Mano didn't answer for Markise, though he knew that he was still a student at the school. It would force Markise to talk. So he settled back in the cushions and crossed his legs. He turned his attention to Markise and raised one eyebrow as he waited on an answer.

Markise shook his head, glancing briefly at Mano before forcing himself to look at Eros again. "I'm still at Hogwarts," he said, his voice soft. It wouldn't do him any good to play straight if they already knew about him and Mano. Or at least, his fake cousin did. And hadn't seemed at all upset about it. Plus, they had separate rooms. Markise didn't notice that he was trying to rationalize anything. "I had my seventeenth in February, but I've got another year left." He ended that brief information by taking another drink of wine.

Carolynn let out a low oooo at Markise's answer. He was still in school! That made him...she didn't want to think about that. She had already been the oldest in the room, and she didn't care to think about that fact too hard. "Where are you from?" she asked. All she could tell was that the accent was American.

Eros couldn't tell any more than Caro could. He could recognize many accents, even dialects of English, French, and Spanish with little difficulty, but he'd never been across the pond. Besides, any way one put it, American was still American. For now, Eros didn't make any associations with Michael's pet half-blood. He'd had a disturbing number of American Hogwarts students in his shop.

Mano looked over at Markise, glad to see him finally talking. And he was using such a pretty voice, as well. He couldn't help the small smile that lit his eyes as they took a trip over Markise's body while he wasn't being watched. He pulled them back up to a more appropriate level soon enough.

"New York," Markise answered, distracted enough by the question not to notice Mano's wandering eyes. "I went to school in California for five years, so everyone says I have an accent, even back home." One well-manicured hand rose to push back his hair again as he let himself look around. He really did like Mano's apartment.

Carolynn let out another low ooo at Markise's words. "New York? Oh I would love to go there sometime." She had heard it was a marvelous place. She could only imagine the sorts of fun she could have there. Perhaps she would have the chance to go some day. "Perhaps I could get you to show me the sights," she teased lightly.

Eros's lips quirked again at Caro's excitement. "I share in that sentiment. Having never been there myself, I believe it would be quite the diversion. Especially with a native as host." The boy was exquisite, and Eros could only imagine that he would be familiar with the most exclusive venues. Yes, it was obvious the boy lacked polish, but at seventeen, and with such a unique look, that hardly mattered. Besides, he was American.

Mano couldn't help following Markise's hand through his hair. He wished Markise would come around more often. His eyes wandered over to Eros for a moment and his lips pulled into a grin before he looked back over at Markise. He hid his grin behind another long sip from his near-empty glass.

Markise couldn't help being flattered by all that, and his lips curved. He really hadn't ever gone to see tourist things, and especially not anything people like them would be interested in. But the wine was doing its job, and Markise was beginning to feel more like playing than arguing. "I don't know, I'm a busy guy," he teased.

Carolynn grinned at Markise's tease, "Oh I'm sure we could make it all worth your while." Well, at least Eros and Mano could. As far as she knew he wouldn't appreciate her payment. Maybe she could help in him other ways. Maybe he would let her make him her doll for an hour or two if she promised compensation.

"Oh, yes," Eros agreed, hiding the brief conspiratorial smirk he'd given Mano. "Will you be in New York this summer?" he asked Markise, biding his time when he wanted to simply ask the boy to come with him. "If Mano finds himself tied to his shop, perhaps you'll consider showing me the sights for a weekend." His expression gave nothing away, aside from a light spark in his violet-blue eyes.

Mano looked up at Eros and then turned his eyes away, purposefully avoiding looking at Markise. If he looked at Markise, he would just give away too much of what he was thinking. He had a very good idea of what Eros had in mind, and he wouldn't give it away to Markise. It wasn't like he really saw it happening any time soon, anyway.

Markise brushed back his hair again, this time catching a soft curl to twirl lightly around his fingers. He couldn't help a brief glance aside at Mano, who was being so quiet, and apparently not even looking. So he gave the woman a friendly smile, then let himself enjoy flirting a little. His mind was already floating a little, so it was getting easier to not think about things if he didn't want to. "I don't know, it's hard to really see anything in that short a time. But I guess no one can go forever." He finished another glass.

Carolynn all but giggled into her glass at that and she raised her eyes up to look alternately at Eros and at Mano. "Well, I can't say much for Eros personally, but I've heard he can sight see as long as the best of them." There was no reason to say anything about Mano, Markise knew enough on that front from personal experience.
