Larten walked out into the Forbidden forest to his normal spot . He looked up at the sky and Mari fell into his mind ...He hadent talked to her since that womderful night at the shierking shack . He remebered it vidivly . He smiled and layed down and looked up at the beutiful moon and sky .

Mari was headed into the Forest hoping that most students would be anywhere but there. It had been almost a week since she had been in the Forest. She made her way on the familiar path to the clearing. When she came to the clearing and over to her tree, she frowned. It looked like someone else was there. It was Larten. She breathed a sigh of relief glad it was someone familiar. Her smile came back slowly. She knelt down next to him and kissed him softly. "Miss me?" She asked as she pulled back up.

Larten smiled . " God I missed you " he said returning her kiss . He stood up to and smiled with her ." You'll never believe my day...I was attacked by that Julius fellow...My father is comeing down here..." he said fear flashing in his eyes . He knows his fathers going to kill Julius ...He shook his head and smiled at Mari " I missed you babe " he said kissing her .

His father's coming? Mari thought estranged by the thought. She pulled away from the kiss. "Hold on, wait a second. Can you start over?" She was very confused and so many questions flooded her mind. "Why did Julius attack you?" It was a good place to begin.

Larten thought about telling her but he couldent "I danced with Cassie at the club and he thought was something more ...I've got a couple bruises ....And my shop is messed up ...But i owled my father...And he said he was comeing to " Deal " with this problem..." he said looking down . " But I know if he comes...Julius isen't going to be so good after..." he mumbled .

"Okay, now tell me about your father." Mari asked. "Why would he be the one to punish Julius? Why not you? You are the one with the most recent education in Wizardry." Unless...no, it couldn't be that. Or could it? It would make sense. He was a Slytherin, most Slytherins had family members that were Death Eaters. But some didn't. There was hope, right?

Larten looked at her ." Julius is a ex Auror...You think I can take down a Ex Auror ...My father...." he dident want to lie to her anymore " My father is a Death Eater...One of the best..." he said . He looked down . She was the only person who knew this now . " He was one of the Dark Lords favorites...My father isen't afraid to kill a man...." he said putting his face in his hands " I'm not like him though...Mari I want to get Serious with you ..." he said looking up to her.

The news probably came more of a shock than it should have. Mari's brows furrowed. "Larten, you're not making any sense." She said with a sigh. "You would release a Death Eater on a former Auror just because you were dancing with his girlfriend?" Mari shook her head. "That doesn't seem right.

Larten shook his head " No no . Julius attacked me and ofcourse I owled my father telling him that I was attacked . My father said that he was comeing down here but I told him not to ...But it isen't right that a 25 year old is attacking a 17 year old ...If Cassie wasen't there he would have killed me ...." he said " I don't want him to come..." he said .

"If you don't want him to come, why would you tell him about this?" Mari was beginning to get aggravated. "It still doesn't make any sense that Julius would attack you just because you danced with her." Mari looked at him, suddenly getting it. She was right, it didn't make sense. So there had to be more. "Or was it because there's more to it?"

Larten sighed " I might have called him a few names and ...And I pushed him out the way to keep dancing with her...Mari im sorry...But I kissed her....I'm sooo sorry...I want to be with you....But ...But ....It was a crush from long ago...But i want to be with you now...I made up my mind ." he said.

Mari rolled her eyes. "Now that Julius almost killed you? Great time to make up your mind." She snapped. Her words were bitter and sarcastic and intended to hurt. "It shouldn't even matter. You were the one who wanted this and I told you it wouldn't work. Maybe I was right." She shook her head again. She didn't intend to be this mean and bitter, but it just came out. She couldn't stop it.

"Relationships." Mari muttered disgustedly under her breath. "They never work." She scoffed and turned around sharply to face him. "For all you know, I've screwed every guy I've seen since the night in the Shack." She hadn't actually done it of course, but hopefully the point was made.
