Markise nodded, though Ariel had already turned away. "I'll bring something to do," he offered, hoping to lower the tension even if he knew how impossible that was. He pushed away from the wall now, afraid to really move, but unable to keep leaning against it alone. "I'll see you," he said, then turned down the nearest empty corridor before he could do something after all.

Ariel nodded and watched Markise until he turned down that corridor before he himself turned to leave. He would go to his dorm and get what he needed, then head down and maybe try to go ahead and get in the water. At least that way he would already be relaxed by the time Markise got there.
