Carolynn was relaxed downstairs with Mano, perhaps breaking in a new bottle of wine, and talking absently with Mano about how in a few years they would be married and possibly even with children. It was something she had accepted years before, but it was still a strange thought. She didn't know what to expect from it, but she knew what was expected of her, and she figured she could fake it well enough, at least.

Eros had told Mano that he'd stop by again, and it seemed like ages since their inebriated encounter. Since then, much had happened, and though he could easily have come during the day, he wished for less distraction than would come from such a meeting. And, to be honest, he wanted to see Caro as well and wouldn't put it past Mano to keep her secreted away.
He came bearing a bottle of fine spirits not unlike those which they'd relieved Emilian of. Identical, actually, though the bottle which Emilian had been sent had come with a note of fond appreciation for his excellent hospitality. And a note that his pillows needed fluffed properly in the future. His lips quirked with the thought as he knocked.

Mano gave a brief answer to Carolynn's last comment and then stood to open the door. When he opened the door and saw Eros, he smiled and stood back to let him in. "Come in," he said, glancing back toward Carolynn. "We were just relaxing a little." He didn't feel any differently toward Eros than he ever had, and their last encounter was little more than a fond memory.

Carolynn looked up and a broad smile pulled up her lips and she stood from her place lounging on the couch. "Eros!" she said, setting down her glass and taking a few steps toward the door. "It's good to see you." It had been far too long since she had seen him. She had thought it was going to be a good, relaxing night, but Eros coming over just made it all better.

Eros's violet-blue eyes shone as he bowed elegantly over Caro's hand, brushing his lips intimately against her knuckles. Though they had never been lovers, it was little secret that he quite enjoyed her charms.
"It's been ages, Caro," he murmured, straightening before he released her hand. "I understand that betrothal is treating you fairly. It certainly appears so." One brow arched ever slightly in a tease before he turned back toward Mano, offering the bottle.
"I had ordered this as a peace offering to Emilian and thought you might appreciate it as well," he said. It had been a pleasant evening, and Eros wasn't preoccupied with thoughts of either it or Mano, but it amused him to do so.

Mano closed the door behind Eros and took the bottle, smirking as he examined it. "Come on and sit down," he said, moving over to the couches and setting the bottle down, then going to get another glass for Eros. "We were just relaxing, I took a day off the cafe today." He deserved to have a day off every so often.

Carolynn had smiled sweetly and given a little half-curtsy at Eros' comments, then headed back to her spot lounging on one couch. There was plenty of room for each of them to have a seat, and she saw no reason to give up any of her own comfort for Eros to sit when there were perfectly good spaces elsewhere. "I heard about your little rendezvous with Mano," she teased, eyes sparkling brightly beneath her typical pink shadow, matching the glint of a thin film of glitter beneath her eyes. She enjoyed dressing up far too much for the few times she had gotten to do so since moving in.

Eros's smirk returned as he settled into a couch with his glass. He gave Mano a brief thanks before turning his attention to Carolynn. "If you've seen the pictures, I'm sure you'll agree it would have been a shame not to," he said. He thought it a shame, for a moment at least, that Caro hadn't been there with them, but no, it had been an altogether quite enjoyable evening. Eros looked aside at Mano for a moment, his gaze as lazy as ever. "Either way, perhaps it was overdue. Or perhaps my shop is so filled with Hogsmeade's darling youths that I was simply overjoyed to at last be in adult company." Eros let that rest as he took an appreciative sip of wine.

"I should be offended that you only wanted me because of being used to children," Mano said, raising an eyebrow at Eros as he settled in at the end of a couch. He shook his head and then nodded toward Carolynn, "I showed her the pictures I have, I think she about passed out from giggling..." Then he put his glass to his lips with a smile.

"Oh goodness it was strange to see Michael in such a position!" Carolynn said, her eyes widening as she pulled herself up a little. "But my did he find himself a catch." She grinned and turned her eyes down. She couldn't very well condone what Michael was doing, but at least the mudblood was good-looking. "And yes, how are you enjoying dealing with little snotty children, Eros?"

Eros had returned Mano's arched brow with gently laughing eyes, but the laughter faded at that question. "Oh, it's lovely," he told Caro dryly. "I simply take a break at every hour to recuperate and have Orenda perform regular cleaning spells in their wake. In the meantime, I'm regaled with stories of which candies are easiest stuck in which orifices, something which might, under entirely different circumstances, have been an entertaining thought." Eros took another sip. "And I've written the girl who owns the book store again, but she has yet to respond."

Mano nodded absently and flicked his eyes over toward Eros. "You're just a tad obsessed with getting that place, aren't you?" he asked. "You realize a book store would require more actual effort on your part?" Especially if he wanted to be successful, and especially if he wanted to be successful during the summer months where there wouldn't be nearly as much traffic.

Carolynn had been just about to ask for some examples of those orifices but the conversation turned before she had the chance. Still, her mind turned to thoughts of the pleasures of a well-placed lollipop. A smile pulled at her lips and her eyes sparked softly at the thoughts. She attempted, but failed, to bring her mind to the topic at hand, so just let herself enjoy her little fantasy.

"Balderdash, at least I'd have something to do between customers than remind myself how too many chocolates can spoil one's appearance," he said to Mano. "Not to mention that books gather an entirely different clientele, one which is most definitely literate. Unlike the brats who point to a clearly labeled display and ask what it is. I'll age before my time if I'm forced to suffer through much more." It was even worse than he'd imagined. Hours out of every day feigning politesse to those who would as soon use their own arm as a handkerchief.

Mano failed to keep a smirk from his lips and a light chuckle from escaping. "Well, I'm sure you'll find yourself loving all the free time and lack of income," he said. Of course, income didn't particularly matter to any of them, did it? But it was something else to be able to say that he could survive on his own if he really had to, like if he did something stupid and got disowned. He shivered at the thought.
