Holly laughed, the thought of her holding onto a hippogriff's back for dear life. "No, not that. I am scared of heights. I like to read?" The Ravenclaw had not seen any students reading except for in the library so she wondered if anyone else had a love for it like her.

"That counts as a hobby," Markise said. "Or an obsession for some people. You don't read poetry, do you?" Silver was into classics and poetry, but he'd read anything with letters printed on it, or at least it seemed that way to Markise. Not that Markise had any thoughts of trying to fix them up, but Silver could always use another friend.

"I have read some. I prefer this one muggle man named Edgar Allen Poe. My brother showed him to me long ago." Holly smiled remembering the days when her brother had read to her as a child. He had brought home all sorts of books. He was interested in muggles yet why did his path follow that of a deatheater?

That name didn't even ring a bell for Markise. "I have a couple friends who are into books," he offered, trying to stay afloat in a conversation he'd started. "I know Silver reads Muggle books, and the girl who owns the book shop, Annabelle, I'm pretty sure she does, too." He hadn't been to the bookstore to see for himself, but it was the best he could offer.

"That is nice. My brother used to read to me as a child so I got into it. I do not normally have time for relaxation as my affairs get in the way." Holly wrung her hands together almost feeling an invisible ring on her wedding finger. She winced batting the sensation away.

Her affairs. That was a delicate way to put it, considering he knew what she really meant. Not that Markise really had any idea how much energy it took to plan something like a wedding, but she had two years. Not to mention, "are you having to plan things yourself?" That would be complete misery.

"Of course not! I have a mother and servants." How dreadful to have to plan your own wedding! She knew her mother was already getting together arrangements. She had already received a bridal gown magazine! The wedding was two years away and it was going to be huge.

Of course not. Why would he even suggest such a thing? Likely because he'd never had a servant, let along servants. "Then if you don't mind me asking, what affairs are getting in the way of you relaxing? I mean, there are some things you could do that wouldn't take much time, right?"

"Well... I have classes, and tea, quality time with parents. My father makes sure I am never alone. He would not want me to get in trouble," she replied sarcastically. She didn't expect anyone to understand her situation but she could try.

Tea. Markise had thought the British, and their tea was a stereotype for the longest time before he'd come to England, and he still forgot about it sometimes. But that was the least of what Holly had said. "What do you mean never alone?" he asked. "Like, when you're at home?" It seemed like it would be pretty hard to watch someone all the time at a place as big as Hogwarts.
