the stairs, and towards the Dungeons.
