Neo's blood was still humming, still heated, and the gleam in her eyes did little to cool it. His own eyes shone with heat, with recognition of the light touch of her fingers and the still close press of her body. Though the only verbal response he gave was a casual "nice to know," he couldn't help thinking that lately, she'd been surprising him, too. He didn't miss the disapproving schoolmarm in the least, though he continuously expected to see her.

Arwen smiled, still moving her fingers on his face. She wasn't yet ready to pull away from him, the feel of his body against hers still one of the most amazing feelings, so comforting. A happy sigh escaped her lips and she moved on to watching her fingers in their small movements, breaking the eye contact.

The contented joy in her eyes was both comfort and torment to Neo. Part of him wanted to capture the moment, to hold it close and refuse to let go, but another part of him still shrank from it, still feared the depth of it. So he simply enjoyed himself for a while, let himself bask, and then, when it got to be too much, as it always did, he turned away and slipped his reflective glasses back on. "We should head back to the castle," he suggested.

Arwen looked down, nodding, "We probably should." Though she looked away from him, the glow was still on her face, the happiness was still obvious. She pulled away from him and glanced down the path where she knew the school lay. It was odd, considering going out in front of everyone with him, and yet no one would know who they were. She wondered vaguely if she would run into the pirate again.
