Gabby slumped against the cool glass of the window she was sitting by. She sighed and let her bag slide to the floor, hoping nothing broke as it did. Her heart wasn't in lessons, she couldn't concentrate and she hadn't even bothered going to them when she knew either Ryan or Vannah might be there. She was healing, both physically and emotionally. But seeing them would just reopen the wounds and Gabby just couldn't face them yet. She glanced up the corridor as she heard footsteps approaching...

Ryan had just got out of the hospital wing and was walking down the hall to head outside when he saw Gabby. He froze up, not really wanting to be anywhere near her after what she did last time she saw him.

As Gabby saw Ryan her heart stopped for just a second. She swallowed, her mouth suddnely dry. She stood up and took a few steps towards him, trying to think of anything to say. "Ryan" she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper, but in the quiet, deserted corridor it would carry to Ryan like a sigh on the wind. She stood there, not sure how she should act.

Ryan made sure his wand was in reach, not to attack but to protect "Gabby." he said in response, wishing he was anywhere but here at this moment.

She sighed, this was going to be hard for both of them. "I'm sorry" she said quietly, not able to look him in the eye. She had been furious at the time, and although Ryan had deserved it, that didn't make it right for her to actually curse him. A hand went to her throat subconsciously. She had taken to wearing a long chain with her ring on hidden under her clothes. She couldn't bear to not wear it, but she didn't want to wear it as a ring and for everyone to know she still wore it.

Ryan looked at her amazed that she was saying sorry to him. He had deserved what he had gotten "Don't say sorry. You have no reason to."

Gabby nodded, "Okay" she said, not arguing with him as she did think he had deserved it. She sighed and turned to sit back in her seat, gestuing that Ryan should follow, they had to sort things out as some point anyway.

Ryan was hesitant but followed gabby and sat next to her and looked at her, thinking about what she was going to say or do.

Gabby looked up at Ryan, hesitating for a second before she began to speak. "Things between us didn't end well" she started. "Though I'm not surprised due to the way you told me" she continued, her voice sharp, she could fel her anger returning, but she tried to squash it. She wouldn't lose her temper again, but she might still shout at him.

"Then how did you want it to end?" she retorted. "Us as good friends? You think I would understand something like that." she asked, her voice bitter, how could he expect her to be anything but angry and upset. She could feel tears about to spill down her cheeks. Her emotions had gone haywire recently and it was anyone's guess as to whether she was laughing, crying or screaming at someone at any given time.

Ryan sighed "I wasn't wanting it to end." he said softly, just barely above a whisper. Before the mascarade and Vannah hitting on him alot he never even thought of being away from Gabby.

"Really?" she said sarcastically. "Funny I thought that if you want to be with someone, you don't really go around with your tongue down other girl's throats" she continued, glaring at him. "I don't care that you never wanted it to end, you still did it" she said, her voice a little quieter.

"You did," she said, agreeing with him, well he had got that right at least. She turned to him, "What can't loko at me?" she asked, her voice challenging him. "Who do you think was hurt the most Ryan?" she asked softly, curious as to the answer.
