Despair at Dawn (Kadie&Liam)

Gabby looked up at him. "It's not" she said shaking her head, "I insulted you, it was injust and you certainly didn't deserve it." she concluded with an apologetic smile. "Ryan and I, we uh, we split up, I caught him cheating with another girl and so I'm not exactly myself at the moment" she admitted. She felt comfortable telling Liam as they were quite close, and she knew he wouldn't judge her, or likely talk about it that much.

[Liam McAdam]

Liam looked at her and knew her point of view. He did not know alot about dating, but he could compare 'cheating' when it came to relationships to betrayal when it came to team efforts. He put his left hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner. "I understand Gabby. And don't worry about the insult, I'm used to it." he said, unintentionally stating that he was usually called a useless or worthless person in the past.

[Gabby Brocklehurst]

She sighed, "It's not fair, not fair that you're used to it, and not fair that someone should be able to hurt this much" on the last words her voice dropped to a whisper and she felt the tears silently slide down her cheeks. She buried her head in her arms and sobbed quietky, hoping they would understand.

[Liam McAdam]

Liam saw that Gabby started to cry and acted on a reflex. He gently hugged Gabby in a comforting way, doing what he could to comfort her. "Don't worry.." he started in a soothing tone. "We're here for you.." he said, reffering to Kadie aswell.

The kindness only made her cry harder as she hadn't been expecting it. She had started to think that only misery and heartache came her way. "Thanks you guys" she managed to get out between the sobs. She quietened a little and raised her head to wipe away the tears. "Now I look as awfulas I feel" she said ruefully as she ran her hand through her curls.

"Anytime.." he said in the same comforting tone. He was glad she was calming down a little and heard her comment about her looking awful. "You don't look awful." he said, in hopes of complimenting her. "It's in the past...And the past is something that can alter the future." he said, somewhat hypocritical. He was giving this advice, yet he didn't believe it himself.

Gabby had zoned out a little, but she nodded as she heard a voice. "Thanks" she murmured, hoping they hadn't noticed that she hadn't been paying attention. She smiled a little as Liam's compliment filtered through. "At least someone is trying to restore my faith in men" she said, joking weakly.

[Kadie Taylor]

She just sat there and listened to the conversation and then smiled at Gabby at the end.

"Don't worry about it. Yeah, not all men are scum as I used to think when I was the Snow Queen. But hey, Ryan is scum," she said with a wink.

"Sorry. But I've always thought that. But this probably isn't making you feel any better. But I can tell you, I've been through this, and it does hurt for awhile. But then it doesn't hurt anymore. It doesn't hurt for me anymore, so I hope it won't hurt for you someday," she tried to assure her.

Gabby looked up and smiled at Kadie, wishing with all her heart that she was right, that one day it would stop hurting. "Thanks you guys" she said softly, looking at both of them. "I know it's going to hurt for a while, but he was scum and he deserved my curse" she added softly, hoping they wouldn't think badly of her because she had cursed Ryan.

Liam nodded, agreeing with both Kadie and Gabby. He felt good, helping others out. Maybe because his new friends had helped him. Before he even came her, he felt like he had no friends what so ever. "He got what was coming to him." he said before realizing he may have said it wrong. "Is that how people say it?" he asked, feeling stupid, yet it seemed like he was joking.

It wasn't just the phrase that made Gabby laugh, but also Liam's questioning of it. "Yes, that's it" she said, still laughing. "You guys are true friends" she said, smiling at both of them.

[Kadie Taylor]

She smiled at Gabby.

"Yeah, I've cursed quite a few males at this place in my time. Hadn't gotten around to Ryan yet, so I'm glad that you got him," she said with a wink.

"I made the mistake though after getting played, of being low and down in the dumps. What you should do is get all dressed up really nice and have fun with a ton of guys. Make him miss you a little and wish that he wasn't such an ass," she said with a grin.

Liam blushed at Gabby's laughter at how stupid he sounded. He then heard Kadie speak and realized something at Kadie's idea. Maybe Ryan had thought of that and did so. "Well, I guess that works. I don't know alot about dating really. But I do not see how someone can be like a donkey." he said, mistaking her comment with the term for a donkey.

[Kadie Taylor]

A huge smile played on her lips at Liam's words about a donkey. She couldn't help it, she started laughing.

"Yes, exactly," she finally said, after her laughter had subsided somewhat.

"You know, I can actually picture Ryan with a donkey head," she commented, a playful grin playing on her lips.

"Oooh, or even with a tail," she added.

Liam laughed a bit before realizing his stupidity. "I might need a dictionary to learn just about everyword that is used here." he said, blushing a bit. "Because I am guessing what you mean by 'ass' and what I thought were different." he added.
