Cleo ran her fingers over the pearls in admiration. She smiled at the thought of the necklace at her throat and the bracelet around her wrist. "Perfect, but can I try them on?" she asked. She turned to Emilian and saw him lost in thought. She nudged him gently, smiling. "Earth to Emilian" she murmured.

Emilian blinked his mind clear and looked up at her, "Yes, need me to take that other one off?" He leaned back off of the counter and gestured to the thin chain still around her neck. He watched her, almost worried that she wouldn't have the money, but she had assured him that her parents had plenty, so he wasn't too very worried about it.

"If you wouldn't mind" she said, turning her back to him. This time she left her hair in his way, causing him to move it himself, which in turn meant he would feel how silky smooth it was. "So just how much is this all going to cost my parents?" she asked, not that money was an issue, but she just wanted to know.

"You said you didn't want to know," Emilian said absently, moving her hair out of the way to unclasp the necklace. His hand lingered a little longer than needed in her hair, the soft feel of it taking his mind back to Adara. He reclasped it and lay it on the counter, picking up the pearl necklace to wrap around her neck.

"It would be nice to know just how painfully my parents are going to kill me once they find out" she said with a shrug. Her hand went to her throat as she looked in the mirror at the pearls. They lended her a sophistication and elegance that was often there, but never prominent, the playful design however kept the look fresh. She turned to Emilian. "Now because I picked these out, you can give me your opinion on them" she said with a grin.

Emilian thought about it, figuring up totals in his head. "Well that necklace is 350, the bracelet was the same, the earrings are 500 together. And this set...." He looked at it, absentmindedly settling her hair around her shoulders. "Is 800. So...." he went quiet for a second, doing the mental calculations, "2000." He didn't notice that she had said anything else, his mind had decided to focus all of its attentions on figuring up the total to save himself from living in his memories.

Cleo didn't even bat an eyelid at the total, she had managed to spend far more than that before. "So it should be swift and relatively pain free" she joked, grinning at Emilian. She waited for a moment to see if he would reply. "You really are away with the faries today" she said, nudging Emilian again to get his attention. "A good salesmen is always attentive to his customer's needs" she teased.

"Apologies," Emilian said bitterly. "My mind is elsewhere." Hopping from Diagon Alley to the castle to Dare and the note he carried to Adara. "And I believe I've helped you just as well as I would have had my mind been completely my own today." He knew what she was talking about, though, he could have been more attentive, but he had done the best he could, considering.

Cleo backed off, sensing the tension emmanating from him and the edge to his voice. "Don't worry about it" she mutttered. She reached up and took the necklace off. "I think that's everything I wanted" she said, turning away from him. She went over it mentally, a necklace, the earrings, and the set, everything she had wanted. "Perfect" she said, concluding her business. "Add a generous tip to that" she said, not really caring how much it was.

Emilian carried everything over to the register and punched in the numbers, hitting a button that would transfer the money from her parents' account to his, then reaching into a drawer to pull out the boxes he needed for the pieces. "I'm usually much more accommodating," he assured her, glancing up as he hooked the bracelet into a box and snapped it shut, then moving over to the single necklace.

"Then maybe I'll have to return one day and see if that's true" she said, her voice light with humour as she leaned her elbows on the counter and rested her chin on her hands, waiting for him to finish.

Emilian spared her a half a smile as he lay the set out in a large, square box, the necklace around the outside, with the bracelet a little closer to the middle and the earrings attached in the middle of the bracelet. Then he attached the other two pairs of earrings inside of two small boxes and pulled out a bag, stacking everything up so that it wouldn't, hopefully, move around too much. He picked up the paper with the account number on it, "If I don't get my money, I'm coming after you," he said, handing it back to her as he pushed the bag with her stuff it across the counter.

Cleo grinned, "Would you know where to find me?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. She didn't pick up the bag just yet, she was in no hurry to leave the shop.

"I have my ways," Emilian said, leaning over the counter. "I have contacts, I could get you." He could figure out how to get a hold of her, it wouldn't be that difficult, especially not when over 2000 galleons hung in the balance. He eyed her, he didn't really think it would be a problem, but he wouldn't hesitate to chase down what he was owed if it came to that.

Cleo laughed softly. "Sounds very threatening" she teased, but she shook her head. "My parent's have more than enough" she said, reassuring him.
