With the help of a good levitation spell, Lalita had transported Dare from the fields to the Shack without running into trouble. Now, she opened the door to the shack and stepped in. The creaks everywhere made her paranoid and she looked around fully expecting to see Michael of Hells there waiting to catch her and Ivy. Not seeing anyone, Lalita continued on until she and Dare were in a room on the second floor. She tried to set Dare down easily, but a shaky hand proved otherwise.

Dare had moved past panic into fury long before his ungraceful thud to the dusty floor of the shack. He couldn't sneeze, couldn't do anything but try his damnedest to let every ounce of anger and loathing he could summon show through his eyes. Somewhere, Ivy could be murdering Michael in his name. His mind wouldn't shut down the possibilities, and the fear fed the fury.

Once he was situated Lalita paused. Was she just suppossed to knock him out and ditch him? She looked at him, sensing the frozen emotion. With a sigh, she walked over to him. "Just to let you know, no one is going to be physically hurt. You have my word on that." Well, she probably could assume that her word meant nothing to him. In a way, she wanted to procrastinate and not go back right away but there was only so much to do or say to a person frozen on the ground.

Did she expect Dare to respond? Did she expect him to suddenly thank her for her generosity? Did she expect him to believe her? He wanted five minutes with his wand and Lalita, five minutes to make her regret this, to call the Order and take off after Ivy. He didn't care what they were doing. Whatever it was, if that psycho was involved, someone was getting hurt.

Lalita stood awkwardly for a bit longer before sitting down at the other end of the room, facing Dare. He looked so.....so...sad and pathetic like that. Lalita knew that this was justified for Michael. But for Dare....he hadn't done anything. Why was he getting punished too? She shook the thoughts from her head. Now, of all times, was not the time to be second guessing anything!

It seemed like an eternity before Dare could feel his limbs begin to relax. He held as still as possible as it happened, hoping she wouldn't be able to tell that he was taking stock of everything as the spell faded. He didn't know where his wand was, but she had it, and her own as well. And she was watching him. He let his eyes scan the room, taking in as much detail as possible in one sweep of the walls. Then he set himself to glaring at Lalita, staring her down in the hopes that she'd look away and he could run.

Lalita held down her part of the stare for a while. During so, she fidgeted wondering if she should get her wand out. If anything were to happen, she would have the upperhand. For now she had given his wand to Ivy therefore he was defenseless. Being stared at was awkward though. She watched him so more before deciding that it ought to be time to leave. Standing up, she pointed her wand at him, "Sorry bud..Incarcerous!"

Dare was watching Lalita too closely not to see her grab her wand, and he swore, even as his muscles tensed to spring. Before the ropes had reached him, he'd rolled to his stomach, and another split-second later, he'd pushed to his feet and was sprinting toward the door, his heart pounding painfully. He prayed Lalita wasn't as good with a wand as Ivy as he tore the door open to race through.

Oh F~ were the exact words streaming through Lalita's head and she saw Dare get up to bolt. Oh F~! She was caught by such surprise that she forgot for a second how much closer to the door she was then him. She sprang to get into the doorway before he could, blocking off the exit and wand at the ready. "Obscuro!" She shouted. She hoped this would give her enough time to think of something else. If he got away....everything would be ruined!

Dare thanked God that she wasn't using nonverbals as he ducked Lalita's spell. The moment she'd opened her mouth, he'd lunged out of the way, half falling to his knees. In less than a heartbeat he was up, and he'd abandoned the door. Just like jumping off a tree, he told himself, praying it was true as he skidded and veered toward the nearest window. He forced his limbs to loosen and threw himself against rotted boards that splintered, but gave, sending him careening out, a two-second fall landing him on his feet, knees bending to take the impact as he tucked in to roll.

What the hell had happened? Did he really jump? Lalita ran to the window and looked down in a jaw dropping awe. God, Ivy was going to be pissed! She should have just done her duty and left liek she should have. Damn conscience! Lalita blinked out of it and sprinted to the door and down the two stories in hopes of not being too late. She was a fast runner....but it would seem as though Ivy was her only chance now to get Dare. Oh Ivy, please be on your way here!

Ivy was on her way there, and would have been there earlier if she had been old enough to Apparate. Instead, she had been forced to ride the Knight bus, probably the closest to suicide she would ever come. What she saw when she reached the shack made her jaw drop in shock. Was that Dare falling to the ground outside? She pulled out her wand and started running, the stupefy ready on her lips.

He'd made it. Somehow it had worked, and Lalita wasn't shooting spells out the window after him. His joints ached from the fall, but he was out, and if she was going through the building, she'd never catch him. Dare pushed to his feet, muscles bunching as he moved to run again, but he didn't make it more than a few steps. He turned and everything went red, then black.

The rush of a chase seemed to make Lalita's run through the building go faster. She wasn't even tired as she rounded out of the shack. But then she slowed to a jog when she saw Ivy cast the spell and Dare being hit with it. She closed her eyes, thanking whoever for having Ivy be there at the right time. When she got over Ivy, Lalita looked at Dare, "Who jumps out of a window?" She asked, now breathless.

"Someone that's been brainwashed by a Death Eater, obviously," Ivy said, glancing around before she levitated Dare to take him back inside. She could feel herself starting to change to normal, and she pulled out the uncomfortable lip ring before anything bad happened there. "How did he get loose, anyway?" she asked, eyes narrowing slightly at Lalita.
