Dare's grin returned, and he turned back toward Michael. "Keep saying things like that and you might find yourself unable to take pictures." He gave Michael a suggestive look as he waited for Elouai to come back with her ball. Then he glanced around to make sure no one was looking before purposefully baiting Michael with one hand moving down his chest. His eyes managed to be smoky and laughing all at once.

Michael didn't even attempt to keep himself from taking a picture, though it was only one, and his eyes followed the hand that was taking the same path his own lips had taken many times before. By the time he found Dare's eyes again his own were sparkling with his thoughts. "Who's to say I would mind not being able to take my pictures?" he asked, raising one eyebrow.

Dare's brows rose in unison. "In a park?" he asked, only a moment before his lips curved into a wicked grin. He tossed a glance back at Elouai to be sure she was coming, then stalked back toward the blanket, stopping in front of Michael. He tucked his thumbs into his pockets and gave Michael a meaningful look. "You want to say that again?" he asked, only half teasing.

Michael's eyes widened and he grinned as he looked away. "Okay, maybe not here," he amended. He wasn't about to try anything as distracting as his thoughts were in the park. Still, his eyes found Dare's shoes and trailed up slowly, taking in his hands and the smooth skin of his torso before he finally let himself meet Dare's eyes again.

That look did nothing to cool Dare's blood. One hand rose, sifting through his hair, then moving to rub absently at his neck. It didn't do any good, though. He moved to kneel in front of Michael, then leaned forward to steal a kiss. As long as they didn't go too far, it would have to be okay, because there was no resisting when Michael looked at him like that.

Michael accepted and returned the kiss, his eyes closing slowly as he went into it. No one had taken any interest in them so far, they could get away with a kiss. He had the feeling much worse things had gone unnoticed in the park. He kept his hands firmly at the camera, trying to convince himself that at least if he wasn't touching Dare he could keep some form of control.

Dare was trying to convince himself of the same thing. He kept his hands flat against his own thighs for support as his head tilted slightly, angling to deepen the kiss. He told himself that if they weren't touching each other, it didn't count. It couldn't go any farther, and eventually they'd have to slow down. Unnoticed, Elouai returned and lay down again, ignoring it all.

Michael just kept himself from shifting closer, a part of his mind still insisted that they shouldn't even be kissing like this in public. He put the energy that was screaming to be let out via his hands into the kiss instead. Besides, they had been doing really good since leaving the apartment, they hadn't let themselves get distracted until now.

It got to be too much far too fast. It was all Dare could do not to push forward, to lay Michael back against the blanket and... His brows knitted as he forced the kiss to slow to something more manageable again. It was incredibly difficult. When he finally managed to break his lips from Michael's, his breath had quickened and his head was spinning a little. "We need to get out more," he breathed, nearly starting again anyway. They were way out of practice slowing down once they'd started.

Michael let out a breathy laugh and nodded. He leaned away slightly, straightening his back to keep himself from taking another kiss. Elouai picked her head up when she realized they had time to pay attention to her again and he reached out to rub her ears. His eyes flickered up to catch the sight of a small pair of eyes staring wide-eyed from behind the tree. He stared back. At least he did for a few moments before he realized that the kid must have been there long enough to see something, then he turned his eyes quickly away before hearing little running feet heading away from the tree.

Dare stared after the kid just as wide-eyed, both brows arched. It wasn't until they were well and truly alone that he looked back at Michael. One hand rose to rub sheepishly at the back of his neck. He cleared his throat lightly. "Maybe he'll end up more open-minded?" he suggested hopefully. Or maybe they'd get a firm glare from the parents as they all moved on.

Michael shrugged and glanced back to where the kid had disappeared to. "Hopefully," he said. "Maybe that's our purpose in life," he suggested, "To scar young children to create a better world for our kind." His lips curved and he shook his head, then looked back down at the camera. Our kind. It was so strange to think that they had two distinct groups that they belonged to, and if either one knew about the other....

Dare chuckled at that, and he brought his gaze to Michael's again. "It's a public service," he added. Scar young children. Dare sobered at the thought. "Do you think it really is scarring?" he asked softly. He hoped not. Not just for the kid who'd seen who knew how much of him and Michael kissing, but for any kids he and Michael might have some day. It was bizarre to realize he really had no idea.

Michael looked up at Dare, but shook his head. "No more scarring than seeing any other couple." He couldn't imagine that it would cause any lasting damage. "I guess...it's according to how the kid's parents react." If they didn't think it was a big deal, then it definitely wouldn't do anything, but if the parents acted like some of the people that had reacted to them at school and in Hogsmeade...

Dare's nose wrinkled at the thought, and he had a baseless hope that the kid just wouldn't mention it. He ran his hand through his hair, pushing it momentarily back before it fell over his eyes again. His lips quirked, and he looked back at Michael with glittering eyes. "I guess it's a good thing I didn't do what I really wanted to," he teased. Not that he thought he'd have gotten away with it.
