Gabby tore through the school, not even knowing where she was going. As she reached the entrance hall she turned and burst through the doors. She ran down the steps and across the grass as tears poured down her cheeks. It was dawn and the sun had just broken the horizon, casting a pearly glow over everything. She didn't notice though as she flung herself down on the grass at the waters edge. She couldn't believe what she had just done, she was too numb to think so she just sat there, the tears sliding down her cheeks.

Kadie was just walking along, feeling happy about the way things were going. She'd been smiling at people and all that. It was strange. She'd been the Snow Queen for so long, that it felt weird to feel happy and alive again. But, it felt really good.
She stopped in her tracks as she noticed a girl sitting down at the water's edge, tears sliding down her cheeks. Kadie recognized her. She was one of Ryan's victims. Kadie had never liked Ryan Magby, but she felt really sorry for the girl.
"Hey, you okay?" she asked gently as she came and stood sort of by her, but also giving her some space.

Liam had been walking down the hall before he was knocked over by Gabby. As he got up, he saw some tears fall to the ground. He followed, but silently and made sure not to scare her. Since he wasn't wearing his robes as it there was not any classes this day, he had worn an armband around where his left elbow would be. he kept his distance and watched from a bench, which was quite a distance away from the lake so that it seemed like it was a coincidence. He then saw Kadie approach Gabby and waited to see what happened.

Gabby's tears slowed and almost stopped as Gabby heard someone talking to her. She looked up and the first words that came to mind were 'Snow Queen'. She dismissed this though, feeling a little awkward as she recognised the girl from her house. "Everyone always asks that, and its obvious I'm not ok" she replied. "Do you feel like listening to a girl who hates guys and wants to strangle them at the moment?" she said suddenly, holding her breath after her outburst, she didn't know how she would reply to that.

She sat down at Gabby's question.
"Actually, it feels better to talk about it. I know how you feel. There was a time when I wanted to strangle every single guy on the planet. In fact, I still feel like that at times," she responded.
"So yes, I'm willing to listen. I've been there before," she added. She looked over and saw Liam and gave him a half-smile before turning her attention back to Gabby.

Gabby followed Kadie's gaze and at the sight of a guy, regardless that he was a fellow quidditch player on the team, she wanted to curse him. She turned around before the urge became too strong. "It all started a few months ago" she started before trailing off, she wasn't sure how to continue and the strength of her rage was something she was still getting used to, she had always been pretty relaxed before.

"What started a few months ago?" she asked gently to indicate that she was listening. She could sense though that Gabby was gathering her thoughts. Inwardly, she thought she understood. She'd been through hell with Justin. And she was sure that Gabby had just been hurt by Ryan. It was just a guess, but she was pretty sure that it was a good one. But then, she'd been very critical of guys up until now. And really she was still critical of a lot of them around here.

"Everything" Gabby said to begin. "I met Ryan, we started dating, we got engaged. Then" Gabby stopped, so far she had been very distant from what she was saying, as though it hadn't actually happened to her, but a friend. But actually saying it made it real. She just shook her head, hoping that the right words would come soon.

If Kadie were really bad at hiding her emotions, her eyebrow def would have raised as Gabby informed her that she and Ryan had gotten engaged. As a 4th year? Wow. But then, maybe Kadie wasn't the one to judge. Her ideas and views on marriage weren't exactly the best.
She waited for Gabby to go on, just watching her and letting her know that she was listening. Stupid guys. What women allowed men to do. Kadie kept telling herself she wouldn't ever allow that again. Sure she had fallen for Jacob, and it was still slightly scary to her, but she knew that she wasn't the same girl who would allow crap to happen to her. She hoped that Gabby wouldn't allow a man like Ryan to ever walk on her ever again, cause she really knew how that felt, and it did not feel very good at all.

Gabby took a deep breath before continuing. "Then Vannah came back on the scene. His ex, I caught them folling around together ar the lake, he got hurt, had to go to the hospital wing. Vannah left and I stayed for a while, I fainted as my scar reopened" at that Gabby winced and her hands went instinctivly to the thick bandaging around her torso. "Then later when I went back I found him and Vannah asleep together. I kind of lost my temper" at this Gabby couldn't help but grin, her rage was still coursing through her veins and she liked how it felt, although she knew deep down it was wrong. "Things went downhill after that" she finished for the moment.

ooc: I guess this is as good an opprotunity as any. I don't want to be left out. rofl.
Liam saw as Kadie look at him and felt a little nervous before smiling a little. He then saw her turn back to talk to Gabby. It had been a while now and, due to the distance between his position and the lake, he was unable to distinguish of things had calmed down. He had stood up slowly and walked towards the lake. He decided just to say hello casually. "Hello Kadie, Hello Gabby." he said with a smile as he got close enough to the two. He was unaware that this would be a mistake he would regret.

"Oh hey Liam" Gabby said, her voice sickly sweet, a smile close to a grimace on her face. "Have you come to demonstrate how annoying and worthless men are?" she asked brightly, her voice screaming with sarcasm. She cleared her throat in disgust and turned away from him, to Kadie. "See what I mean" she said quietly. "It just comes out" she said, frustrated that she wasn't in control of herself.

Liam tensed up at this comment. When did Gabby become a man hater? The 'worthless' bit was also a low blow as he already felt he was that way. "Um..no..I just wanted to see what was wrong. I'm sorry if this is a bad time." he said, covering up his annoyance.

Gabby bit her lip, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Liam didn't deserve this treatment. They were friends and both on the quidditch team. "I'm sorry Liam" she murmured, "Just had a really rough time" she said, not quite able to look him in the eye. It seemed that Liam could possibly be the exception to the rule at the moment, the rule that stipulated that she hated every man in sight.

Liam nodded a little. "It's alright, I understand completely." he said, which was a bit of a half-lie. He did not know the scenario, but he understood the rough time bit. He was still tense at the comment however, but was playing it off as if he was stretching his arms. It was still dawn, so it was easy to believe he needed to stretch.
