Brindle was pretty good at transfiguration, and her brother and Dare were even better, but she wasn't sure that a transfigured guitar would work. Dare had been so picky about his guitar being perfectly tuned. She opted not to argue the point. If he said no, they wouldn't need to worry about it anyway.
"Yeah, I mean Dare and Michael," Brindle said, looking back at Quinn. "Dare used to play. Like, years ago, but he just stopped and we couldn't get him to owl home to have his guitar sent to school. It'd be really good, but he just doesn't anymore."

Dare, Madison thought, what a coincidence that she'd run into him the other day she thought. "If this is the Dare, Alasdair, but nobody calls him that Dare, I met him, and he played my guitar. Talented as heck, he played it upside down with inverted, for him, guitar strings." It had been wicked cool, she thought to herself.

Quinn didn't remember Dare telling her his name was Alasdair, so she couldn't really say that she knew if it was the same guy. "He's in almost all of my classes, I can ask him if he wants to, and if he was playing with Madison, maybe he'll be willing to play for this. After all, he has a vested interest in this." It was odd, because the two of them were who she'd been talking about wanting to support her friends by throwing this.

Brindle's eyes widened as she looked at Madison. "You're so sh~ing me," she said, hardly throwing an apologetic glance at Quinn. "I mean, I thought he stopped!" She shook her head slightly and blinked, trying to make it sink in faster. "Oh my God, I love Michael," she said under her breath. She blinked again and pulled herself out of it enough to be coherent. "If he's playing, we gotta get him to do it! He can sing, too. I used to have a massive crush on him."

Madison agreed whole-heartedly, "he's freaking hot," but she had a reserved wonder in her mind when she'd heard Quinn say that Dare had a vested interest in this. What vested interest did he have? "I'm on board with getting him, did you say that you thought you could convince him to play at this Quinn?"

Convince seemed a bit strong Quinn thought. She didn't want to look incompetent in the face of the other girls since they'd been the ones to come up with the majority of this idea, and she was supposed to be the leader. "I think I should be able to," if she could actually hold a conversation together with him, she hadn't been able to so far, but this was the first time since she'd talked to Adara that she'd have talked to Dare.

Brindle looked skeptically aside at Quinn, going silent a moment as she tried to think of a nicer way to say yeah, right. "I don't think you'll get anywhere with him," she said. "Two years none of his friends could get him to talk about his guitar. If you want him to do it, get Michael to talk to him. Michael got him to play again." And somehow, Michael had gotten a very anti-alcohol Dare drunk.

Madison didn't have anything to say to that, since she'd gotten Dare to play the guitar for a bit for her. She did think it was rather rude of Brindle to say to Quinn though, because Quinn didn't seem to type to offer things like that very often, as though she was trying very hard to come out of her shell.

Quinn just looked at Brindle for a moment, wondering since she'd met them if Michael had really said a whole lot. She was still going to ask Dare directly she wouldn't, and couldn't go behind someone's back to try and manipulate a situation where what she wanted would occur. But that in mind if the asking didn't work, she was willing to call in reinforcements if needed. She nodded, "I'll make sure and ask."

Brindle didn't know why Dare had played for Madison, but she did know that a few months ago, it never would have happened. She'd talked with Michael about it, so she wasn't pulling that declaration out of her ass. If he was playing again, it was recent, and she hadn't heard a thing from anyone that he was. She knew how stubborn Dare could be, and she was trying to help. She wanted to hear Dare play again. For now, she nodded. She thought she'd said enough.

Madison was fine with the way things were turning out, if they needed to get some funds together before they left then they'd need to get started on it. "Well, if we're decided, I think we should go do some of that fundraising."

Quinn nodded, "I don't think there's anything else to do for the plan. We'll need to get together to make fliers to put around town. Decide where we'll hold it, and how many people we think will show up, and then make sure we have some food or at least drinks for them." So money was an important issue, she needed to make sure they got as much of it as possible.

Brindle nodded as well, trying to think of if she knew anyone who would donate money. Unfortunately, she knew mostly students. Mostly broke students. "We should meet up again pretty soon to put together whatever we get," she suggested.

Madison nodded, she was okay with going off to fundraise, she wasn't sure she'd make anything, but she'd be okay with going off, trying. "Yeah, let's schedule to meet back here in a week, that way we get set the records on the right path."

Quinn was almost offended that Madison had took the lead, but then again, right now this was more of a joint project. "A week from now, we'll meet in the clubs quarters on campus. I'll start by canvasing the local area for support from local business owners.'
