"Brindle Sterling," Brin returned, and took Madison's hand in a proper shake. She certainly hadn't learned it from her father, who thought that should be and naturally were delicate flustering creatures, but it was definitely there. After a full year of hard training in Martial Arts, she was graceful, yes, but highly assured. "So, have I missed anything?" she asked.

Quinn shook her head, "not really we were talking about what we wanted to do. I think Madison was telling me that I might be a little over ambitious in my phraseology." Quinn settled her head back against wall behind her. "I want to do something big, make a statement, tell everyone that we're here, but beyond that I don't have a clue."

Thoughts were crossing Madison's mind as Quinn said she didn't know what to do. "We could throw some sort of benefit bash," parties were always something people attended. Depending on the party people were willing to pay also.

Brindle tried not to look at the two as though they were crazy, with only marginal success. For one, she didn't think phraseology was a word, and if it was, she had no clue what it would mean. And for another, she didn't see how throwing a party would help anything. She'd been under the impression that they'd be doing something equivalent to breaking into science buildings to free test mice. She gave a watery smile.

Quinn noticed the lack of talking from Brindle, and shrugged, "I don't have any ideas, I wasn't sure anyone was even going to show up. The only idea I have is picketing and protesting." And somehow being the first day out of the blocks she didn't want to cause a stir.

Madison took a queue from Quinn and looked at the girl who hadn't said anything. It hadn't passed by her mind that someone wouldn't want to go to a concert, but then again she didn't know everyone. She waited to see if the girl had any ideas on what they should be doing.

"Well, what are we advocating?" Brindle asked. She eyed the other girls, wondering why they were the ones looking at her like she was crazy. "I mean, what you do has got to make sense with what you're trying to say, right?" That flier hadn't said hardly anything, and Brindle was beginning to wish it had.

Quinn thought about it, thought about all of the things she wanted to advocate for. "I want to advocate for intelligent magical creatures that are not considered under the law. I want to advocate for homosexual couples, and I want to advocate for women." Those were the things on her mind at the moment, but then everything that was unjust was something she wanted to protest.

Madison's lips quirked, "I wouldn't mind talking about freedom of expression myself." After all, people who weren't allowed to speak their mind either became something dangerous or something downtrodden.

Brindle perked up considerably at Quinn's suggestions. "I'm so on board," she told the girl, flicking a somewhat apologetic glance aside at the blonde. But two of those suggestions hit painfully close to home. She thought for just a second before knocking one of those two aside. "If we're it, I don't think we ought to do women's rights first. All the guys will just roll their eyes and write us off, and yeah, I know that's part of what women's rights is about fixing, but if we get some cred from something else first, it might help with that. You think?" She looked between both girls now.

It felt like a relief again for someone else to understand what she was talking about, as though a door might open and a realization of her beliefs would be found. "I think that's a great idea." After all Dare and Michael needed the recognition, and she knew only to well that some things needed working up to. "It's fine, after all, who better do know about patience than women," she said a bit dryly but with a small bit of humor. It was ironic that women who wanted to change to world would fall back on something that had always given them power, patience.

Madison was a little bit less sure about supporting a gay function, not that she had anything against it. It was something that seemed a bit risque to do on the first function out of the gate, however as the daughter of people that supported such things she supposed it was never to early to start. "I'm in for whatever, my forte is more in making things happen once it's been decided."

Brindle hadn't said a thing about either of the other two suggestions Quinn had given, and now she was forced to think about it, since neither of the other girls had given a vote. "So that leaves what? Magical creatures and gay rights?" She was stuck enough on the idea of gay rights that she didn't have a single logical thought about that being too much to start out with, but she repressed the urge to jump in and demand they make the world safe for gays now.

Quinn thought about the options, when she'd tossed out women's rights her mind had gone straight to Dare & Michael. She silently apologized to Kiley for forgetting the other species, but the physical presence of people hurting was enough for her to put that issue aside for now. "I think that for this campus, for now we need to focus on the rights for gays."

Madison watched Quinn's face and saw something unwritten, a silent conversation where something happened. Everything seemed written on Quinn's face excpet for the eaxact thing that she was thinking about. She understood the emotions, but not why. "I'm fine with either. I'll help out however I can in either way." She had no emotional attachment to anyone in particular that suffered from these issues, and being as new to the magical world as she wasn't sure how steeped in problems those issues were.
