Jamie brought a hand up and stroked the side of Jory's cheek lightly. "You're cute when you're listening to Jason Mraz sing about love and looking at the stars." He amended in a low, soft murmur. Jamie leaned in and kissed him a third time, this time he poured even more into it and held it longer. He only pulled away when his lungs were begging him for air. "Not to mention those amazing dance moves you had going on earlier." He teased with laughter in his voice.

Jory could get used to this, to easy conversation only broken by easier kisses and comfort he hadn't felt in months. Jamie's low voice was soothing as he spoke and Jory almost missed the last of what he said. When he realized what had been said, another easy flush rose to his neck and he shook his head. "That wasn't dancing, I've only ever danced, like, twice." That hadn't been enough to count as dancing, it had barely been swaying, or was his memory telling him a lie?

Okay, so it wasn't really dancing, but he had been moving along to the music, which is more than Jamie had ever done as far as dancing went. He had meant it teasingly, it was so easy to joke with Jory. Jamie shifted his weight to keep his leg from falling asleep, and in doing so accidentally bumped into Jory. "Oh, sorry." He apologized immediately.

"It's okay," Jory said, a hand falling without real thought to rest lightly against Jamie's leg. "I guess I'm not going to finish that." He nodded his head toward the large sheet of parchment laying down on the floor with partially filled-in constellations. Not that he minded, this had been a very good diversion. Besides, he was going to be coming back regularly to keep track of everything moving for himself instead of just trusting books.

Jamie had hardly noticed Jory's hand, it didn't make him uncomfortable or nervous, but it actually had the opposite affect. He glanced over to the large sheet of parchment over there and looked back at Jory. "You can finish it, if you want." He insisted, not wanting to hold him back. Jamie actually thought it was interesting, although he didn't fully understand it. He hadn't meant to distract Jory, it just kind of happened. And he didn't regret one minute of it.

"There's always tomorrow to draw them," Jory said, shrugging. "I like where I am. Besides, if I really wanna look at them, I'll just turn around." He glanced over his shoulder behind them where he linked up constellations without even thinking about it. If anything could make listening to Jason Mraz sing about love while looking at stars more cheesy, it would be listening to Jason Mraz sing about love while looking at stars while relaxing in Jamie's arms.

Jamie craned his neck backwards to look at the stars. He caught a glimpse of the twinkling lights in the sky and it nearly took his breath away. They were beautiful. Jamie twisted himself around slightly to a more comfortable position, even though he was not directly facing the stars. "They are amazing." He said. There were so many of them. "What do they mean?"

Jory gently loosened himself from Jamie's arms and pulled his legs up to turn and let them hang over the back edge of the window, out over the balcony. "Well they all make up constellations, even though there's only a certain number of constellations that are, like, official. Some of them have stories, but the most famous are the astrology signs. He pointed up and moved his hand in an arc through the middle of the sky, "That belt of stars is where all the signs are. It's the same plane as the sun moves."

Jamie nodded, even though he was lost already. He was never aware that the sun moved on a certain plain or that it corresponded to the stars. He only vaguely remembered what his sign was from his first year of Astrology. It felt like ages ago. He adjusted his arms as Jory moved around. He was still caught up in the fact that he was sitting there, holding Jory in his arms, and wishing for nothing more.

"You're whatever sign is on the opposite side of the earth from the sun, the one on the other side of the sun is your sun sign, which is a whole different thing. Like, I'm a Pisces, which is feminine and a water sign. I'm, like, supposed to be creative and an introvert and, like, easily led and weak-willed." Jory didn't exactly like the negative traits, but could he really argue with them?
It was easy to ramble a little about it when he was so comfortable with Jamie and given the opportunity to talk about something he loved. He settled his arm down again and rested his hand on Jamie's knee again. He wondered absently what Jamie's was, he couldn't help wondering if they were compatible in the star's eyes.

"I would hardly say that you were easily led." Jamie pointed out with a small laugh. After all, hadn't Jory gone against what everyone had advised? "So it like has to do with when you were born, right?" Jamie asked, he thought he could remember that much. Then again, it was very possible he could be wrong. It had been almost over five years since he last studied this and he hadn't bothered to look into any further after his class was finished for the year.

"Yep," Jory said. "If you're within two days of another sign, you're like a hybrid of them. I technically am, I'm only two days from an Aquarius, so I get a little bit of that, too. Each month there's a different pair of signs on opposite sides of the sun looking from the Earth, that's your sign." He shifted to lean lightly against Jamie, wanting to curl up, even if he could admit that part of his mind was definitely on things that weren't simple holding and talking about the stars, however much he enjoyed this.

"I was born in November--" Jamie said, pausing to try to remember what exactly his sign was. After a few seconds, he noticed the way they moonlight and starlight bounced off of Jory's face, making him look even more perfect than before. Within moments, Jamie completely lost track of his train of thought and fell silent. How did he get this? It was bad, it was what he wanted, but the more he sat there, the harder he found to just sit there and talk.

Jory's cheeks reddened as his mind made all the connections between Scorpios and Jamie. "Scorpio is all the way up through 21 November," he said. "They're passionate and loyal, protective, jealous...it's like...the sex sign. Supposed to be...intense...and have a lot of stamina..." A grin spread over his lips and he looked up at Jamie. After that, he hoped it didn't turn out that Jamie wasn't a Scorpio.

Jamie raised an eyebrow. "My birthday's November 8." He said, keeping his voice level. It made a lot of sense, but it was an interesting link. He looked down and noticed the color in Jory's cheeks instantly. It made him laugh and Jamie reached down and grabbed Jory's hand, squeezing it lightly.
