"Possession is... most of the law," Lyric said. He meant that possession was nine-tenths of the law, but it was too much to remember when he'd rather be taunting her with one corner of the sheer canopy. He waved it at her, then raised his arms over his head, as though the parts he held too high for her to reach would keep those hanging down behind him safe as well. Then he resumed bouncing. He had far too much energy to hold still!

Her lips made a tiny 'oh' shape. She tried to jump up and snatch it, but her fingers only barley touched the material. She tried jumping higher, but he was taller than her and it didn't help that he was jumping. "I swear I'll change that soon." the idiom made her wrinkle her nose, one her parents always used when she was young.
Her attention had shifted from the music to him and without realizing what she did, she placed her hand on his shoulder so could try to jump up and snatch the material. The close proximity didn't bother her in the least she was too absorbed in the fun to care in the least. “Trent, it’s mine.” her attempt to be whiny failed; she sounded more playful than what she tried to portray. Jumping once more as high as she could, but still failing to grab onto the sheer material, she was so not going to give up without a fight.

Lyric grinned and dipped the edge of the canopy toward her, jerking his hand back up out of her reach in a tease. "Mine," he said, enjoying the game of keep-away he'd started. He continued to bounce, and without any thought to it, decided that jumping around her would be even more fun.
"You... can't... get... it!" he laughed, bouncing between every word. He wished all parties had something to bounce on like this. Dancing was fun, but dancing and bouncing was better. That in mind, he switched from bouncing to dancing again, still swishing the canopy as far out of the girl's reach as he could. He liked it. Maybe he'd take it with him when he was done.

"I'm warning you! You don't return it then I'll..." [/b] what would she do? She tried to think up the most threatening thing possible, but they all seemed to take on a playful connotation. "I'll.... shave your head with this new spell I have while you sleep, and I'll make sure it's uneven!"[/color] that was the best she could come up with. She jumped up after the canopy pouting slightly, like a child deprived of their favorite treat. His jumping around her made her want to laugh, but this time she was able to suppress it and even stopped jumping to cross her arms over her chest. "I'm a poor and helpless girl! You guys are supposed to protect girls like me." she followed him with her eyes, if this wasn't going to work she would have to up her game.[/blockquote]

"If you shave my head I'll grow it back," Lyric said, "and I don't sleep, and you don't need protecting." He jump-danced around her, wondering if he jumped hard enough if she'd topple over. He started jumping higher, dancing forgotten again that quickly.
"RAWR!" He exclaimed. He wasn't going to protect her, he was a dragon! "I'm a dragon and you can't escape!" He flapped the canopy like wings behind him, not at all fazed by her seriousness. She couldn't bring him down, no matter how angry she pretended to be.

Celyn giggled, her attempt to be serious was failing, but she tried again. “Of course I need someone to protect me!” she made it look like she was bewildered, as if thinking otherwise was mad. She watched him jump up and down and the force made her stumble a bit.
Oh he was totally going down, she refused to lose this little game. She tried to jump, but it was hard with him jumping around and making her stumble. “I say we duel for the canopy! Dragon versus…” she couldn’t figure out what she could be, for a moment she furrowed her brows, deep in thought. She managed to grasp onto the small bedpost behind her, leaning down just slightly. “…Dragon versus Haietlik.” While a Haietlik was technically considered a dragon, they were fairly different from the conventional dragons that existed. “Roar to you too!” her roar wasn’t nearly as great as his, but she could at least try. Celyn tried to jump again, using the bedpost as help and eventually she managed without falling nor needing support. Despite the ‘intense’ moment when it came to the 'battle of the beasts', there was still a large grin spread across her face.

"I'm a Norwegian Ridgeback," Lyric claimed, "and you're a kelpie." A really f~ing cool kelpie, but that was what water serpents were and he was pretty sure that's what a Haietlik was. He didn't know much about kelpies, but they'd had to learn a list of them in Care of Magikal Creatures one year.
"I'm not going swimming today," he announced. He smirked at his cleverness and gave one last bounce before heading for the edge of the bed and leaping onto the nearest couch. "Can't catch me!" he taunted.

