Markise's response was a slow bubble and a long glance at Jory before he turned to dig through one of his boxes again. He wouldn't close Jory out by counting just yet, but he could at least pull the stuff out and put it on the counter. When his bubble popped, he pulled it back into his mouth as he smoothed out the shirts he'd gotten today. "I'm not gonna talk you out of it again," he said simply.

"Well it's probably safer than sticking me out in the middle of London," Jory said, shrugging. Not that he wouldn't mind going to London again, but he didn't think he would be able to find his way around, much less get back to school afterward. Coming out wasn't much better, but he supposed he could survive that, at least he would know where he was and where he could run.

After talking to Katia, Quinn had spent a few days catching up on school work, and reliving what had happened with Lyric. Her permanent blush hadn't gone away yet, but rather lingered, and Quinn was having to get used to it being there. She hadn't seen Lyric since then either, but figured that he would show up, or she would find him eventually. What she wanted now was something Lyric had shown to her, and she had found entirely to intoxicating.
Dancing, she'd ever been known to twirl, but the dark room and heavy music had called to her. In that moment, despite whatever had been affecting them, she'd forgotten everything else but the sway and the beat. She wanted to go out to those places, and had heard of a few, but she didn't want to go alone, so she was planning on asking Markise to accompany her.
Quinn pushed open the door to Markise's shop and took a deep breath, her blush refreshing as she remembered buying the shirt for Lyric. Her eyes caught on Jory and she almost faltered, after all the last time she'd been here, he'd been nothing but doom and gloom. However, her desire to see Markise, and go dancing outweighed the desire to turn around and leave. Instead she squared her shoulder, putting on the confidence Lyric thought she had, and moved forward. "Hey Markise, Jory," she said softly.

Markise looked up from another bubble at the sound of Quinn's voice. She looked the same as ever, and he was reminded of the things Jory had said, about her being mean and hurtful when all he'd wanted was to understand. It still didn't make sense. "Hey, Quinn," he echoed. He wanted nothing to do with a repeat of whatever had happened last time and didn't feel like playing mediator, but he told himself he could stick around this time. To see who was making crap up, at least.

"Hey," Jory breathed, though his eyes moved quickly away from Quinn. He didn't want to feel miserable or anything around her, that would really make his next year and a half of school really suck. Maybe he could just forgive her like he could do so easily sometimes. He kept his mouth shut for now as he tried to figure things out.

Awkward, Quinn thought, but if he wasn't going to leave again, like he had the last time, she thought that maybe she'd just continue on with her conversation. If he wanted to listen, she didn't mind, after all, she wouldn't be talking about Lyric in front of him ever again. Quinn turned back to Markise, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear.
"So, I was hoping Markise, that you might be able to help me." She looked at the store, "not with clothes. I....well I wanted to go dancing, but I don't want to go without someone. I was hoping that you'd come with me." She turned a beaming smile up at Markise, she sincerely did want to go out with him.

Maybe Markise should have been surprised, but he wasn't. His girl friends had always wanted to dance with him, and he'd gone dancing with Anna a couple times before she'd disappeared. He was safe. It was a little annoying, but not as much as people coming to him for relationship advice. If they knew what an expert he was at getting kicked around, they'd probably stop. It was tempting, but only for a moment.
"Sure," he said. "We can go to the Bloody Mary sometime." The club was safe, too. No alcohol, no violence, no real excitement, but for someone who just wanted to dance a little it was fine. Anna had loved it, and Quinn would, too.

"Isn't that in Hogsmeade?" Jory asked without thinking. He had never been dancing, but that didn't mean he hadn't thought about it before. He had thought about the little club in Hogmeade, as well, though he had never had a reason to go. Besides, he wasn't sure he wanted to go dancing somewhere that all the people from school would be able to see him, anyway.

Quinn smiled again, "can we go," she wanted to say now, tonight, please just get me onto the dance floor. "today?" She closed her eyes and twirled around once, "I love dancing, I didn't know I would, but I do." After her twirl she blushed, and tucked a few more hairs away, "I don't care if it's in Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, or on the moon."

"It's in Hogsmeade," Markise said, answering Jory's question whether Quinn cared or not. "It's like, a few buildings that way." How had neither of them ever noticed a nightclub at the end of the street? He answered himself; they were both too self-absorbed to see past their own feet. "And I said sure, we'll go. I'll tell Ariel later." He seriously doubted he needed clearance to go to the Bloody Mary with Quinn.

Jory couldn't stop the glare he shot Quinn. No, they hadn't met on the best of terms, but she didn't have to ignore him, he wasn't ignoring her. He had known it was there, though he hadn't been through Hogsmeade enough to really notice where it was or anything other than overhearing other kids talking about it.

She was truly happy that they were going to go out, maybe she would have something to help get her mind off of obsessing over Lyric. She turned on that thought to look at Jory, noticing, if only for a second the glare that he was shooting her, even though she didn't understand why. As it seemed, she was at a loss around Jory, she couldn't figure out what he was angry about, first he didn't want to talk to her, and now he was glaring at her. The best she could do was throw another olive branch his way, "do you want to come too Jory?"

Oh God, Markise thought. He liked Quinn well enough, but the idea of Quinn and Jory together sounded like more mediation. I should get paid for this. Maybe Jory would forget all the advice he'd been given over the last fifteen minutes about going out and say no. Maybe he'd come down with the flu in the next couple of hours and he could send them off on their own. He refused to think about the possibility of feeling guilty again if something went wrong.

Jory's stare turned suspicious, the glare gone. "Why are you asking if I want to go?" He liked the idea of going out and doing something....but why was she asking? He watched her, wary, as he tried and failed to figure out an answer to his own question before she spoke. What if she was just trying to find something else to pick on him about?

Did it really need a reason she thought to herself. Quinn shrugged, because I am, because I can. "I just thought, well everyone should dance. Dancing is...nice." It felt good to just move to the music, with the music. Quinn blushed again, to do other things to music was nice too, but she wouldn't tell him that, if he wasn't there she might have told Markise that, but not with Jory here, that wouldn't be fair to either of them.
