"We'll do gay rights, then," Brindle said, forgetting in her budding excitement that she might be stepping on someone's toes. But if Quinn wanted gay rights, and she wanted gay rights, and Madison didn't care, then there was no reason not to just go for it. "National Coming Out Day is October 11. Well, I think it's the 12th in the U.K., but either way, it's not that far off." If they asked why she knew that off the top of her head, she wasn't at all sure what she'd say.

Quinn looked at the Brindle and her eyes grew a bit wider, "we don't have very long to plan something then. We'll have to start with getting some supporters, we can't do anything without a budget of some kind."

Madison looked at Brindle for a second, wondering how she knew the exact dates for coming out days. But when Quinn started talking about how to plan or what to do, she knew what to do, "we could always throw a charity concert in support of the event. There are a few indie bands who would probably short notice support the event."

"In Scotland?" Brindle asked, looking at Madison. "I've been here since last October and the only bands I've heard anything about are on the Wizards' Wireless. Unless you've got connections..." And Brindle was sure that if this girl had connections in the music industry, word would have gotten around school. Besides, Madison was obviously not European, just by the way she talked, though she did have an Indie flair.

Madison's eyebrow shot up at the disbelief in the girl's tone, "I have some connections, in the muggle music industry, or rather my father does." Being an attending member of Woodstock her father kept up with bands, and even knew a few of the current ones. She didn't say they would be the most popular band in town, but not unheard of. "If we wanted to throw it incognito, in a muggle town, sell tickets to support gay rights. I might be able to pull it off."

Quinn looked between the girls, "if we need to scout around for money, that was part of why I had us meet here in Hogsmeade. I thought we could go to the shops and ask for donations, they would be a tax write off at the very least, and perhaps there are some people who would actually donate money for the cause itself."

Brindle threw a small smile at Quinn before turning her attention back to Madison's idea. "If we throw it incognito in a Muggle town, we'll be leaving out the Wizarding world, and they're a lot worse about anyone who's different than most Muggles." For example, though she couldn't say it, back in New York Markise was out. As long as he was careful he was fine. And here, and even on Diagon Alley, that couldn't happen. Just from what she'd heard happened to Dare. Not to mention what had happened at SWIM.

Madison looked at Brindle and had to concede that she was right, if they wanted to affect the wizarding world then it had to be held in the wizarding world. "I'd offer my services playing guitar, but one person isn't as much of a draw as multiple band members. Since I've only been here a short time I don't know who else I could ask to play with me." They'd probably need one guitarist on base and one of the main core, a drummer, and a singer. She didn't mind singing as well as playing the guitar, but the drum and second guitarist she couldn't pull out of her butt.

Quinn didn't know anyone either, in face she'd say she knew less than anyone, the few people that she'd talked to didn't seem as though they were her friends yet, with the aside to Markise. "Maybe Markise would know someone," she thought out loud. Markise's last name was Sterling, and Brindle's last name was Sterling, as Quinn looked Brindle over again she noticed something that had been tugging at her a bit. Brindle did look like Markise, how could it have taken her that long to notice? Quinn decided for once that she'd wait and see what Brindle had to say about that, because Markise hadn't mentioned Brindle.

Brindle blinked, her mind jumping entirely the wrong way for a moment at the mention of her brother when they were talking about gay rights. He wouldn't come out here, she knew it, and that thought kept her in shock for the time it took to connect to finding music again. Then she shook her head. "There isn't anyone around that plays," she said, then paused at a thought. "I know someone who used to play, but only for his friends." Brindle knew that Michael had gotten Dare to play at some point, and to sing, and she loved him for it, but as far as she knew, it was only that once.

Madison wondered out loud who that someone was. "If we can convince them that it's for a good cause then maybe he'll make an exception." If they had another guitarist that would help, but they'd still need a drummer, well need was subjective, but she'd want one. She wanted to make this as big as it could to make a statement.

Quinn thought for a moment, but no one she'd met so far played the guitar. "I don't care who it is, as long as we can get it together, then I can help get the money for it. Besides, it's important for more than just a statement, I want to be able to help my friends." Not that she was sure she could call Michael and Dare her friends, but she wanted to, and maybe this would help. Or it could be considered really creepy, she thought, frowning to herself, like her wand had seemed creepy. She didn't want them to think she was a perverted stalker.

"Yeah, it'd be great," Brindle said, agreeing with Quinn. Then she turned back to Madison. "Unless you have two guitars, 'cause he doesn't even have one anymore." That she knew of. He'd come back from spring break that year without it, had left it in his closet at home. "He was so good, though. If I knew how to talk him into it I would. Maybe Michael?" she wondered to herself. Michael had gotten him to play once somehow, so maybe he could get him to do it again.

Madison shook her head, "I only brought one guitar with me, although getting another guitar wouldn't be to hard, all we'd have to do is transfigure something into a guitar." She knew that her transfiguration skills weren't that great, but somebody here had to have decent skills in that area.

Quinn's head came up when she heard Michael's name, she wondered if it was Michael & Dare, or another Michael. It seemed to coincidental for it to be another Miachel, but she was interested. "Do you mean Michael as in Dare and Michael? Because him playing would be that much better for this"