Damn it! he had figured out a loophole in her choice of beast. "Kelpie! I'll have you know I'm more ferocious than a Kelpie!" [/b] Kelpies weren't so bad as creatures, she herself had heard stories of a Kelpie that haunted the schools lakes. Of course, they were just older students trying to scare her. Celyn knew that what was a myth in the muggle world was real in their own and she had a good reason to be scared then. As Trent jumped off the bed, it took her longer to react, her lips stretched into a broad smile as she jumped down from the bed and chased after him. While he took on to the couches, she stayed on the ground. For now, the ground would be 'water' while the couches land. "You know this world is made up of more water than land!"[/b] she refused to lose, she would win this one if it took all the energy she could muster.[/blockquote]

"I'm not in the water so it doesn't matter!" Lyric taunted, jumping from the couch to a squashy chair. He'd spoken too soon, though; Lyric's foot caught on the edge of the canopy he'd been trailing behind him, and his eyes widened as he tipped forward, hands clutching sheer cloth convulsively, for all the good it did him. Less than a heartbeat passed before he was belly-down on the floor, the wind knocked out of him.
"OH MY GOD I'M DROWNING!" he yelled, the moment his lungs had filled. He flopped his arms and legs melodramatically.

Her laughter was so carefree and so alive, she hadn't felt so good in a long time. Celyn jumped after him, what she didn't expect was to see him crashing to the ground. Her eyes widened and for a fraction of a second she almost forgot the game, but his yelling only made her laugh cynically. She slowly walked over to him trying to muster the most evil look she could, but of course it came out looking a bit goofy. "Now you are in MY territory! I shall make you my slave and you shall do my bidding..." [/b] As soon as the words were out of her mouth she had managed to bang her leg on one of the couches and toppled over onto the ground just beside him, breaking her fall with her hands. Turning her head up, she looked at him just beside her and laughed, unable to hold back anymore. She collapsed on the ground, rolling onto her back and laughing hysterically. She couldn't even get up anymore.[/blockquote]

Lyric had opened his mouth to verbally accept slavery when the girl fell down next to him, and a burst of laughter came out instead. His wide-pupiled eyes sparked with humor as he looked at her, his mind spinning in a combination of everything. The manufactured happiness in his veins, adrenaline from running and jumping, and a touch of vertigo from the fall. He couldn't stop grinning, he felt like a kid.

She couldn't stop, and his own laughter added to the infused feeling of complete contentment. Nothing could bring her down, and nothing could induce negative emotions. She rolled on her side to face him, so close and still laughing. If only she had seen this side of him earlier, all the negativity in the previous week could have been avoided, but she was glad that she got this opportunity.

She had to be asking for it, had to be thinking about it on some level, he was sure. He was thinking about it with his spinning mind and rushing blood, and there wasn't any reason not to lean toward her and bring their lips together. They were having fun together, so why shouldn't they have more fun? It was a party of two, but it was still a party.

Her laughing was cut short by the gentle pressure of his lips against her own. It was unexpected, but the rush in her head kept her from stopping and instead she succumbed to the warmth of his lips to her own. What would she have done in such a situation? They had fun, they let loose, she found him to share the same more fun approach to life. What else was there? There was no other holding her down and she felt no moral obligation to Silver anymore, despite the fact that he obviously didn't give her the same privileged.
Her response was that of acceptance of the kiss. He may not have asked, but who honestly cared. There was no point in thinking it through and the last time she tried to think it just screwed things up. She's ask questions later this time- much later.

There were no questions in the kiss, and no answers. For Lyric, it was solely about the pleasant sensations of it, the warmth and pretense of intimacy that he could never have accepted in other circumstances. He moved to his side to face her, not really caring who she was or if she'd expect more than what he was taking. In his experience, no one expected anything, and that was the way he liked it. His hand found her waist and slid back without any real intentions as he parted his lips against hers.
